Now, onto the post… Angelina Jolie is still pretty darn scary-skinny.

ewwwwww her elbows look so huge! It makes her look ‘wider’ across her hip area now that she is so thin. Its sad and she has acknowledged that she is too thin, so hopefully she can move forward and put some weight back on.

I think she’s possibly anorexic, and instead of trying to project a healthy image, she’s using the publicity to make herself look like such a good samaritan that she just doesn’t have time to take care of herself. She’s always put herself out there as this really deep, caring, do-gooder, so when people point out her thinness as another result of her being this great person, her desire to be recognized for being good outweighs (pun intended) her desire to be healthy. In the end, I think she’s simply anorexic and loving the attention to boot. Why else would she show off her crazy-thin arms? She could wear something that draws less attention to them. Either way, she needs help, not scores of admirers telling her that her anorexia is a result of her being such a great person that she’s putting everyone else before herself (which I seriously doubt anyway). That won’t inspire her to get healthy. It will only perpetuate her behavior, as she seems to need that good samaritan image, hence, the circus of international adoptions and camera crews on every “goodwill ambassador” project she does. She’s a self-absorbed phony just like most of hollywood, and she’s becoming a caricature. I wish someone would get real.

Veins swell up during pregnancy, bec. your heart’s pumping so much more blood through them.
After pregnancy they don’t shrink up easily.
And if you’re underweight, they show off more.

She is skinny. It’s very sad because she used to be so fit and beautiful in her Lara Croft days. I watched Tomb Raider the other day and she used to be so amazingly sexy and athletic, now she just looks like an old lady. Skinny doesn’t suit her. She looks far better when she’s voluptuous. She has lost her sex appeal.

What is making her have a disorder? If she can’t handle all the stress of her life than maybe she needs to take a break from saving the world and stop thinking about adding to her family. How come nobody ever had to remind Mother Theresa that it is ok to eat even though millions of people are starving everyday? Angie may be on a good samaritan “kick” but only one thing is consistent with her: vanity and attention. She is old enough now to realize this sad fact and is trying hard to change it, but obviously can’t.
The pictures don’t look that much different from the way I remember seeing her on TV. She looks sick. Maybe she will go away now.
I honestly don’t think it’s an ED, I think she is just severely depressed. I’m not a doctor, and I don’t know her, but if I spent as much time in third world countries watching babies die from aids and starvation I would be depressed too. She wants to save the world and can’t. She is making a huge difference, but she just seems overwhelmed to me. Couple that with the fact that her mother died recently, and her brother keeps doing interviews with tabloids about why she’s so skinny, that would be too much for anyone.
It’s extremely sad. She’s such an amazingly beautiful woman. It’s hard to watch her do this to herself.

When I was very underweight, I would never let anyone see my arms or legs b/c of the comments I would get. She knows on some level-yet she comes to a red carpet event in a dress that shows off her thinness. She’s must like the attention.

Please remember that her body in the Tombraider movies was the result of a grueling workout that most mentally stable people would not require of themselves in real life…it’s really not fair to compare her to those days.
That being said, she is clearly battling something, be it an eating disorder or depression. She looks frightening. And remember those photos of her wearing a sweater in 90 degree Chicago heat? She’s displaying classic symptoms of anorexia.

I agree with lambman. Because of her features, she will always be strikingly beautiful. But it is time for her to get help. With her stubborn personality, that will be hard! I will say this, I’ve said it before on Angie posts. When I’ve had a break up or a death of a loved one, I will react by having a hard time eating. I’m thin thin to begin with, and can easily end up looking like this. ( well, wish I could say that I suddenly got Angelina’s face too, but NO!!!! ) I do wonder if her cornering herself in with Brad and all the kids has done something to trap her real self and she doesn’t realize it. She may be in for a rude awakening. I just get the feeling that she’s not being herself, and she’s created a big mess that she can’t get out of. This, along with her mother’s death would definitely create an environment for anorexia, whether she acknowledges it or not.

I think everyone made a bigger deal about Nicole Richie because it was such a drastic change. She went from a tiny bit overweight/ meat on her..to all the sudden skelital gross skinny.
Angelina Jolie has never been overweight at all. Shes always been fit. So Angelina went from fit to skelital. Not as drastic of a change I guess..

Angelina Jolie has one of the most beautiful and stunning faces in the world, however her body has never been much to brag about. She is long limbed and very skinny. She has boobs but no waist or ass. Her face is her trademark not her body now or previous to her weight loss.

A) These are not photoshopped, there are lights shining in several directions and thus that shadow is produced.
B) Lynda, I entirely disagree with you. I think you need to educate yourself a bit more on eating disorders and the media before you make such statements.
C) jp I do agree with you, however. She seems entirely depressed, overwhelmed. She just doesn’t seem happy. A lot has been going on in her life during the past few years and it is simply taking a toll on her, emotionally and physically it would appear. I do hope she gets some help if she needs it.

OK, about all these Photoshop accusations - I got these photos from a well-known celebrity photo site - a place that they do not photoshop pictures. I did NOT photoshop them myself, either - I do NOT have such skills!! The only thing I ever do to photos is crop and resize them, and occasionally brighten them if they are dark.
So please stop with the accusation already, it’s really getting old. Every photo of Angelina that we’ve seen lately, she is scary skinny. It’s common knowledge now!

I agree with some of the other posts. I think Angelina and Brad should be focusing on her health and not on adopting another child. It’s obvious that something is going on with her mental health because she never used to be so thin. I’m all for adopting and big families, but she just had a baby and then shortly after adopted another child, what’s the rush?!

It’s a shame Angelina has gone to this extreme. Bony elbows and a pencil neck aren’t attractive. She has such a beautiful face, but now the weightloss is starting to give her that “pinched” look. It’s especially showing up around the corners of her mouth. Someone order her a pizza FAST!

this is real sad. i think she has a physical problem that she wants to keep secret so she can continue to do what she’s doing. there is no way she is exhausted from taking care of the kids when she has nannies all over the house caring for them along with body guards. she’s doing things like she’s running out of time. i think her illness is being kept a secret so that the media attention will not be focussed on that and also because if she is not well enough to care for those kids they might get taken away from her - like get sent back to their countries. from the looks of that picture - we might soon get news of her demise. if any of us still have a heart she at least deserves our prayers. so do those kids.
brad - you should at least adopt those kids so they’ll have a parent left to care for them should anything happen to their mother.

Look at other website, she does not look like that there. Angles can also change the way a person looks. In this pictures here she looks like a skeleton and scarily so, but look at all the other pictures of the same event on news websites and she does not look that thin. In fact in some recent shots she looks like she has put on the much needed weight.
