Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller Eating Curry to Gain Weight

Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller are reportedly having eating contests on the set of their latest movie (The Edge of Love) to see who has the biggest appetite. Both women have been in the tabloids over the past year in regards to their weight. Sienna had lost weight for a movie role, and Keira spends a lot of her time denying that she has Anorexia.

The two women apparently have bigger appetites than the men on the set and have been seen downing curries and eggs like crazy. (Ew).

A source said: “Both Keira and Sienna have bigger appetites than many of the men on set. Keira was told to beef up for the role and she and Sienna have been having food competitions to see who can eat the most.

“At the moment they are on a curry diet where they can have curries for lunch and dinner, and eggs Benedict for breakfast.”

One has to wonder why they are eating curry to fatten up, of all things. Personally, I can’t stand the smell of the stuff, so I’m glad I’m not on the set with them!

I look forward to seeing photos of Keira Knightley once she has “beefed up”. After all, didn’t she claim to have problems gaining weight? We will have to wait and see…

    ewww!!!

  3. peach | 25/06/07

    first!
    yummmy curry
this is a load of rubbish tho, after what sienna said before

  4. Muffy | 25/06/07

What an obvious boldfaced lie. Dumm.

  5. Karma | 25/06/07

Oh lord. It’s as if they are just making this stuff up to get people off their backs about the eating disorder rumors. I could care less what they eat and to be honest with you I find any sort of “eating contest” to be just plain disgusting and over the top.

  6. charlotte | 25/06/07

curry? Isn’t that like a seasoning? That sounds really weird. I think they’re both so pretty though!

  7. Kittah | 25/06/07

I think they’re just doing that for attention. Showing people how much they can eat and still manage to look thin.

  8. jammie | 25/06/07

YOu can gaurantee the weight and then some more will come off as quickly as it went on.

  9. Leslie | 25/06/07

Curry dishes are made with coconut milk which is loaded with fat.

  10. kritika | 25/06/07

why can,t you people just accept the fact that they are naturally thin people keira or sienna have never been fat

  11. weeee | 25/06/07

Even if you have the fastest metabolisms, downing plates of curry in an eating contest is going to make you gain weight. Let’s see if they actually beef up, or if it’s all BS

  12. kim | 25/06/07

    they’re probably throwing up afterwards

  13. JO | 25/06/07

    Eggs and Curry!
My stomach is churning just thinking about it.
Indian Curry in England is so spicy that it makes you go to the bathroom. ALOT combine that with the morning does off eggs—-YIKES.
So even though they are eating alot, it is laxitave food anyhow so I am sceptical on how they are actually going to gain weight…..silly

  14. MMH | 25/06/07

Kim, you said EXACTLY what I was thinking!! I totally
agree; there’s no way they can eat that much without gaining weight; they’re getting rid of it.

  15. anna | 25/06/07

Rubbish. They eat more than the men on the set, and yet weigh no more than feathers? Somehow these two defy basic science. How cute.
Actually I think Sienna looks pretty good. I love Keira too, but she has really actually been a *little* too thin of late. And coming from me, that means a lot. I rarely think someone is too thin.
An eating contest? Eggs & curry? Seriously gross. But also funny.

  16. Lucie | 25/06/07

    Yeah, right.
They want to gain weight, therefore they eat spicy foods that make your metabolism go faster, and eggs (= mainly proteins).
Without indulging yourself into junk food, there are many foods that would make them gain more weight (fat fish, cheese and bread, pasta, …)

  17. ailsa | 25/06/07

I don’t know if this is true or not, but the whole thing is pretty funny really!

  18. SuperModelSuzie | 25/06/07

That’s a gross combination. Especially if they’re bullimic! Eggs and Curry are bad enough together, but can you just imagine both those things in reverse?

  19. Muffy | 25/06/07

I don’t believe anyone is “naturally” skinny. I hear some people here say this all the time. I think you are what you eat! Yeh, you can pig out now and then and stay slim. But in order to stay slim, you have to eat small amounts. It’s math.

  20. Persephone | 25/06/07

LOL. That’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

  21. An | 25/06/07

I’ve never had curry, but everyone seems to think it’s gross. I’m glad Sienna and Keira are friends though- it doesn’t surprise me in the least bit and i think they’re both adorable girls.

  22. lambman | 25/06/07

they’re not eating eggs and curry together, it says they have eggs benedict for breakfast (yum) and curry for lunch.

Also, FYI pretty much all of England is obsessed with curry, when I was there it seemed there were 2 curry places for every 1 fish’n'chips place.

as much as I dislike Sienna, she’s been really reasonable lately and I respect her sticking up for her friend Kiera

  23. Ellie | 25/06/07

That is so stupid. They are both trying so hard lately to throw out any rumors of an eating disorder. Isn’t it a coincidence that this happens now? It actually grosses me out. Thinking about them trying to get attention with these stupid stories. It’s like the girl that goes to a party and lies about everything she does so she seems “cool” and can be the center of attention. These girls are very skinny, bottom line. If they “eat like pigs” all the time, then regardless of their metabolism, they’re going to gain weight damnit. People need to stop saying “some are just naturally skinny.” You can be naturally skinny. Anyone here naturally skinny? Alright, then eat like a pig every day for a week, and then weigh yourself. You’ll have gained. The human body is not meant to have protruding bones. That is not the way it is built. Everything about our bodies were made to work together. That is the way God made us. Our bones are the correct size for our weight, as well as height. The same thing goes for metabolism. We are supposed to maintain a correct weight for our body types, without protruding bones. You’re not supposed to see a womans chest bones (that’s where the breasts are supposed to be small or not…Keira has NONE), you’re not supposed to see the spine while standing erect, you’re not supposed to see ribs (they should be covered with a thin layer of fat), etc. I have a great metabolism, and I pig out on certain days, but if I did it every day as they claim, then I would gain weight just as every other human being and even animal would. It’s a crock of sh**. The two of them are friends. They came together, came up with this idiotic idea, did it in front of people so it would be reported, and all they do is run to the bathroom afterwards and voila! It’s gone! Yay for idiotic celebrities that obviously have revolting figures, don’t look womanly, and lie to make it seem like they have the fastest metabolism in all the land. If they really did eat more than men (over 2,000 calories a day) at their weight, they’d already show some “beef”.

  24. KallystaDee. | 25/06/07

    Hm…how odd.
And also, curry doesn’t make you gain weight, does it? Isn’t it healthy.
Shouldn’t they be eating like…idk…something else?

  25. Anon | 25/06/07

That’s just obnoxious. Oooh look at me I’m stuffing my face to get fat. Bitches. Great just promote bad eating habits that could lead to health problems. Just cuz your skinny doesn’t mean you’re healthy.

Muffy, we genetically slim gals (Ok, maybe just me), do eat everything - just never over eat. Maintaining is always easier than weight loss. Lossing weight really is hard.

  26. Emi | 25/06/07

This is weird.. I mean a food race? Didn’t those end in like grade school…. who does that? Race to see who can eat the most? like whatttttt

  27. Delilah | 25/06/07

This is so stupid. They are both annoying idiots, thinking they are incredibly ‘fresh’ and ‘edgy’ by telling these stupid stories. Neither of these women is interesting or funny.

  28. Annie | 25/06/07

Ha ha, yeah right. Those two eat more than men?? For some reason, I highly doubt that. And having eating contests to see who consumes more food? Ew.

Okay, so they’re skinny, but that doesn’t mean they should lie and say they’re pretending to eat so much to gain weight!

  29. Muffy | 25/06/07

Agree, Anon. You can eat anything, but not large amounts. And be thin. Again, it’s all numbers. The numbers add up………lots of cals means more weight. As Ellie put it……….I agree completely. If they really were eating many more calories, it would show. It’s a simple equation. They are full of shit on this one.

  30. beautyqueen18 | 25/06/07

Keira has never been anything other than super skinny, and Sienna has always been slim. I have a really fast metabolism too. Once for two months during the summer, I stuffed my face with food. I would eat an entire pie of pizza for lunch by myself. I was shocked when I realized I had gained about 8 lbs! For me that was alot, because I always struggled to put on weight. I actually looked better not so rail thin, so I kept the weight on. I don’t know how fattening curry is, but if they make an effort to actually gain weight, it will show. Even if it is just 5 lbs. If there isn’t any weight gain for them, they are full of it.

  31. b | 25/06/07

that sounds so stupid. curry and eggs? what type of diet is that? why don’t these girls just shut up and gain lbs or whatever without telling these outrageous stupid stories. we’ve all heard these stories b4 but nothing changes, no wieght gain or loss. its all just 4 publicity or 2 prove they dont have eds.

  32. Violet | 25/06/07

Curry is a damn fine food - it actually has euphoric properties similar to many drugs and is said to be addictive. I bloody love it! It can make you put on weight if you’re eating loads of it - I’m sure they just had a big curry night once like lots of us have in Britain and it all got blown out of proportion…

  33. cran | 25/06/07

curries are amazing, but coconut milk has a lot of fat in it, that’s probably why they’re eating it!

  34. jed | 25/06/07

By the rules of hollywood, this is not a bad idea. Publicity and attention translates into money, in most cases. How big a career would Renee Zellweger have without Bridget Jones, which gave her two movies to promote, and a lot of attention both going up in weight, and going back down.

If this catches on, and a lot of attention is paid to these two with before and after pictures and comparisons with each other—look for others to follow suit—it could be a great year for Ben and Jerry’s and the pizza and chicken wing industry.

  35. Mia | 25/06/07

And they have the nerve to wonder why they are only famous for their weight and clothes?

  36. azuka | 25/06/07

CURRY DIET? Are you kidding me? They are so stupids… EAT PASTA AT NIGHT and you will gain so much weight! You idiots! curry diet… give me a break!

  37. narcissiste | 25/06/07

curry. indian food. lots of heavy sauces, rich in butter / oil / coconut. interesting choice.

  38. hailey | 25/06/07

I agree, a total publicity stunt - the “source” is probaby a representative to keep people (us) interested in them. Kierra and Sienna have been photoed out partying quite a bit, so I’m guessing they are not sharing healthy exercise and diet tips. Rian - could you please do a post on Demi Moore? She really looks heavier. Maybe she is pregnant.

  39. Ala | 25/06/07

i DONT BELIEVE THIS CRAP WHATSOEVER

if they really are eating lots im sure they puke it up. She did say she did not have ‘anorexia’..maybe she has bulimia then.

  40. bountyhunter | 26/06/07

This is the most assinine thing I have ever heard of. I hope both of their careers go down the toilet (perhaps, along with the curry).

  41. saintdevil | 26/06/07

While they are both very slim, they don’t look unhealthy - nowhere near Ritchie or Jolie.

Why can’t they just say: Yeah, we love to be thin and we eat less than you becaue we get paid to be skinny and beautiful?

This whole “we eat so much, we don’t have EDs - blabla” is really getting on my nerves.

  42. Jodi | 26/06/07

Not all curry is made with coconut milk.

I love the stuff, with or without it.

As far as these two curry cousins are concerned, I couldn’t care less if I tried. WhatEVER, bitches.

  43. Frankie | 26/06/07

Keira should stay away from those people as an A-list actress

  44. Miss M | 26/06/07

    Yawn.

I couldn’t care less even if they decided they want to be force fed like geese in France. Great way to get the rumour mill starting though for their new film!

And Sienna is just plain stupid, sorry, can’t stand that woman.

Curry diet? Why would you eat the same thing over and over again? There are healthier ways if you want to gain weight.

  45. kay | 26/06/07

I hate to disagree with you all, because I find these “we eat all the time!” speeches obnoxious as well, however, there are some people who can eat pretty much whatever they want and be thin. I am 27, 5′7″ and eat 2500 calories a day, and never weigh more than 115. If I don’t eat like that, I lose too much weight. And I’m not an athlete, I have a desk job. Just as some people have to religiously watch and restrict because they gain easily, others have to eat a lot or they lose easily. Everyone is different, and so are their metabolisms. I don’t necessarily think that that is the case with Sienna and Keira, but I’m just saying, it’s not impossible.

  46. loolabelle | 26/06/07

ok a few things quite a lot of people here dont seem to understand

    1. there is no specific dish called curry, rather the term is used in the uk to describe a variety of indian dishes which are popular over here.
there are lots of different types, some do contain coconut milk, some dont, some are high in fat, and some aren’t.
we are not ‘obcessed’ with curry, england is very multi cultural, and london, where sienna and keira live, is the most multi cultural city in the world
there are lots of different types of food here.

    2. it think those of u bleating on about “oh they’rer so lame pulling these stupid publicity who do they think they are they must be throwing up afterwards” are lacking in more than just a few brain cells.
sienna was probably mentioned this off hand, i seriously doubt they would actually care enough to get together to come up with this, unlike many american celebrities, and english ones too of course, they have REAL CAREERS which depend on their ACTING TALENT not how many headlines they can grab

    3. most people with bullimia are of a normal weight, or overweight

    4. i dont think either of them had eating disorders, or diets obcessively, because they have always stayed the same weight, and neither of them is actually showing any signs of malnourishment (poor hair condition, grey skin, sunken eyes, etc..)

  47. ............. | 26/06/07

it’s not curry people it either daal or sabzee. Curry is a seasoning

  48. Denise | 26/06/07

These girls tell the media anything, but in reality it’s obvious that they eat very little. If you look at old pics of Kiera she looks much fuller than she is now. I think all of the media attention builds pressure and causes these girls to go overboard in wanting to look perfect. Then they end up looking like skeletons. If I had an eating disorder I wouldn’t admit to it either. I’d claim a “fast metabolism” as well!

  49. angelbaby | 26/06/07

for a start they are the skinniest celebs going and they would put on rather A LOT of weight quickly if they ate that every day. ie 5lb in a week and evidently they havent. secondly i dnt even wanna think about what eggs AND curry x 2 would do to their bowels. The poor director lol. Oh and to anyone who said curry is healthy, it is sooooo not!!

  50. Maya | 26/06/07

Maybe this will prove Kiera’s buhu-I-wish-I-was-curvier-but-I-can’t-gain-weight type of statements to be bullshit. We’ll se.

  51. Julie | 27/06/07

Hey, there are hundreds of different curries if not thousands, you just don’t have a clue, and it’s just really tasty food so don’t say you don’t like the smell of IT as if there’s just one curry dish.

  52. Sasha | 27/06/07

    1. Curry can be any variety of ethnic dishes. The British sociocultural coined term has been used without regard to the distinctions. The “curry’ that they are referring to in this article is obviouslyy the non-authentic, fattening, Thai or Indian, slob of vegetables, masala, heavy butter or oil, and some kind of meat.
    2. These bitches are just trying to skew the media and get back at the people that keep pointing out how they are too skinny, which they are. So they pull a reverse psychological ploy out of their arses and pay some random moron to report on their curry escapades.
    3. I’m sure if they are truly eating soo much curry, they are removing it through dubious methods. Or, not eating anything after curry.

  53. Sasha | 27/06/07

Oh, and angelbaby, curry can be healthy. The stuff you get in take-out may not be, but real curry is.

  54. Oren Ishii | 28/06/07

They are DEFINATLY throwing up afterwards

  55. Sacharomyces cerevisiae | 1/07/07

Why oh why do serious, well-bred and talented young actresses resort to ridiculous, lame, infuriating, inaccurate (it is true that there is no “curry” dish-what’s wrong keira are you so traditionally white British upper-class you have never mingled with pakistani in your life, you Bradford sk*nk?) and stupid publicity stunts to keep themselves afloat? cant they just rely on acting? oh wait a minute! we are talking about two moronic idiots-just remembered

  56. Cindy | 2/07/07

I lurve curry. N yes, they can b fattenin’…haha, unless they r vegetable cury or something….but i think vegetarian curry dosen’t taste as nice….

  57. Christina | 2/07/07

Dear Ellie, I have eaten ‘’like a pig'’ for most of my life, and often get told I eat more than my male friends, yet I weigh not much more than a 100 pounds and have gained maybe two punds since I was twelve and I do NOT throw up or anything the people here assume these girls do. it is possible, don’t get your panties in a bunch just because YOU can’t do it.
I get so f*cking upset over people like you that think if a girl is thin and eat a lot then she MUST be throwing it up afterwards. Screw you, fast metabolism can be a true curse at times, but at least I can eat just what I want and not worry about calories and such.

  58. kitschy | 3/07/07

I think Keira looks good, but would look better with a little extra weight. But.. BUT I do feel like there’s a certain amount of discrimination against skinny celebs in Hollywood - to the masses, there is NO WAY they can be naturally skinny. But let’s face it, there has always been that lucky girl in your high school class who DID eat like a porcine incarnate and was still under 100lb, correct?
If that really is her natural shape, it is just as unreasonable for us to expect her to gain weight, as it is for us to tell ScarJo to ‘drop some, hun'’

  59. Ellie | 7/07/07

Christina, I don’t worry about calories. I eat what I want, whenever I want, I just don’t eat like a pig because i’m full. My metabolism is just fine, I am slim, yet I eat pizza, cheeseburgers, french fries, tacos, etc. The fact of the matter is, one with a fast metabolism CAN’T eat as much as a man and eat like a pig without gaining weight. I don’t care how fast your metabolism is. Your body can only burn so many calories per day. When you eat like a man (around 2500 calories a day or more) you are BOUND to gain weight so I don’t give a crap what you say about that. If a slow metabolism only burns maybe a couple hundred calories less than someone with a fast metabolism, the same thing goes for those with a fast metabolism. I have a fast metabolism, and if I were to eat “like a pig” most of the time, I would gain weight regardless of how quick my body burns calories. It’s a stupid claim. Your metabolism is in synch with your bone structure, your organs, etc. NOBODY is meant to have bones sticking out. Your metabolism gives you energy throughout the day by burning calories as fuel. It also supports your organs functioning properly, and maintaining a healthy weight at the same time so that those organs can do their job and keep us alive. When our bodies are too small, we burn LESS calories, so if in fact it were true that she just has a fast metabolism, being at the size she is now, she would gain weight as her metabolism would slow down. This is NOT her natural shape. It’s obvious that she exercises quite a bit from the abs. That’s also a disorder. She’s supposed to be at a healthy weight for her height, and she is NOT. Your metabolism as I said is in synch with the rest of your body so it isn’t possible for her to be this size “naturally”, so in fact…screw you.

why are they whining about being slim? how annoying - stop mentioning it in every interview if you don’ tlike people talking abou tit - either you care or don’t care - if you don’t care, then be slim - if you do care, then gain weight and shut up about how you “can’t seem to gain weight” ugh -it’s really not that difficult to gain weight - eat more calories than you burn off - you don’ t have to stuff yourself with junk food

Most of you are pretty dumb. Not all curry is loaded with coconut milk and oil. There are many healthy varieties of curry and Indian curry in general. And yes, some people really are naturally thin. Just because you are jealous doesn’t mean it’s not true.
