A Sugababes Post

Over the last few months, I’ve received a few requests for a Sugababes post, so here is one now. The Sugababes - for the people who don’t know - are a UK girl band that has gotten quite popular of the late.
They are currently breaking into the US music scene right now. One thing about the Sugababes - not only are they all very good-looking women, but they are all in fabulous shape. Not a one of them is scary skinny.
I have no clue who they are, but they seem to be good role models. AKA no skanky outfits, and not super-skinny

They look fabulous! they are all in excellent shape and don’t dress skanky to get attention- but they still look hott. I’ve never heard them, but they look great!
I know I might get told I’m an idiot for saying this but I’ve always seen them as kind of chunky especially when Mutya was in the band…

I am living in korea for a year right now (leaving in two months) but I usually live in america. I had never heard of them back home but I hear them constantly over here. so must be pretty succesful

I love their music, its not deep , but its fun . I also find that they do look like good role models, not too thin, proper clothing….I think they should tap into north america maybe some people can get a clue as 2 what “real” girls should look like.
wow, they look fit and hot. i agree that they need to put more thought into their makeup, though — orange blush and pink lipstick? orange lipstick that doesn’t go with the rest of her face? hmm …
i agree their sizes are more indicative of your every-day young woman without being overweight
They look pretty good. If I saw one of them on the street I’d probably think “Wow, she’s got a really cute little body”. Which is exactly what they have. Cute healthy little bodies. It’s nice to see that.
Oh, and I haven’t heard them sing or anything but I’d like to. I agree with some people above me- they seem to be good role models looks-wise. Healthy, and not wearing skanky outfits or posing with their breasts out.

they look good. Not scary skinny and not huge. While I wouldn’t want to look like them, I have to agree that their body type is ideal.
They’re super cute. They look great. They’re not on the US scene t hough.

I love Heidi´s silhoutte… just look at the first pic, her ass is *top* !
They’ve been around for the best part of 10 years now (albeit with some lineup changes). They’ve always looked gorgeous but they have the added bonus of being legitimately talented. Funny how it is that if you don’t have talent, you can just be skinny (girlsaloud, victoria beckham, paris hilton…)
The white girl has a bigger ass than any of the other two. If they break into the american music scene, let’s just say I DEFINITELY agree with Laura W…
Yeah I think it’s refreshing to see musicians with normal bodies which they agree they sometimes dislike. Heidi (the girl in black and red) admits to crying over her ass because she thinks its to big and she says she has problem maintaining her weight. The black girl is so confident about her body its so inspiring, and she regularly kicks out over skinny models.

When they first came out they were like 14 years old and they stayed the same ever since… they grew up and became real women. I adore them, great role models, great personalities and nice bodies…I think that’s the kind of body men prefer- nice booty, curvy but with flat stomach, very feminine….They’ve been around for 8 years and I do not think they will change the way they look just because of standards in American pop industry. That is why they are special, like said before- anyone can get skinny, but talent is what matters the most.

Pretty much most of the British celebs are pear shaped. These girls look toned and fit though.
As a Brit I can say I love the sugababes! Im not a great fan of pop music but their songs are so catchy - and the girls are clearly happy in their skins. Actually Keisha (the black girly) is the only original member!
I want to see them successful in the US as they deserve it but I dont want them to fall prey to the ‘you have to me emaciated with your butt bones showing through to be successful mentality’ like some girl groups *cough girls aloud cough*
On the subject of girls aloud, girl, they were recently in a British magazine describing how they regularly skip meals, go on ridiculas diets and excercise regimes to maintain their size 6 (us 2) frames. Not great role models to young girls, huh? (click the link to go to the website)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but haven’t they been around for years, and don’t they replace memebers kinda like Destiny’s Child or something?
4 years ago my freshman year roommate used to play “round round” and their other equally annoying single on repete in our dorm….which prompted me to prank phone call him at 4:00 am every time I spent the night out of the room.
regardless, the girl on the right in the first pic is in amazing shape…the one in all black would look better in a different outfit, and the one in red it too covered up to tell much

yeah, after they hit the US scene hard they will be dropping weight like crazy. the UK has “lower” standards in the weight category although that is changing somewhat. the competition over there is less than here.
just cause they’re coming to the US doesn’t mean they’ll b brainwashed into deteriorating their bodies! they do have minds of their own!
besides, they look AMAZING as it is - healthy looking and curvy in all the right places! i wanna lick them

I live in Britain where the Sugababes are big and they’re all in good shape, but Heidi (the one in the red coat) looks especially good. Those pictures don’t really do her justice but she is STUNNING, with gorgeous curves and a super flat stomach. You can see from the first picture just how slim her waist is, she looks so good!! I wish I had her toned curves, I really do!

Don’t think these pics do them justice- they are very high profile with us in the UK so we see alot more fotos of the ‘babes.
Keisha in the all black outfit in the middle is a UK 6 which must be a US 2. They are really petite little things.

Karma- getting your legs insured for a million dollars means that while filming her Venus comercial if the razor cuts her she gets the money…its not like its full coverage or anything…models and such have been doing it for quite some time. Also, I totally called it hat Rhiana’s “leggs of a goddess” or whatever was part of some promotional deal
Funny, what you all said about the sugababes changing in America. I wouldn’t be surprised though. I’ve known about them for the past year (I’m an American who looks outside for non cookie-cutter pop). An awesome girl group really, it’s unfortunate they’ve had so many lineup changes. Pretty too.
Yes Lambman. I know exactly what it means. I just find it funny considering the previous post about her legs and how many of us don’t think she has legs of a goddess!!
I doubt keisha’s a UK6 - I’d say at UK10 - and that’s still thin, IMHO.

no way Keisha is a UK 6, she’s got pretty wide hips. I think she might be a UK 6-8 on top and a UK 8-10 on the bottom
Both the blonde and the black girl have been chunkier in the past (especially the blonde) and the girl who is no longer with them (Mutya) had a disgustingly fat belly, but they look alright now.
Just by looking at them, I can tell they can’t sing. Their clothes and make-up just seem desperate.
I don’t think their bodies are any better than the average young female pop star.
But remember, the camera adds 10 lbs…
Think they are really good role models apart from Amelle cos she is totally crazy. Heidi is gorgeous!
