Anyway, Amy seems to have that body we would call skinny fat: she is skinny as all get out, but doesn’t look toned in the least bit.
AND it might be my imagination, but does it look like Amy might have gained a few needed pounds? She is still too skinny, but her stomach and thigh areas look slightly bigger. Maybe she has cut back on some of the chemicals and replaced them with food?

I am disgusted at the horrible comments that have been made thus far. There is a tactful way to criticize. True, this is what drugs and a lack of food and exercise will do for a person. But I actually do think that she could look like the beautiful person that she desires to be. But if she reads crap like what you have written, and is discouraged, then it is your fault. supermodel, amy is no less ’skinny-fat’ than any of the others you mentioned….they have all lost extreme amounts of weight which include muscle.
However, I think the term skinny-fat is harsh, especially when these celebs tend to have normal body fat, just very low muscle mass.

It’s almost impossible not to lose muscle mass if you’re starving yourself - even if you workout or are physically active all you’ll be doing is burning everything off your body - both fat and muscle. The “skinny-fat” thing seems a crazy description of girls as thin as those mentioned above - check out some famine victims and you’ll see distended abdomens and slackened skin, not some taut, gym-honed physique.
I have to agree with alisa - she’s a ruler. Her waist(or lack thereof) reminds me of Lindsay Lohan. I hate the hair…I think she’d look great with a bob. As for weight - I don’t know. I think I like her this way.

I heard somewhere that her weight loss is due to (somewhat) excessive gym-going. That and the drug and alcohol abuse she’s been doing for years.

Being in London as this mess that is her life unraels I can confirm (from the beluge of press, as well as her own dad being quoted as saying so)
a) Amy has cut back on the drugs and the holiday is a detox (unlikely she’s having none, but I’m sure it will be les)
b) Her dad said she has apparently put on a stone (a stone seems over the top, but she has put some weight on so I’d say maybe 7lbs)

RIAN, I don’t think your post was at all mean spirited; I think it was spot-on.
What’s odd is that when Amy was curvy back in the day, her body was nicely proportioned. I think what’s happened here besides the obvious(booze/drugs/ED), is that she’s working out the wrong way: too much cardio/not enough weight training and improper breathing when working your abs can cause this type of body. As I said, I don’t think her lack of a waist is her natural body type as evidence by her former cury body.
On the plus side, Amy’s an amazingly talented woman. I hope she recovers.
Regarding what I said about her working out, it’s been reported that Amy works out seven days a week for 2 to 4 hours, mostly cardio plus walks to and from the gym. From what I understand, people with ED’s tend to way over-do the cardio thing.
