Leonardo DiCaprio Looks Thinner

Written on October 15, 2007 – 7:31 am | by Rian |

Is it my imagination, or does Leonardo DiCaprio look to have lost some weight recently? I seem to remember him being a bit bulkier in the movie The Departed last year.

Perhaps he has slimmed down a bit for his latest movie role…

Ewww. I hope the dark hair and facial growth is for a movie. He “needs” to be blonde.

He does look thinner. I just saw that 2006 movie Blood Diamond last night, and he was definitely a bit heavier then.

He does look less bulked up than in The Departed or Blood Diamond. He’s in Morocco now shooting Body of Lies with Russell Crowe and RIdley Scott. He looks great. Are these recent photos and where were they taken?

What a sexy man, other than his somewhat boyish look. He does look thinner, but not by that much. He looked great in Blood Diamond, at a bit of a heavier (not much) weight. Either way he looks good, and I think he looks better with dark hair rather than blonde hair.

oh, I just love him! is he a father already?

He looks amazing! And he’s such a talented actor. I’m surprised he hasn’t won an Oscar yet!

He’s lost his appeal, to me. He’s seen better days.

love him, he is such a great actor!!

yeah i think he does look a bit thinner.

i used to looove him in the romeo+juliet/titanic days. why can’t he just look like that again?!

  12. By anda on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

    yap..he’s definitely thinner..

  13. By mamalisa on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

yes, he was pudgier in departed and blood diamond

  14. By Jenna on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

I htink he looks more handsome now than he did in Romeo and Juliet - he looked too girlish back then. He was more muscle-bound in the departed and blood diamond but the roles called for him to be tough. I think in this one he plays a journalist or a spy so he doesn’t have to be bulked up with muscles. He wasn’t pudgie in either earlier films,LOL! He looked so sexy. Anyway,I think he’s a fantastic actor.

I really like him. He is like a real person. He must be one of the most humble guys in Hollywood. Weight-wise, he never fluctuates too much.

  16. By bethany on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

    wow, i actually don’t hate him as a brunette…
he’s not as much of a stud as he was in his titanic days but i think he’s still a terrific actor. ‘the departed’ and ‘catch me if you can’ were great stuff.

  17. By lux on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

Much better than before. This makes him look younger and hotter.

  18. By 25beerbelly on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

I don’t like him this thin. He’s much sexier when he’s kinds chunky. I like men with big appetites.

  19. By sky on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

he’s so good looking! i was one of the obsessed 8 year old titanic girls lol when it came out lol so i defintly think he looks better a bit thinner rather than bulkier.

I think he needs to shave his face and to grow his hair

  21. By skinny1 on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

leo always flucuates in weight…..him and toby mcquire (sp?) are known 4 it. i like him a little blonder and at this weight….hes dreamy

  22. By brookelynn on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

He looks so much better thin.

  23. By Mouse on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

I used to see him biking around the neighborhood and at the gym and there was practically no muscle definition in his legs. It was actually kind of repulsive. Hairy, flabby, chubby calves. Eeeeeeew.

That photo is a huge improvement from that, but he’s far from a hunky actor.

  24. By lambman on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

he deffinetly looks thinner to me. He’s OK, never was a huge fan but I don’t hate him or anything.

  25. By lambman on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

Mouse- I kinda thought he was pretty gross in person too, he spoke at my college for the 06 elections. My buddy got to be his on-campus security escort lol. Neither of us were that impressed with her looks or speech

i have never thought this guy is good looking
titanic had a few stars, and he wasn’t one of them its a shame he was then catapulted to fame to my dismay

  27. By Pink Cashmere on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

He’s always been scrawny. Maybe that’s why he never seems to look older- he’s got a teen body.

  28. By FW on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

he looks 30 pounds lighter - and much better - that body and the facial hair makes him looks like a man instead of a big boy - but he still needs to be beat for that horrible accent in Blood Diamond - how insulting to South Africans

  29. By Jen V on Oct 15, 2007 | Reply

Yup, Leo is thinner. He lost weight for a movie role…notice that his hair is dyed black. He lost it for the film ‘Body Of Lies’ which is set to come out in 08. Peace! Leo’s a cutie, by the way.

  37. By georgie on Oct 16, 2007 | Reply

who cares, he’s still fugly and always will be.

  38. By Asuka on Oct 16, 2007 | Reply

He might have lost some weight, but he’ll always have the carbface - a term I borrowed from another gossip blogger ;) — and look a bit out of shape for some reason.

No matter his appearance, I like it that he’s also trying to fight for a worthy cause.

  39. By Miss M on Oct 16, 2007 | Reply

Why he was a sex symbol I will never understand.

  40. By Jenny on Oct 16, 2007 | Reply

I understand he probably lost weight the healthy way with a certified celebrity trainer and all, but having your weight to fluctuate like this in a short couple of years just isn’t good. Key word is always: maintain, how do you maintain your career, perhaps you could maintain your weight the same way.
