The Gemma Ward Photoshopped Picture

… that I got from another blog, was photoshopped. Sorry for the confusion - I had no idea!

It seems as though her arms and legs are a lot thinner than the Photoshopped picture!
Yeah it looks like it was, they just like made her legs lumpy and expanded them. She looks well in the other pictures.
Eh, it doesn’t look like it was THAT photoshopped. There are little things that were changed, like the lumpiness on the sides of her legs and making them look a little wider, but that’s about it. *shrug* I don’t think the first picture is bad anyway.
I was reading on another site Britney listed on her Drivers licence a height and weight of 5′5, 125 pounds.

Much better! She has definately gained weight but she looks healthy and toned in the real pictures.

sometimes I really don’t understand why some women/girls are supermodels. I just dont get the criteria. Personally, I don’t think this girl is that attractive…am I wrong? I just don’t get it!!
Actually, I don’t think she’s toned. She’s wearing 5″ wedges, and her legs don’t show definition. The rest of her body is in a similar condition.
Naturally, she has a small head. She’s not a big-headed model like Christy Brinkley and Cindy Crawford.
Overall, I think she looks okay.

She seems to have short legs for a model. I agree, not a pretty face, but I bet she takes some amazing high fashion photos with those haunting eyes.
Much better body! I figured that the photo-shopped pic was too bad to be real. Gemma looks really really nice and thin! Now that you have all mentioned it, she does have a really tiny head. It just looks strange, it’s freaking me out!
She’s probably Anglo, seeing as how she’s Australian. Of course there’s always a chance that this is not the case,
The controversial picture is hardly a total departure from the real ones. She looks great and her exotic features remain the same. I hope Le Karl will continue on his efforts to book slim, but healthier models.
Can I be really boring and suggest that the truth probably lies sometwhere between the original photos and the ones that were posted today - it’s not exactly unknown for fashion magazines to zhuzh up a mediocre picture!

Interesting suggestion that “she looks like” she wouldn’t have anything interesting to say? What, exactly, makes a person “look” like she has something to say? Is modelling conducive to looking like one has something to say?

I was thinking that her face looks like an alien too!!! It looked better when she was thinner. I think her body looks good though. I was wondering about the photoshopped one. It seemed odd that any designer would let her walk the runway with lumpy legs exposed.
I think she has gained a little in the hips area but not a lot.
Either it was photoshopped or might be becausethe photo was taken up close and it makes everyone look bigger AND if taken from a distance, you do look thinner.
Models are meant to look different and not pretty in an obvious way. Fashion changes all the time.. and what they look for is someone who does not look common/normal but different looking .. strong cheek bones, big eyes, large forehead.. (although for catwalk, they pretty much take on tall girls and pretty/non pretty.. but height is the main things I think!

Still she isn’t as thin as she used to be. But maybe supermodels should all look like this. Healthy, probably a bmi of 18-19.
She looks a tad slimmer in the other pics, but the first one wasn’t terrible. I think she’s weird-looking too, but I think a lot of designers LIKE models that are weird looking. It makes the clothes stand out more or something. I’ve heard that models are supposed to have a “unique” feature or features; they aren’t supposed to be “pretty” like your average person.
DAMMIT that pic made me feel good about my thighs for once.
Gemma could definitely still use some trips to the gym to tighten her body up, but this is much better than the photoshopped picture. That was atrocious. That could not have gone down a catwalk unless the designer was drugged. Being a good model isn’t necessarily about having a spectacular face. If you know how to show off the clothes well, and you are professional, a dream to work with, and are reliable to show up on time ready to work, that counts for almost everything, as well as having a clothes friendly body.
IT WAS NOT PHOTOSHOPPED. style.com did the photoshopping just like they do with almost everything else!

the ones with the racket look just like the top one, except when she’s posing with her hip out, that tens to lengthen and slim the hips.
well pic 1 was clearly altered….but pic 2 looks wrong to me…her head looks so tiny…compare that to pic 4 or the one in my link
She doesn’t look much different in the “un-photoshopped” pics to me.
What i mean, Carnap, is that the expression on her face is so devoid of life or character that it doesn’t appear that she would be capable of saying anything other than “Blee blee bloooooooo! Yay!” Compare this with the Victoria’s Secret models, who at least look like they are thinking “teasing” kinds of thoughts. This one? Vapid as overboiled asparagus. This, of course, is “IMHO”, as those who enjoy chat-style abbreviation say.

I think the first picture def looks photoshopped but not that much. Gemma looks healthy in the other pictures, not lumpy.
It’s nice to see a girl modelling who’s thin, but not emaciated.
I bet she looks better than all of you have ever dreamed to look, she is BEAUITFUL, and she does NOT look FAT, id really love to see how you all look next to her!!
she has gained weight. she doesn’t look fat, by any means, but the problem lies that most major models are “discovered” when they are just young girls (16, 17, 18).if you look at high school girls, most of them are very skinny. it’s just the age. now, gemma is now in her early twenties, so she’s filled out. she’s no longer the gawky teenager that she was when she first arrived on the fashion scene. i think it’s important to look at the fact that she is still getting contracts. major contracts. so, kudos to her for being comfortable with her body and kudos for all the houses that continue to hire her.
I think it’s also the angles they were shot at. I mean, honestly, angles can change everything (I know Tyra Banks is always talking about this, and it’s true!) Regardless, she looks much healthier these days

I was at that chanel show and she did look noticeably bigger. I sat there thinking how refreshing it is to see a girl like her that instead of just bones.
I hope she dosnt fall into the pressure and start dieting.

I just worked with her recently. She is not at all fat. Far from FAT. Although, compared to other scary skinny top model, she has a little “meat” on her bones. But she is one beautiful and gorgeous woman who is both stunning in real life and in photos, too.

I think she gained some weight for a movie role but she still looks very slim (except for in the photoshopped pic).
I also think she looks like an alien but she is quite gorgeous when she smiles.

It could be the angle of the photo. If you take from certain angles you can slimmer/wider.Frontal photo like the 1st mite make some1 look chunkier. If it is photoshopped,its not by much. She does look good in the other photos tho’.Not emaciated like alot of models

I freaked out when I saw the picture photoshopped picture because she is one of my favourite models.
She’s obviously still put on a few pounds, but she looks //toned//, not fat, and can carry her weight if she happens to put on a few extra pounds.
allthough i think the first picture was photoshopped, i’m pretty sure she has gained weight anyway. but i think that’s a good thing. she’s toned and she looks healthier than she did a couple years ago. her arms and legs aren’t too thin. there’s muscle in them. good gemma! i hope that more models would gain weight. weight gain doesn’t mean that they should be fat or something, but healthy, toned and gorgeous.
