   i think the dress makes her appear WAY larger than she actually is. look at how tiny her legs are! and if you try to see through the dress, you can tell that her hips are narrower than the line of the dress. all that being said, i think she looks great.

    She looks a bit odd to me, I wouldn’t call her pretty or attractive or sexy, she is like Jodi Kidd, another model that looks odd. But hey, whatever the fashion industry wants and obviously they like her a lot.
    I don’t like the red dress to her white skin and her orangey hair, I don’t think she can wear this colour. And what is up with those flip flops? Too casual for my liking to appear on a green carpet event LOL

    I agree, ppl think if you have big boobs then you aren’t thin. The fact is she is really skinny and has implants most likely. Thats not healthy.

    So gorgeous. Lily Cole has that pre-raphaelite, porcelain doll thing going for her. Thin but not dying and she’s been on the cover on Brittish Vogue atleast twice. . .funny that some are already posting that they think she’s “weird looking” they probably prefer the common, sorority girl look of low rent fashion shows like America’s Next Top (Catalog) Model.

    She looks gorgeous and healthy…very sexy body, long thin arms and legs, but still got some curves.

    I like that she didn’t try to starve herself into keeping the same body she had when she was 15 and just started modeling. I remember reading her talking about that, now that she’s a woman and not a teen she has curves and finds them sexy!

    i think she’s gaining weight. she might have been quite thin before b/c she was so young but i think she’s “becoming a woman”. her body type might be one of gaining in the upper body and not in the lower body but she’s still gaining weight.

    She is unusual-looking, but *very* striking. I like her at this slightly higher weight. She looks healthy and slim - not heavy at all. Frankly, I’m jealous.

    She was the skinniest waif-iest looking model a few years ago. Really a knock-out when she was all made-up. It looks like her face has changes as she’s grown up and filled out.

    As to looking “wierd” or ugly as some of you have said… natural red-heads without a ton of make-up look like this. It’s different, especially if you prefer the assembly-line-blonde-tanned-starlet look. Branch out a little. Makes life more interesting.

    she was quoted recently about how she’s been allowed to gain weight as part of the model-weight controversy. She said something like ‘it’s great now, that i can have a chest and not be extra-careful about what i eat”. I think she’s fairly pretty and her hair is cute!

    Suzy: thanks for point that out. It was models like Lily Cole who sparked the ban on models w/low BMI’s.

    I wouldn’t be suprised if she gained some weight to keep working. However this outfit doesn’t really show what her body looks like. It’s clear however her legs are still clearly very tiny.

    If someone wants to be skinny they can be. Its their choice. If someone wants to eat a pie and gain five pounds, it’s their choice. I mean it’s one thing to make a comment.     She’s simply a model, not a supermodel. And not a good one at that.

    Offcourse it’s personal taste on wether or not she’s attractive or not, but for me she simply isn’t good looking. She isn’t even ‘cute’ looking. Her bonestructure is hideous, her measurements are disproportional and her hair (colour aswell as texture) is simply not my taste.

    Once again, just because someone had a few pictures taken doesnt mean she’s a supermodel.

    It really doesn’t matter that some some of you think she is ugly, she is the only that is getting paid for being a SUPER MODEL. She is not too skinny and she is not fat. No, she hasn’t gotten breast implants either. She obviously is top heavy. Her arms are healthy looking. Lily’s legs are a bit skinny, but she carries her weight on top. So she can’t really help that. I think she is one of the healthiest runway models, and hopefully other models will follow her example.

Her eyes look like they are about to get lost in the undefined pudgy shapelessness of her face… I think a beautiful face is one that looks sculpted, her’s is just a plump featureless expanse. Very very very bland. And her body just eeks me out, for some reason. Ick.

    She looks like shes permanently sucking on a lemon.

    She also wasn’t always so “curvy” either, though. For ages she and Gemma Ward had the exact same figure- which looked pretty malnourished in my opinion!

    And now that shes a supermodel and has aquired the calibre of fame that she has, she doesn’t really need to be as stick thin anymore does she?

    ehm… how exactly does she prove this? by her tiny implants I suppose? or by her stick thin legs? or by her shapeless dress which can equally hide an elephant or a bag of bones? She is thin-maybe too thin-dont fool yourselves. But again this is how models should be and not fat cows. and it is ridiculous to fight on her “attractiveness”-granted, her face is weird but this is a plus in fashion-an unforgetable face-as long as it has two eyes that look at the same direction, a cute nose and a mouth without a cleft palate

    Lily Cole is a couture/high fashion type model - to compare her to Alessandra or a Victoria’s Secret model is plain ridiculous.
    She’s gained because she’s going to Cambridge university this year now and no longer needs to be super-skinny for the catwalk, though she’s naturally thin anyway.
    Her doll faced looks and her hair and skin tone make her look very striking on the runway, just as a model should.
    And yes, she is a supermodel. Given that she’s only about 19 or 20 she’s earnt more and been in more catwalk shows than many models do in a lifetime. She did Accessorize adverts here in the UK and she’s starring in a film or two. She’s very successful and those who haven’t heard of her or ask how she can be a model obviously don’t pay any attention to fashion or modelling at all. In which case, they shouldn’t comment on it.

     Look at her legs, she’s still too thin. She just got lucky enough to be curvier than most super models (esp in the chest area) so it kind of helps to hide the fact that she’s so skinny. The fact is, she’s just too skinny.
