How Eva Longoria Keeps Her Figure

Eva Longoria, who plays Gabriella Solis on the fabulous hit show Desperate Housewives, will probably be in the paparazzi spotlight a lot in upcoming months due to her impending July wedding. I figured I would research her diet plan and share it with you all in case you were curious.

So, you ask, how does Eva Longoria keep her figure so slim and toned? According to this article, it’s all due to healthy eating and exercise. She works out times a week with trainer Patrick Murphy. They do lots of lunges, squats and leg presses, as well as some cardio on a stationary bike. But it isn’t easy.

“Sometimes Pat literally has to drag me out of bed,” she says.

Eva also grew up eating healthy foods. She enjoys protein-packed lean breakfasts, such as egg whites and yogurt. Also, since all of the other housewives probably have to watch their figures as well, there is usually healthy food on the set of DH. Things like whole grains, salads, vegetables, fruits and lean meats.

But the actress does keep it real–and yes! she indulges. “Chocolate-chip cookies are my weakness, and I eat pizza often–sometimes twice a week,” Eva says. “I know my body craves what it needs, and sometimes it needs pizza!”

If Eva’s gorgeously slim figure is any indication, her methods of healthy eating and exercise work!

    I believe her secret is a little known tip called GENETICS, look at her frame, she’s a tiny girl.

    I think she always seems sweet and grounded ! And yes its partly genetics, but as you hear, she is very sensible about her lifestyle too…. And maybe some of her *cough* healthy sexual appetite has something to do with it too :P Haha…

    She’s adorable!! Very fit, petite and sexy. Love her shiny dark eyes and hair. She seems to have a healthy attitude about nutrition and food and is definitely in great shape.

    Most ppl dont know this, but she is naturally very slim…her whole life. She was teased as a kid for being so tiny and skinny.

    Let’s face it, she has a wicked fast metabolism.

    I’m guessing her ‘dieting’, isn’t the horrible, starvation we would consider dieting.

    She was blessed with good genes…Im sure she eats lots of food.

    I thought I’ve seen pictures of Eva scarfing down giant bagels with cream cheese on the desperate housewives set. I really don’t think she has ever had to follow any high protein/low carb type of diet. She’s just naturally small. Most people want to believe that certain people are thin because they have to work hard at it, but my mom has been 5′2 and about 92 lbs after having 2 kids for most of her life. Just recently (after menopause) did she hit 100lbs, and she’s never been on a diet her whole life!

    It’s her genes. I’ve heard numerous interviews with the other housewives and they all claim that Eva eats any and everything on set, and they all watch in amazement as she scarfs down pasta, donuts, snickers bars etc. I’ve even seen pictures of her walking around with candy bars. She just works out to stay toned but she’s naturally small

    it really pisses me off when people claim i can eat what i want and stay thin
    it just isnt possible to be scoffing on doughnuts, pizza, chips, chocolate bars etc three times a day, seven days a week and remain very thin
    they may have treats, but i do not believe three square meals a day full of every single food group passes longoria lips seven days of the week, you would have to be an athlete to get rid of that many calories
    please
    people i have met who claim such rubbish eat twice or sometimes once a day and thats it
    and its usually fish and some form of salad rarely rice, pasta, potatoes etc plays any part of their diet
    just admit you adhere to a strict diet and exercise, come when some one describes pizza as a treat is that realy a person who eats what they want?? i doubt she has bread or pasta even twice a week
    there should be more gwen stefani’s out there, just admit to the truth, people arent stupid

    not true. I had a friend who did exactly that. Essentially McDonald’s (or equivalent) every day. She loved the stuff. And she was 5′8″ and 105 lbs. VERY VERY thin.

    Sorry to break it to you but there really are people like that, my best friend is one of them. She consumes about 2800 calories a day, I’ve seen it with my own eyes and she is pin thin. It is very rare but it does exist.

    I agree with those that said that some people can truly eat what they want and remain thin. It’s rare but it happens. If there are people who can eat very little and still gain tons of weight, there are people on the opposite end of the metabolism scale.

    She drinks 3 liters of water a day. She stays on a diet. At her big birthday party in Vegas, she didn’t even eat any of her own birthday cake. She was a Phys Ed. major in college. And she is 5 ft. 1 in. tall and wears a size 0. This lady is very small and very thin, do not compare yourself with her. Unless you want 3 liters of water a day, daily hour long workouts and to abstain from your favorites,(even on special occasions) etc…..
    Being that thin just isn’t that important to me!!

    All this conflicting info is hilarious. She eats donuts all day, no she doesn’t even eat her own birthday cake. I agree genetics plays a big role. We shouldn’t use genetics as an excuse to get heavy, but there are people, like those mentioned above, who are slim despite eating a lot, even a lot of junk.

    I have friends who claimed to eat what they want and never get fat - guess what - all hokum. Once these girls did stat eating normally - they piled on the pounds…

    No hollywood starlet would or does eat “normally” they all have personal trainers, nutritionists who work out how to eat the smallest meals and then get the rest of your nutrients from vitamins etc etc… if they were all that naturally skinny why do they sometimes go through periods of gaining weight????

    My sister is 5′3′’. In our culture, she’s consider tall. But in the American culture, she wears 3 inch heels to mingle with her 5′7′’ friends. Me? I wear 5-6 inch heels. Damn I hope Eva isn’t all natural…she inspires me being so toned and not like bones anorexish
