Brittany Snow Once Had an Eating Disorder

Here we go again… yet another celebrity is “coming out” about an eating disorder they had while they were a teen…

Brittany Snow, (from Hairspray and John Tucker Must Die), claims that she once thought dieting was her “best friend” and got down to 85 pounds at age 15.

It all started when she began work on the soap opera Guiding Light at age 12. Brittany noticed that most of the actresses on the show were on diets themselves. So she started a diet herself - the “Eat Right For Your Blood Type” diet. She lost about 10 pounds and immediately started receiving compliments.

Soon it became an obsession of sorts. Brittany couldn’t get enough.

“It kind of progressed into this thing where I needed to always be dieting and losing weight and more weight,” she says in the site’s interview series Half of Us, which addresses mental health issues and ways to get help. “It became my life and I didn’t have any friends and this was definitely my best friend and I held on to it really tight.”

At 15, Snow was stepping onto the scale 10 to 15 times a day and weighed only 85 lbs.

Brittany finally decided to get help after she started cutting herself. She admits it was a cry for attention but learned to deal with things after rehab.

OK… this is clearly a publicity stunt. I mean, who cares? It was over 7 years ago!

So who is next to come out of the “teen ED closet”? Anyone want to take a guess?

And for the record, it’s not that I don’t believe all these celebrities about their previous bouts of teen ED’s. After all, I don’t know any one person who isn’t eating disordered in some way or another. But why do they feel the need to come out about it years later? All it does is fuel young girls into wanting to copy or be like their idols, IMHO.

New Scary Skinny Angelina Jolie Pics

OK, now before all the “OMG this was photoshopped!!” rumors begin flying, please note that I got these photos directly from the paparazzi’s website that actually took the pictures. So they are coming directly from the source

Is it my imagination, or does she wear this outfit all the time? Anyway, these photos are from just yesterday (the 26th) at the Lycee French School in NYC. Angelina had just dropped Maddox off at school.

She is definitely still very, very thin.

How Kelly Osbourne Lost 15 Pounds

intouch091907.jpg

The latest In Touch Weekly has an interview with Kelly Osbourne, who has slimmed down for her role in the musical “Chicago”:

She looks a lot healthier now… although I recall there being some controversy over this photo because people claimed it was dramatically retouched and airbrushed.

Kelly claims to have lost about 15 pounds simply by being more aware of what she ate and cutting back on junk food. There is no mention of exercise or major food changes. As a matter of fact, she doesn’t really reveal much about her diet in the interview. (Which makes me wonder if there is something she is doing that she didn’t mention…)

Here is a quick excerpt from the article:

Q:How much weight have you lost so far?
A: Over 15 pounds. I haven’t weighed myself in awhile, but I think I’m around 135 (at 5′3). But to me, it’s not about the number. All these people worry, “Oh, I have to be under 100 pounds,” but everyone has a different shape.

Q: What changes did you make to your diet?
A: Instead of having 10 sodas in a day, I’ll have one. And instead of having potato chips, I’ll have rice cakes. But I’m not one of those people who will deny themselves something they want. If I’m hungry and I want a burger, I’m going to eat it and I don’t care.

Unfortunately, I cannot find any new photos of Kelly to post. The ones here are supposedly from a few short months ago, however. (More below).
