This is definitely a good dress for her body shape. It’s nice to see thicker celebs dressing themselves nicely instead of trashily.
The first thing is so annoying. I think people do that because they’re so frightened that if they write out anything longer than “First!” they’ll lose their place as the first post (oh no!). Its very elementary school.
I think Kelly looks good here. I hate how people are always ragging on her about gaining weight and being photoshopped, do you think she ASKED Elle Magazine to photoshop her?

Compared to other recent pictures of her in tummy-baring shirts and figure-hugging jeans, this outfit looks wonderful. I wish she would always dress for her shape!
see, that dress really suits her figure. if only she’d always dress like that. i think her choice in clothing is what makes her look so much bigger than she is. sometimes, no matter how much you weigh…you just can’t pull of certain outfits. i’m 117 pounds but i have a large chest, so i don’t wear tight/low cut tops. if you have a big bum and a small upper body, like kelly does, dresses like those are really flattering.
She looks great when she actually wears clothes that suit her body type!

This dress is gorgeous, and an excellent choice for Kelly, it hides the worst parts of her body and shows off the smallest parts, GOOD CHOICE! The color is nice for her too. Now she needs to work on toning up, if she has a problem with losing weight. Not everyone seems to be able to lose weight, but you can always tone up unless you have a serious injury. Do it, Kelly!

For my taste, it has too much different textures going on - sequins, pleats, lace, etc. The dress is schizophrenic!
Also, I find her too heavy to be healthy. I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I’ve been heavy like Kelly, and it doesn’t feel good.

I think that her Bulimia Stunt was a sad excuse to get more press. Its a real disorder and i doubt she had it.

She’s one of the few female celebs who’s not really skinny — and she’s comfortable with the way she looks, which is totally awesome.
She’s not “slimming out” at all, considering we all saw photos of her from the live earth show last weekend. She is (like a lot of you mentioned) finally dressing to suit her figure. It’s about time!

Weight has nothing to do whether or not if one is “cute”. I’ve seen plenty of skinny ugly women (butterface) and even more overweight cute women.

she looks great! i love the dress…i think the A-line fitted waist type dresses flatter her curvy/pear figure really well. I’m so sick of the criticism about her body. She’s a singer for God’s sake, and a talented one at that. She never tried to be a socialite/fashion-plate/burlesque-dancer/supermodel/etc or anything she’s not, so her body shouldn’t even be an issue. You want to talk big, look at other celebs that are even bigger, and no one’s complaining about them. She’s never even been like a Britney/Lindsay Lohan can’t-really-sing singer, so she doesn’t NEED to be skinny and wear skimpy stuff. All she needs is her amazing voice. I don’t understand why other singers can be fuller figured but she can’t be. Give the girl a break and just let her sing.

Fantasia Barrino is a MUCH better vocalist than her but yet Clarkson is more popular. Why? Because she’s white and Barrino is Black. That’s what I think. Go away Clarkson.
