Has Kate Winslet Packed on a Few?

But the dress that Kate wore to a recent Lancôme party looks a bit too tight for comfort. Either she has gained a few pounds or just decided to stuff herself into an unflatteringly tight dress.
Whatever the case, she looks very uncomfortable.
Are you serious?? She doesnt look like she has gained, i was gonna say lost or the same.

I don’t think she’s gained weight. She’s always been curvy, and I think she’s stunning. Good on her for embracing her curves! A real woman she is!!

no way, she hasnt gained! she actually looks slimmer on the arms - i think its the gathered style of the dress and taffata fabric that makes it look like its straining.

Hi, I have a question…a us size 0 -2 is that like small and from what size are you considered big. In South Africa size 6-10 is considered small and from 12 -22 is overwieght…..

she is and always will be classically beautiful, one of the last classic hollywood girls left, in my opinion.
whoever says she’s plain, I dont really understand that. She’s not a ‘modern’ beauty as we seem to have today, but i prefer that. She’s got an open beautiful face with well placed features. But beauty in is in the eye of the beholder i guess.
I think the dress is kinda hideous but her hair and make-up look great and I love the earings. She is such a beautiful girl and other actresses her age begin to look haggard coz they are underweight but she dosen’t look a day over 21.
I think her weight has stayed the same but this was a very bad choice of dress. She normally dresses really well to suit her body type but this one is a no no. It flattens her chest and emphasizes her hips, and it looks like it is too tight.
i think the dress is too tight in all the wrong places… look at her lower stomach. it’s not fat at all. the dress is too small at her hips and too bunched at her waist. she needs a new stylist, or a full length mirror!

I think it’s the dress. It fits like a sausage casing. I don’t see how she can breathe properly in that. Pretty dress. It just needs a good tailor to let it out in a place or two.

The posture is weird and so is the angle, that’s why. But the dress is great and so is Kate - a bit slimmer, I’d say.
Skinny ninni - lol you’ll find that here on this particular site anyone over USA size 2 is called “a fat cow”. I’d say as long as you’re within size 6 or even 8 (UK 10-12) you’re ok. beyond that… well yes, maybe more than a size 8 is really on the chubby side. But that’s my opinion.

I have seen a lot of skinny women who could not look as perfect around the middle as Kate does.
Best of both worlds—curves where they should be, and perfect looking stomach area where there is an epidemic of bulge in most women—even some of the skinny ones.

I don’t think she’s gained weight and the dress isn’t too small for her it’s just that the cut isn’t super flattering and the photog caught her in an uncomfortable moment. She clearly isn’t posing here, just heard the shutters and looked up whilst in the middle of getting her bearings. Even if she had gained weight or was wearing a bad dress, big f*ckin deal lol. She’s more beautiful, talented and accomplished then the sum of all posters here and has a great hubby and child to boot.

I can’t believe people are posting that this woman is fat! This is the way women are supposed to look, especially if they happen to be beautuful as well. Kate is also talented and classy, which is a nice change of pace.
The dress is OK; it’s shiny, so it accentuates the curves some of you are so bothered by. Boobs are a bit squashed, and I don’t understand the white band-aid like things holding the top together… it kind of looks like an emergency fix for a top that was very much too tight (I know it isn’t, but still…). Also I like her better with darker hair.

I would think a strapless dress would need to be slightly tight so it wouldn’t fall off. I know I would want mine to be somewhat tighter so I wouldn’t give the photogs an eyefull.
she’s stunning. And she makes interesting films (minus whatever commercial schlock she was in with Cameron Diaz). She looks perfect to me, although she could gain 100 lbs and still be just as watchable (think De Niro or Marlon Brando). You could never say the same for say, Jessica Alba, or 95% of Hollywood.
i think she looks amazing and as to her having gained a few, I don’t think so. She has a natrually faboulous figure, most people at her weight i believe wouldn’t look so good in clothes. Lucky her !

Kate is one person who truely looks great at this weight. i think her body type is supposed to have some weight on it. she would LOSE all of her beauty if she lost a good deal of weight. i think she is beautiful and a great actress. this dress looks fine on her. if anything, the cut could be revisited but other than that…. i have no complaints about this woman.

skinny ninni…..in the us, we have alot of VANITY sizes. The /gap, Express and almost all designer nams size down their clothes to make sales. If you go to walmart or a cheap store, those sizes are more accurate. They say marilyn monroe was a size 12, but in todays fashion, she would have been more like a 6 or 8. That explains why you see “normal” size women who “claim” to be a size 2 or 4. It’s all crap! I sew alot of clothes and was SHOCKED to find that they use the old size charts and i was a size 10 or 12!!! the US is so messed up!

Kate Winslet is gorgeous, and has the classic pinup girl figure that many men seem to adore, as well as I. She is a marvelous actress, and has beautiful curves. THIS is what women should look like. She is a classic beauty, beautiful figure, great talent…just all around lovely.

I don’t think she has gained weight. The dress may be a little too tight. But I think mostly the photographer caught an unflattering picture and she was in an odd stance that made her look uncomfortable.

I saw her on the set of Revolutionary Road two days ago. she looked a bit heavier than that Lancome picture but still very nice and more beautiful in person!
