Jessica Alba Stays in Shape With a Wii Workout

There have been several stories and rumors over the past couple of years about the various ways Jessica Alba supposedly keeps her slim figure. Some people claim that she just doesn’t eat much of anything; some have said that she was/is on a low carb diet.
The latest rumor is that Jessica shuns diets and personal trainers in favor of a Nintendo Wii workout. Unlike most computer and console games, the Wii offers a really good physical workout. For instance, a certain boxing game is said to burn around 560 calories per hour. Also, Nintendo Wii will be coming out with a new game called Wii Fit that will be like having an electronic personal trainer.
Ha. More than likely, this is just another marketing ploy to sell more games and systems. But you never know…

560 calories an hour!! I’ve played that Wii Boxing game… Definitely not 560 an hour. Like 150, unless you’re clenching everything and jumping and squatting for no reason.
Wii Fit looks fun… but again, it’s the honors system with how much you actually move.
I’ve been wondering WHERE all these celebrities are that they can dress like it’s already fall. Because here in New York, the heat is insane.

I mean, she has an elongated upper body, like that of a pretty tall woman - and skinny, shorter legs not in proportion to the rest of her.

I do love her outfit here though! I’m not crazy about the shoes, but they are decent enough with her outfit.

it’s not the wii, she doesn’t look “too thin” in general but she’s not built like that at all. i agree you have to wonder what she’s doing. she told Glamour magazine years back that she had anorexia going through puberty because she was afraid of her new curves. she had curves in into the blue, where are they now?
she also said that she’s has cooked healthy meals for herself since she was a kid because her family tends to be overweight, so she does diet. even with workout and healthy eating she’d be curvier, so she must be even more restrictive to try and look like she does now, like other girls with smaller frames.

There’s no way she’s just naturally like that and doesn’t have to try hard. I work my buns off to stay a size 0/1 and I eat a diet that’s super healthy and full of fruit, veggies, and lean protein and hardly any “cheat foods”. I’m pretty sure she also smokes…a lot of actresses and models do in Hollywood. It keeps their minds off of food.
I think she looks great. I don’t think she’s frighteningly skinny, and if she’s exercising alot that would explain not being able to keep any weight on. I hope she’s not starving herself.

thank you Spectra, that is very well put!! if you want to stay slim you need to watch what you eat and get some physical activity. one quick way to lose some lbs quickly-cut out regular soda and other stuff with high sugar content. Jessica has lost some weight but still looks good!

Just think of how much time and effort she spends planning fat free meals, working out, going to the salon, meetings with stylists etc. . . . alba, just like anyone, gets what she puts it.
Agreed, Shosh. It’s called discipline. She’s not nasty-skinny…and she probably does not eat all that much and she has said that she is addicted to coffee, which probably supresses her appetite. I know when I don’t eat a lot and I work out..I feel better about myself and the way I look. It’s hard work.

Wii is not that good of a workout…Unless you are totally out of shape and waving your arms erratically makes you tired! Anyway, I think Jessica Alba has the perfect body.
FYI Her hair is colored, like someone mentioned she should do. Her hair is naturally a dark brown by the way. She isnt wearing boots they are called ballet flats. And she is not dressed warm but dressed conservatively. Just because shes not in shorts and a tank top like many trashy people like to dress, doesn’t mean shes in a cool climate. Also maybe this picture was taken early in the am when the temp is cooler.
On her body, I love her body here thats what all our husbands want us to be and what we look at in the stores and scream to ourselves I can look that good. Her ass does look big in that picture but its all the camera angle. If you look at her first pic, you can see how small her hips are.

As for Wii workout, it’s fantastic and it works. I am doing it myself and it is so much fun.
And some people are actually naturally thin, even though some people don’t seem to believe this.
Jessica grew up 15 blocks from where I live, and there are alot of girls around here in pomona that are just like here and that skinny without trying hard. It’s genetic. It’s also a California thing. not saying there are not fat people here but alot of the younger people are skinny. Celebrities (as the rest of the nation calls them) don’t sit on their asses all day either. We get heat too most of the year, never a new york winter. So we’re not trapped in doors either gaining weight. lol.

Someone here hit the nail on the head. Wii is on the honors system. If you’re going to do it you have to DO it. You cannot fake your way through it and yes you WILL lose weight and get in shape.
When Wii was first released I dropped 2 sizes doing Wii boxing 30 min a day, so I know it can be done. Why is it so hard for people to believe you can lose weight playing a game…if it involves physical activity?
Dance Dance Revolution helped tons of people lose weight and it’s a game. Come on people..come into the new age. You don’t always have to have a gym membership to get in shape. Sometimes you can do fun things..like play a game.

I think you people are far too critical of her and it’s more than pathetic. She is beautiful. She has a 25″ waist and a 36″ hips, which is far from “skeletal” or a stick. She can act better than a lot of people, and I would pay to see her in a movie over the vast majority of actresses. Smoker or not, dieter or not, Wii player or not, she has class that is presently atypical of female celebrities in her age range, at least she isn’t a coke addict getting arrested every other day. It is more sad to discourage people and degrade them only to mask jealousy or bitterness than to worry about “food all day,” assuming she does. Green doesn’t look good on you no more than those sunglasses look on her.

Great going, Jessica! This article was interesting, but it doesn’t seem very informing. How does playing a game with the Nintendo Wii game system replace and do the same job as excercise? Jessica is very thin and attractive, but how does she do it?

Hypothyroidism perhaps, or subclinical (TSH between 3 and 5)? That would account for the “unusually” warm clothing, and possibly weight fluctuations (it varies between patients apparently). Normal TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) is 1.7, but hypo is not usually treated until its much higher than that. Women are about 5 times more likely than men to develop it (and most autoimmune disorders in general).
I’m a 26 y.o. male with it and Type 1 diabetes (hence the auto-immune propensity), and could feel it at a TSH of 3 (fatigue). When I got to TSH=5.6, my endocrinologist’s nurse said he “might consider treatment”. Most endo’s shoot for a TSH of 2.. That’s when I found another doc.. Cheaper too.
