Lily Allen Loses Weight Through Hypnotism

I mentioned recently in a post that Lily Allen has lost some weight, but I didn’t know exactly how much or how she lost it… until now.
Lily has reportedly gone from a UK size 12 to a UK size 8 (which is a size 2 in the USA). According to this article, she lost the weight by attending $300 sessions with a hypnotist. She was encouraged through the sessions to think positively about food and exercise.
The result? Lily now goes to the gym every day, or she feels guilty.
“After the hypnotism, I want to go to the gym every day, otherwise I feel really bad,” said Lily. “I just want to get more toned and healthy.”
As weird as hypnosis sounds, apparently it really works! I bet a lot of people could benefit from it.
Its always a bad sign if you feel bad for not working out. And I thought she didnt want to lose weight? Phoney

She looks bigger than an 8… More like a 10. BUT she looks really good at this weight and i don’t think she should lose any more. I also think it’s great that she’s exercising rather than restricting her food intake drastically which would probably just lead to yo-yoing and disordered eating patterns.

She looks trimmer and tanner. She could be a size tfour though. You can wear a small size and have less than bony limbs.

I hate when celebs lie about their sizes. It just reinforces the unhealthy notion that EVERYONE has to be a size 0 or 2 in order to be considered beautiful.

i was in london in january and their sizes are just 2 up from ours. so if she’s a uk size 8 then she’s a us size 6.

I have so many friends who are this big and everyone I know would never say there fat……a size 6/8 is Not fat….plus you have never seen this girl in person so there really is no acurate way to critique her body…picture are deceiving and most of the time they enhance your flaws and make you look bigger than you actually ARE……when will some of you wise up to that….do you all believe every little thing that is put in front of your face or are most of you that naive and gullible. I think she’s beautiful, but honestly her weight always seems the same to me. She looks exactly the same weight-wise as she did a few months ago, at least in these pictures.
I find it amusing that she was screaming against all the skinny girls in Hollyweird, and then she goes and gets herself hypnotized to lose the weight she’d been crying about putting on in the first place. Now she’s OBSESSED with going to the gym…give me a break. ( arm or leg, your choice…heheheh )

a size 6/8 is what the person makes it. on her its fat because she just looks out of shape and not toned and she also appears to have a shorter smaller frame. but i know some people who are a 8 or 10 and every bit of their bodies are toned and muscular so you couldnt say they’ re fat at all.
then theres always people who are really small like an actual size 0 or 2 and they are what youd all say is skinny fat. there is this girl in one of my classes whose a rail, very tall and no bigger than a 2, always wearing short skirts and whats on her bones is pure flab. like you can actully see celulite dimpples but even though shes tiny so size really doesnt mean much in the big picture.

When I was in London several years ago I seem to recall an 8 UK being a 4 US, a 6 a 2, etc.
But I’ve checked a bunch of websites and they all show that a UK size 8 is really a US size 6. (if you want to check for yourself, just Google UK US size conversion).
So… I guess that could explain why she obviously does not look like a 2… still now sure about a 6. How tall is she, anyway?
I saw her recently in Soho (london)…maybe 2-3 weeks ago, and she was a pretty curvy girl, prob a size 10 )(US)…i find it VERY hard to believe that she is now a size 2 (US)….but if she does tone up and get healthier then good for her! but she needs to stop the smoking! its gross and bad for her health!
Lots of people have said it already but I want to back them up and say that a UK size 8 is a US size 4, not a 2. There is always a gap of four between US and UK sizes (UK 10 = US 6, UK 12 = US 8 etc.) What I find confusing, as a Brit, is the Women’s and Misses sizes you have in the States. What is the difference??!!

very confusing - and you can’t just go on a number on the label because some stores label a size 4 as a 2, etc.

she does look a bit slimmer it has to be said. but her saying she has gone from a UK12 to a UK8 is a joke. An 8 is tiny. A 12 is not very big in the first place though. So I’d say she has gone from a loose 12 top n 14 bottom to a 10 on top and 12 on the bottom.

As a Brit girl, who has spent a few Xmas and NYear hols shopping in NY, let me add my pennies worth ~ a UK 8 is equivalent to a US 4, not a 2. This is the official sizing used by the good old British high-street stores (Topshop et.) and global designers~ Marc Jacobs, Chloe etc. Judging by the pics above the lovely Lily has indeed lost weight but I would say she is now a UK 10, which is equivalent to a US 6, a French 38 and an Italian 40.
