Since Hilary Duff seems to be a favorite of many of you here, I figured I’d post a few promo shots from her upcoming album “Dignity”.
She looks fabulous here… although I wonder how much photoshopping was needed. Probably not much for her figure.
This article isn’t really “celebrity weight related” as most of my posts are, but I feel this is important enough to mention here. A lot of us are weight-obsessed enough to appreciate this information…
Anyway, it seems there is a new trend in the advertising industry taking place… and that is having “regular” and “full-sized” women in ads. Dove, Vogue and even Slim-Fast are jumping on the bandwagon, and many others are likely going to follow suit.
In 2005, the beauty product brand Dove introduced a “Real Women” campaign, which featured everyday beautiful women - not actresses or models - who had curves, shapes and imperfections.
“The Dove Campaign for Real Beauty is committed to widening the current definition of beauty and inspiring more women to believe in and enjoy their own beauty,” says Dove’s marketing director Kathy O’Brien, “to show that real beauty is more than thin, blond and young.”
The Dove campaign appears to have started a bit of a trend. Other companies have caught on; even Slim-Fast, a weight-loss company, began this year advertising its Optima shakes using curvaceous women with “hips,” as the commercial says, “not hipbones.”
Sara Ramirez is Dove’s latest spokesperson. Many of you may know her as “Callie” from Grey’s Anatomy.
What will this all mean for the celebrity skinny trend? Will we see celebrities getting larger and larger? Will being overweight become normal, and even sought after?
I’ve gotten several tips that Jennifer Love Hewitt seems to have lost some weight, based on the photos below.
Perhaps she has, but Jennifer has been known to carry most of her weight in her leg/thigh and upper arm area. Her legs are completely covered in this dress, and her upper arms still look the same. Her midsection area seems very small, but that can easily be accomplished by wearing some sort of girdle garment.
So I ask, has she really lost weight? Or is it just clever dressing?

Well, she showed up at the Entertainment Weekly Oscar Party just a couple of nights ago, looking older, but very slim. What a tiny waist!
