Hey Everyone…

Today (Friday) is my 30th birthday! I will not be updating the website today. Instead, I will be doing one or more of the following things to celebrate this momentous (and frightening) occasion: repeatedly bashing my head against a wall; contemplating my next decade of life excitedly and making plans; downing no less than 30 vodka shots; and/or lying comatose in bed with depression. I haven’t yet selected an activity to partake in, but I am quite sure that none of them will involve me getting near a computer. :)

I will be back tomorrow with new posts. In the meantime, make sure to check out these other super-awesome websites for entertainment:

    Oh please. Like you’ll hear me making fun of you for being “old”, when I’m old enough to be your mom — if, that is, I was a rabid ninth-grade slut when I had you. Which I wasn’t. I waited until I was out of high school for that sort of chicanery.

    Make sure that somewhere amidst the blur of head-banging, bed-wallowing, and vodka-vavooming (if not -vomiting, alas!), you take time to indulge in the most mouth-watering, icing-laden cake (full-fat, full-sugar, and YOU get the biggest frosting flower!) within a 100-mile radius of Tulsa. Topped with ice cream. And a big, luscious slice of Olivier Martinez (or whomever you fancy) on top.

I’ve been in my thirties for a few months now, and although saying it still sounds kind of horrible, living it day to day is not that bad. besides, I can share a secret: there is scientific proof that men (only men though, not women) will think a woman is about 6 years younger than her actual age if they wear grapefruit scent. (AND citrus-y perfumes are also reported to have the power to make people get the impression you are slimmer and fitter than you actually are, so…)

    Yey Finally someone who is my age. I love your website, I’m very proud of you.
