2007 Teen Skinny Awards

Several celebrities have noticeably lost weight - like Jessica Alba and Fergie, for starters. Some of the celebs just looked really thin. We have to remember that the cameras add like 10 pounds to everyone’s frame, so imagine what they look like in person? Wow.
There were also some exceptions - Hilary Duff, America Ferrera and some others looked either normal/average and/or just healthier than the others.
(Please note: I would have added Jaslene Gonzalez into this post, but I decided that she deserved her own. See below post).
Here is Fergie, Jessica Alba, Avril Lavigne, Audrina Partridge (who looks a lot like Nicky Hilton to me), Emily Deschanel, and Miley Cyrus. All super-thin.

you can really tell jessica albas lost weight.and also in the previews of her new movie shes gotten a little on the bony side. but the dress she is wearing looks a little to big on her.

Audrina looks like thin/slender but not skinny, to me. don’t like her legs and her obvious fake tan
the last too don’t seem that thin to me. yeah slender, but not skinny. maybe it’s because i used to be a die-hard model fan so i’m used to the “real” skinny. i think slender when other people say; fucking skinny.
I don’t think audrina is pretty at all. Maybe it’s in her cheeks.

Jessica Alda has some serious body-image issues…she is always bringing them up in interviews too. She thinks she’s fat…or “curvy” and said once that she thinks she has a big arse. Whatever! She has definitely gotten too thin.
Oh, anf Fergie looks like she has lost too much weight as well. She doesn’t look good at all anymore…what’s up with her face?!
fergie def lost some weight over the summer, but I haven’t seen any pictures of her smiling lately. Something’s wrong with her face/skin. Is she smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day to keep her weight down?
jessica alba’s gotten thinner in the last year and it’s bordering on too thin. I wonder if it’s related to her relationship troubles.
avril’s legs are not skinny enough for her to wear high tops for photogs. she’s should also just admit she’s a pop singer and give up the punk image.
dunno who the next two girls are but pretty dresses and great figures.
miley cyrus is such a doll. i hope she stays grounded so young girls can have a good role model.

Ugh there are certinally some horrible dresses amoung the bunch. All super skinny, but normal is the new fat, right? And skinny is the new normal.
Fergie looks awful at this weight! Once you hit a certain age being too skinny will age your face. Its aged her face by about 10 years.

alba is definitely losing weight…you should post on her gray dress number from the other night…she looks like a holocaust victim. I do think there are times when she looks thinner and times when she doesn’t look THAT thin…she does look like she lost weight…but she looks good thin, IMO. If she lost any MORE weight, tho, she’d look too thin. She’s always perfect looking, tho.
gotta love miley; she’s not even 15 yet! looks kinda awkward in that pose though, and i don’t think she’s restricting anything at all, because through her interviews, “FOOD!!” is definitely the highlight of everything.

i dont think anyone looks too skinny. yes, they are all thin but not too skinny. we live in a country where most people are fat so we see people like them and tend to think they are too thin. but realistically they are all the same size as all of the actresses back in the day (i.e. the hepburns). remember that a size 4 these days is really a size 12 from back in the 70’s. so a size 0-2 isn’t THAT skinny. my mom was saying she was a size 8 when she was younger which would now be considered a 2. she also said at that time models were size 6’s which is a size 0…same as today.

Actually, when someone talks about food as a focal point it can be a sign of an ED. Most people just talk about food in passing. After all, everyone has to eat, but when it’s the center… I say fishy. Those types of people like to make everyone think they eat a lot.

Miley - Ugh, I’m so annoyed I really don’t want to start seeing pic of her all the time, she’s not cute at all…she’s just another no-neck Disney Channel weirdo like Hillar Duff…tons of people will spend millions of dollars promoting her to stupid 12-year-olds until she eventually becomes too skinny and or develops a drug problem. At least this girl has normal, active parents so there is some hope…but really we already have Hillary and Hayden we don’t need another one

Those are horrible pictures of these people. Fergie is fug as always. Jessica looks bad which surprises me. I’ll be glad when Avril stops acting and dressing like she is 13. I saw the awards show for a whole 1 minute during which Jessica Alba was handing out an award and she was wearing that yellow dress and her legs LITERALLY looked like miniature twigs that were about to snap at any moment. I can’t even fathom how thin these girls are in person.
Fergie’s face is revolting. She was never this thing in her Wild Orchid days which makes me wonder just how f’ing hard she works to stay this size.
Avril Lavigne seems to be naturally petite - she’s been this size forever.
AUDRINA has got some BRUTAL BUCK TEETH and has definitely lost weight - you can see it in the shoulders, but she looks hot, minus the dark red/orange fake tan. Love the dress.

I absolutely DESPISE Jessica Alba. She does interviews talking about how “curvy” she is and how she’s proud of her “curves”. Go figure. She’s starting to look like a skeleton in some newer pics. Absolutely disgusting, and she acts likes she’s trying to be a good role model to young people. Bull. Get a life.
Miley is adorable, but her pose is bad. She looks a little awkard, like she isn’t poised on the red carpet yet. Let’s keep in mind that she is only 14 and should look thin at that age.

I’m kinda sick of you always saying that the camera adds 10 pounds…it doesn’t. I have observed that it only makes a noticeable difference in people who are at the heavier end of average weight. When Hilary Duff gains weight, she always looks different in different pics, but when she was super skinny, she looked constant. That’s cos the camera captures the simplicity of a stick-thin figure realistically…and not the more complicated silhouette of a weightier chick. Just saying.
well as far as i can tell Fergie looks by far the worst of the bunch in that she lost too much weight to look as good as she once did. Alba is still thin, nothing new. Audrina looks the same, Avril looks the same…idk who the others are, but they seem alright.

Jessica’s head looks like it could fall off at any second, it’s so damn big.
Fergie swears her face is damaged due to the “sun” but I think it’s more like “too much meth” and a “crapload of plastic surgery” (face lift and nose job). Her body has changed too over the last few years.
Avril looks as dumb as she did when she first came out, and needs to grow up, like Persephone mentioned.
And I’m a fan of Audrina’s body although she always looks stoned and her teeth are blindingly bleached and a big.

I think that Emily Deschanel looks beautiful. I love her, and I can’t wait for Bones to come back. I agree with everyone else, I’m not a J Alba fan, and Fergie’s face is downright scary here.

Miley is so super cute. I’ve never been a fan of her dad’s or the whole country thing, but I love this girl. My 4 year old daughter watches her show every evening and we really enjoy it. I think the strange pose is one part feeling awkward about her breasts in such a low-cut dress and one part “oh, I should make my legs/hips appear as thin as possible”. She’s still working it out. All the best to Miley.
Jessica Alba needs to go back to her natural hair color. Instead of looking like a mysterious “Dark Angel” she looks like an ethnic girl that wants to be an Anglo Saxon. (FYI - this isn’t meant to be mean, it’s just no matter what her weight - she is much prettier with rich dark hair. I hope I haven’t offended anyone.)

I was at the Teen Choice Awards, and I have to say that these girls actually looked healthier in person than they do in these photos. Jessica Alba was definitely very skinny, but I think she carries it well…

I saw Fergie in a Candies ad and thought she was Carmen, and IIRC, Carmen used to do Candies ads too. I also thought for a second Ashlee was Fergie OR Carmen in a Skechers ad a couple of days ago.

Wow, no wonder we all think we are fat!! They are so, so unhealthly skinny! Yes, we don’t their weight or their stats, but we dont know Kelly Clarkson’s either, and most people seem to pick on her. These girls are skeletons, they look like they have lollipop heads!
This is the reason why we think a normal sized girl is too fat, because loads of famous people are too thin, and are making us believe that skinny= beauty. Its a shame.

Lena, I’d have to disagree with you. Absolutely every photo of every person I’ve ever seen (that I know in person and could compare) has looked about 10+ pounds bigger in photos. Even the skinniest of skinny people. I have never, ever seen a photo of someone that made them look the same or thinner (unless it was airbrushed!)
My favorite pick is Avril. She looks very pretty. She has hair extensions, doesn’t she?
My worse pick is Fergie. She looks awful. Does she smoke? Judging by her aged face & skin, she seems to.
Avril shouldn’t even exist anymore. (not in a too thin so she vanishes kinda way but in a music is awful kinda way.)
Also, These women all look normal to me. Not unhealthy at all. Toned. Slender. They are probably within their normal BMI though perhaps at the lower end of it.

She has great legs, but her bones are sticking out in her chest. There is nothing I hate more than a bony chest. God, when I was like 96 lbs, my chest still wasn’t bony like that. Emily Deschanel is so beautiful. She has that classic, Grace Kelly kind of beauty. But she looks too tiny. Another “i’m so hot my collarbone protrudes” chick. Miley looks so awkward here it is almost painful! Her weird pose makes her body look all pyramid shaped. Are her shoulders really that massive?

I watched the awards with my niece who absolutely adores Miley. Miley is too young to be showing that much cleavage. She’s gained weight and it ages her. Sorry, she’s not remotely cute anymore.
Yeah, that Alba comment was embarrassing and obnoxious. In interviews, she pretends to be self-deprecating only to fish for compliments, especially now that she’s lost weight since Dark Angel. Damn annoying that girl is.
Anyway, I find it funny how Fergie is disliked by the majority here, but yet, her music sells well. I don’t find her offensive actually. She’s very down-to-earth and honest about herself in interviews.
I think Miley and Avril’s weight is natural and they both look great. Jessica Alba is a little on the skinny side, but I still think she looks hot. And as for Audrina and Fergie: no amount of weight loss could do anything about those faces.

Avril, Emily and Miley all look pretty normal to me. Don’t forget, Miley is still a kid. So it’s normal for her to be thin. Fergie does look like she lost alot of weight. I’ve always found Ferge extremely unattractive, and my opinion of her hasn’t changed after seeing this photo. Her music’s obnoxious, too, but she always seems pretty gracious in interviews.
