How Ricki Lake Stays Thin
October 20th, 2007 by Rian | Filed under Celebrity Weight Loss, Miscellaneous Celebrities, Tabloid Magazines.
Ricki Lake, who has publicly struggled with her weight for years, is now down to a US size 2 or 4, and she is thrilled about it. This week’s OK! Magazine interviews her extensively about her weight loss and diet.
Here are a couple of highlights from the article:
Q: When did you start losing weight?
A: February 2nd. It was a conscious decision to get some attention for my documentary [The Business of Being Born] that got into the Tribeca Film Festival. I weighed 160. I had been staying out of the limelight. I looked at the calendar, I had nine weeks, and I signed up for this food plan and started working out. I wanted to reinvent myself.Q: How heavy have you been?
A: My heaviest weight was 260 pounds [in 1991]. I was a size 24. That’s when I first started losing weight. I lost about 100 pounds. I had gotten down to 135 before, and this time around, I lost more. I’m now a size 2 or 4.
I found it interesting that she doesn’t divulge her current weight, only size…
Anyway, the scanned article can be found here. I’d say it’s definitely worth reading, as the article goes deeper than most celebrity weight interviews.

I love success stories like this. Just goes to show you that anything is possible..
I wonder if she had any plastic surgery after losing so much weight?
I thought she looked great heavier, and she looks great now. Good for her.
its a very touching article
she looks fabulous but she aint no US2 or 4 probably a US6 because with a chest like that and a body that curvaceous no US2/UK6 is built that way
unless its vanity sizing
she looks nice and it´s good to hear she is so happy with it. comfortable with her life.
and she was really determined and doesn´t bother to work out; she even loves it! nice to hear right
…I’ve always really liked her, I’m happy for her success. I have serious doubts about her claim of being a size 2 or 4. I am a true size 6, vanity size 4…and there is no way, just no way her and I are the same size. Even taking into account our different body types, there is no way her chest could fit into that size. Or her bottom.
She looks fabulous and I’ve always thought she looked fabulous. But I wish the media or whomever would stop distorting their weight/size because I think it feeds into eating disorders. They have no real concept of what 135 lbs looks like or a size 8 actually looks like because everyone, or everyone reporting on it, lies.
I guess Riki to be a *very* respectable 8/10. Which is a medium. Which is fine!
She looks fit and healthy, but there’s no way she’s a size 2-4, even in vanity sizes. I agree w/ Breads that she’s probably a 6.
I do like the way that she talked in terms of clothing sizes, rather than weight. But I don’t think that she’s a US 2-4, either, unless she’s a REALLY short girl.
I don’t blame her for not talking weight, just size….I don’t own a scale, because I know muscle weighs more than fat, but if I see a higher number on the scale I’ll go crazy…..i judge by the way my clothes fit…..good enough for me.
Amma,
size can be really decieving…it could be very possible that she fits into a 2 or 4. My best friend weighs somewhere in the 135-140 pund weight and is able to wear sizes 2 and 4 in certain stores.
The article actually states her current weight in the first paragraph as being 123 lbs.
I hate this size debate. Everyone is different and size depends on so many factors; the designer, the way your weight is distributed /body shape.
Take this for an example: Two women. One who is pear shaped and the other who gains weight in her stomach. The pear shaped woman is two inches taller (at 5′6), weighs 5-10 pounds less (at around 133) but wears a size 8 while the other (at 5′4 and 140) wears a size 4. Yup. True story my friends.
And I think when people talk about “sizing” they are referring to pants. In my opinion, it’s the junk in the trunk (or lack there of) that determines pant size.
exactly karma!!
but it is also unfair to refer to someone’s size just by their Hips..the pear shaped girl could be really as slim or even skinnier than the other girl yet ppl still would assume she is bigger than the apple shaped girl..
I get this all the time!
Success story?-i think some of our posters are havin a bit of a laugh
Anybody can lose that much weight provided they were a big fattie to begin with. And dear old Ricki was certainly that! Lay off the Ben & Jerry’s darling , camp at the gym for a few weeks and then you can come back and do your self-congratulatory inverviews.
All together now - Go Ricki, Go Ricki…
ô_O she’s NOT thin!!!
I think it’s nice that she lost so much weight, and still looks nice. I mean look at how wierd Star Jones looks. Rikki doesn’t really look aged or anything. Good for her. It must be true that losing weight through diet and excercise makes you look better in the end.
^^ Huh?? What are you talking about? The point is that she made a complete lifestyle change - something not all overweight people make the effort to do. Yes, it’s about habits but it takes a lot of hard work to go from a size 24 to a 4. She just decided to actually get off her ass and DO something about it. Why doesn’t that deserve praise?
i dont believe that shes a size 2 and probably not a size four, if a veryy tight one.
the size 2’s and 4’s that MOST stores carry are not going to fit her.
im not saying shes fat but im am saying…shes lying or shopping at some deceiving stores.
ohh &&..who is she?
lol
_bea♥
x33
Good for her!! I agree with everyone though, it’s no way that she’s a size 2/4 more like a 6/8
Size 2 or 4??? Uh…..no. 6 or 8, more likely an 8.
Although she does look great, there is no way she is a size 2/4. It does not matter what her shape is, she just couldn’t fit in a 4. She looks like a 6 or an 8.
the article said she was 123.
They must make sizes insanely today. I heard that today’s size 4 is yesterday’s size10- this must be true. I still can’t believe how I can weigh around 120 at 5′7 and usually waear a size 8 (and I don’t look disproportionately freaky) but everyone else in the world (obvious exaggeration, I know) claims to be shorter and heavier yet a size 2. It must be because I buy all my clothes at thrift stores..? I guess if I want to boost my self-esteem, the key is not to lose weight, but to start shopping at some of the obnoxiously overpriced store that offer little other reason for people to shop with them. Ha!
Bleh, I’m with you. People claim they are smaller than they really are, and what gets me is that they obviously do not know that we can see that they aren’t that size! and it does all depend on the body shape. I’m bigger on top and wear a 6 in pants but a 10 in shirts. So I do not claim to be a “size 6″.
girl clothes sizes are insane
i had a girlfriend who owned pants that were size 4 that were too big and had size 8 pants that were too small??
glad to be a guy when it comes to clothes ; )
I hope to be fit and healthy too ~
Size 2/4 my arse!! (well, actually my arse is not that small lol)
She is too curvy to be that small. Not fat, but curvy. Try cramming curves into a size 2 or 4.
She looks good.
She is very short (I believe like 5 feet or 5′1″?) so it’s possible she’s a vanity size 2-4 if she’s 123 lbs. Sizes are HUGE nowadays!
And to “bleh”, you are right when you think vintage sizing is much smaller than it is today (at least 4 sizes smaller!) Today, I’m a size 0 but I have a vintage cocktail dress that’s smaller than any size 0 thing I own and the size on THAT tag is MUCH larger than 0!
She is likely a size 4. She is 125 lbs and only 5′2″ very petite.
I love Rikki, she is so funny!
It says in the article that she weighs 123 lbs.
The cover is very desperate. Lonely, looking for a man? Gross… She doesn’t look like a 2/4 unless it’s major vanity sizing.
At first I thought she couldn’t be a size 2 or 4 either, but since the person two above me said she’s only five foot two, that’s believable then.
The weight debate is VERY annoying…I don’t believe 1/2 of what I read. I am 5′6″ and HONESTLY I weigh 130 & wear a loose size 4…a 2 looks tight & weird. I look slim but not skinny….I am also a mother of 2 toddlers.
I don’t believe anyone else that says they weigh differently.
Oh, I meant celebs quoting their sizes & weight…not people on this site.
Even taking into account that she’s possibly 5′2″, I’m sorry but I’m not seeing a size 2 or 4 here.
Ooooh i dont get it, shes not thin :S But I’ll admit I loved abit of The Rickki Lake Show a few years back, aah memories …
I swear Ricki Lake once said on Jay Leno that she lost the initial 100 pounds through a starvation diet. I haven’t heard her say that anymore though. Maybe she got in trouble? Anyway, I would love if you could maybe find some source of that, please.
I wonder if she has a lot of sagging skin. Even if she had surgery to remove it, it can’t totally go away.
She looks utterly fabulous - Fabulous and Forty (nearly) - I’m impressed! If I look that good in 10 years I’ll say, ‘I don’t care what size you all think I am, I AM HOT!!!’
However (!) having said that, I reckon she could be a UK8/US4 - if she’s only 5′2″, that’s easily possible. But she lost 37 pounds in 8 weeks!!! How the hell? That’s what, nearly 5lbs a week, still I guess that’s the personal trainer effect…
bleh,
It all depends on what your weight is made up of. If you are 5′2 and 120 pounds but muscular, you can easily be a size 2. If you are 5′2 120 pounds but not athletic, and instead rather soft, well that is bigger than a 2. I’m also 5′7, 115-120 and a size 2. I do a lot of weight training, and thus have a very low body fat, and therefore wear a smaller size. Muscle weighs more than fat, so a muscular person at the same weight as a soft person takes up less space.
She looks amazing!
Though I’ve never liked her show.
she looks GREAT, but theres no way shes a 2/4. she’s not overweight by any stretch of imagination, but she’s not a 2 sorry to say
melissa- it’s so interesting to read that because i’m 5′6.5″, weigh 136, and i wear an 8. i guess i’m just bigger-boned, literally lol
i love that some 1 said a uk 8 - 10 was medium!!!
i think an 8 is small!!
am i alone ????
crazy world
She could be a size 2 4 where she shops who knows. It’s really not even vanity sizing anymore because all stores do it. Every time I go shopping I am a different size at all the chain stores thats why I try to buy brands that go by waist size. I have started to think that when they are making their clothes they are just throwing it together because sizing is so vastly different from pant to pant even in the same store. Guys are so lucky when it come to clothes sizing. Getting back to Ricki I really admire her. She was obese and she lost the weight. Most of the time people either get bypass or stay obese till they die. How often do they loose it themselves? Didn’t she have a baby a few years back also?
Newsflash, people: small and curvy are not mutually exclusive terms. She’s 5′2″, right? She definitely looks like a 4 to me. I’m 5′2″, a size zero at most places, and am a smaller version of what I see in her pictures.
The smallest dress sizes aren’t only for straight-up-and-down Nicole Richie shapes!
this is all a little ridic - she does say her weight in the beginning of the article is 123 lbs. I’d believe it - she may be curvy but she is also very petite and working out. One of my girlfriends is 5′ and when her weight goes up or down 5-10 lbs it is a HUGE difference for her, and even though she has boobs and butt, which look great, she’s still typically between a 2 and 4. She isn’t ever emaciated, she’d be the negative zero olsen twin size for that, but she is small and proportional. I think without someone else in the photo to add a scale, it is hard to tell how tiny Ricki is!
“am 5′6″ and HONESTLY I weigh 130 & wear a loose size 4…a 2 looks tight & weird. ”
this goes to show how different body shape can be- I am 5′6 and 130, and I wear an 8! I have pretty wide hips, though.
I love Ricki Lake. I used to watch her show all the time! She IS really short, BTW…maybe 5′2″ or possibly 5′3″? I think she probably is a size 4 or so…probably not a 2, but definitely not an 8. I’m built a lot like her and when I weighed 120, I was a size 2-4, depending on the store. So she could be telling the truth. I think she looks fantastic, BTW. She definitely deserves credit for doing it herself the hard way, especially overcoming all the emotional issues that she had to deal with (the molestation, etc.). She’s also dead right about one thing: all diets work, you just have to be consistent. Once you learn what to give your body, it’s easy to lose weight.
I remember her back in the day when she was severely overweight. She really looks the best I have ever seen her look. Good for you Ricki!!
She’s not a size 2/4! If she is then I must be size 0!
But good on her for losing all that weight.
She can definitely be a size 4. I am 5′4″ and when I weighed 123 I wore a size 4 (sometimes a size 2) and and yes I’m curvy. When I went shopping salespeople all assumed I was a 6 by looking at me but the 6’s literally hung off me when I tried them on and were much too big. I did not shop in very expensive or very cheap stores. Most of my clothes were bought at Macys, The Gap, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, etc. I have found that sometimes grown women tend to still buy clothes in junior sizes (3, 5, 7, etc.) which is an entirely different story and would explain why a larger size would be needed. lol
julia remeber alot of people on this site are american and they might not all know a uk8 is us4
us8 = uk12
i agree… she is a liar and that promotes unhealthy examples to other people!!!!!
this actually makes me REALLY, REALLY PISSED OFF!!
I am a size 2 BARELY and I’m 5′9 115 lbs and by my BMI am EXTREMELY underweight.
And she is much bigger than me. It just isn’t possible…
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I don’t believe the size 2 or 4 either. Still, she looks great.
Men’s clothes have wierd sizes too, like I fit into a American Eagle jean with a 30′ waist, and then in Seven jeans I’m a 34′ waist, it’s wierd because they fit the same way too. Doesn’t really make sense.
You cannot tell someone’s size by looking at a picture, you simply can’t. I work in celebrity fashion and some of these women (take Hayden Panettier) are downright miniatures in person. She looks curvy, right? In person, she is a little figurine. I mean, freakin’ tiny. I’ve never seen Rikki in person but have heard she’s petite in frame. Frame size has a lot to do with sizing, too. Take my friend Spencer. She’s 5-10, lanky, gorgeous model-type build, she LOOKS skinny but wears like an 8 or a 10 because her frame, shoulders are broader. I’m 5′7, 125 and have a tiny frame but a big tush and thick legs and arms, I LOOK thicker and rounder than her (we’ve examined photos ) but I wear a size 4 (once in awhile a 2 or 6) b/c my build itself is small. Make sense? My guess–Rikki if her weight is true at 123 and she is indeed under 5′4 and smallish framed could totally wear a 2 or 4.
I was thinking the same thing, that I’m not sure I can believe she’s a size 2 .. maybe on the size 4. Sizing does vary though, and it is awesome that she lost all that weight.
If Ricki is a size two then Britney Spears must be a size minus five (comparing the two pics above). C’mon that’s ridiculous. Britney isn’t skinny. I think Ricki is in denial. She looks great but no way a size 2 or 4.
Clothing size doesn’t even mean anything anymore. Every store is different. I am 5′3 and 130 and I will be a 4 in one store and an 8 in the next.
And no matter what she looks great… who cares what size she is!
lost a LOT of weight. wow.
I admire that Ricki has been able to shed so much weight. Good for her. But the whole ‘lying about your size’ thing is so irritating that I want to pull my hair out.
What we need is ONE sizing system. A size 2 has these bust/waist/measurements, a size 4 has these ones, etc etc etc and ALL SHOPS must stick to those guidelines. Vanity sizing has got to stop. People are getting fatter, but their clothes size is shrinking. I’m naturally thin and I can’t find clothes that fit. It sucks.
i meant bust/waist/ hip measurements **
.
Melissa and I could be twins. I’m about 5′6-5′7, 130 lbs, a mom of 2 toddlers, and slim not skinny. I like wearing size 4 because they are roomy, although I could fit a size 2, with a little muffin top over the waist. I have small hips, but not small in waist.
Anyhoo, I believe that Ricki Lake could be a size 2-4 with vanity sizing. I used to be a size 8 circa 1990, but am now a 2-4 without really losing much weight! maybe 4 lbs at most.
I just looked her up on google.com and found an article claiming she’s 5′4″. And in agreement with so mahy others, she looks heavier than a 2/4 in my opinion.
Someone needs a new pair of glasses O,o
i find it very silly that a 39 year old woman is described as ’single girl’.
I could believe that she is a size 4 considering she is very short. Being short prob makes up look curvier in comparison to a taller person who wears the same size, expecially in photos.
i totally dont get these American dress sizes.
Sizing can differ extremely between body types. I’m 5″11 and about 140 pounds and I wear everything from size 4 to 10 (EUR 34 to 42).
I wish everyone would just give their measurements instead of claiming to wear a certain dress size.
Anyway I saw a post on Flickr where someone photographed about 50 people with different bodyshapes and weights and listed their BMI’s: the differences are unbelievable…
well congratulations on her current success but she’s an oprah type who goes up and down a lot - it bothers me that she’s giving advice because i don’t think she’s got it all together yet - it also bothers me that you never see her in the press unless she’s just had another major weight loss - isn’t there anything else she does that is worthy of being in a magazine?
I’m 5′’2 and 106. I wear a size 2…sometimes a 1, or even a 0 depending on the store. I think it depends what stores you shop in. In the Gap, I can fit into a 2 but need a 4 for around the butt. In Ann Taylor, I’m more like a size 1. I do agree with many people here that she can’t possibly be a 2 or a 4… look are her arm s and shoulders. But I have to say she looks great!
Clothing sizes are weird now - evidence of that: I “inherited” a 1960’s sewing machine from my Grandma, and it came with a huge book of instructions and tips. There is a section on body measurements / clothing sizes, and I was surprised to see how different they were from today… like today’s US 6 would actually be like a US 14 then. It was an eye-opener for sure!!!
to ‘C’..
us size 0 = uk size 4 = australian size 6
us size 2 = uk size 6= australian size 8
us size 4 = uk size 8= australian size 10
and so on..
Did anyone notice that Ricki’s “easy diet” is only 1200 calories a day? So she is maintaining, but eats only 1200 calories? She probably has destroyed her metaboilsm.
Size no longer matters anymore. I think the most important thing is weight and BMI…you really can’t label someone as being fat if they are a size 8 or 10, for all you know, they could be real toned and in the best shape, fact of the matter is, their body is built in a way that’s meant to be a little thicker.
LOL- She is NOT 5′4″, even tho that is what is says on a bio. those stats are almost always exaggerated. It’s common for actresses/dancers/singers to do this. Rikki is between 5″ - 5′1″.
Great for her for losing weight.
I doubt she is a size 2 either or a four. She looks great, but if she is those sizes, she’s wearing the brands that have “vanity” sizes, which is a fancy word for fake sizes!!!
Do any of you guys know if the sizes in canada (quebec) are the same as in the US ? Anyway, it is true that it doesn’t matter. The clothes sizes nor the weight matter when taken alone, it all depends on how you’re builted.
I am from Iceland and do not understand anything you’ve all said.
jaimie- eek i’d be a 6 in the UK and an 8 in australia! and me only 5′ tall… :dies:
this is y vanity sizing exists…for self conscious ppl like me..^_^
good for her
I think “thin” should not be used in a case like ricki lake. sure, she’s lost, but she’s not someone i’d call “thin”. she’s still short and sturdy IMO.
I like Ricki Lake but there is no way that she is a size 2 or 4. I don’t care how tall she is. Look at the picture, her chest area is wide. She’s at least a 6 or 8. I couldn’t believe it when I read that. I’m happy to see I’m not the only one that thinks that. I can’t stand when celebrities lie about their size.
I believe that bodys can be different defferent, so someone heavier can wear clothes smaller than someone thinner…but still - Ricky can’t be size 2, no way. Cos size 6 is european 36/S, so 4 is 34/XS (that’s quite small, esp. pants) and 2 would be 32/XXS - and that is too small even for my friend who is about 4.9 and 95 pounds.
Rian…I’m itching for a new post!! You must have had a busy weekend
Good for Ricki! I think she looks great and has obviously worked hard to get to this point. She is not a tall woman (I think she she has said she is 5′4′’), so weight loss/clothing size always looks different on a shorter woman than it does on somone taller.
It sounds like she’s had some really troubled times in her past, yet has been able to overcome them. I hope she can maintain her new look in a healthy manner. I found this an inspiring story.
According to the internet - which we know has never told a lie - Ricki is 5′3.5″ or 5′4″ - at 123lbs she could definitely be a size 4.
First, to Angela from October 20th, 2007 at 6:51 pm , 5,9 and 115 pounds, geezzz go eat something, you are suppose to be at least 145 pounds for your eight…my god you might look reallllllyyyyyy scary skinny, go eat fast…
and about size, can somebody would tell me if the Canadian size are different than US….people are giving UK and Australian but not specifying about Canadian sizes, i mean US size versus Canadian sizes…
thank you!
have a nice day!
Josie- you could always do a Google search and find out for yourself. Just a thought..
She looks like an average woman (US size 8-10) to me. Am I wrong? She looks good at this weight though. I’d say with heels she’s 5foot4 inches but without she’s only 5foot 1inch.
Hey Mmle J, when was the Flickr post?
I’m sorry…no matter how short she is, she’s no 2 or 4.
She looks much better thin! I love her!
Iknowthetruth, what is your point? I am not a celebrity and I have never once called anyone ugly. So nobody has the right to judge my looks. (I don’t care if you want to judge my weight). So… I ask… what is your point?
P.S. That photo is about 4 years old. I have a different hair color now.
People are stupidly being so adamant that she cannot be a size 4 and they are so wrong. Definitely not taking into consideration different body frames and probably buying their clothes in the cheapest discount stores around. Cheap clothes always run much smaller and I am sure she is not buying at discount stores. As much as some are saying she cannot possibly be a size 4 I am saying that I am proof because I am 5′4″, once was a 123 lbs and yes a size 2-4 in clothes bought at popular brand American stores. GET REAL and take all factors into consideration, including others’ honest statements and testaments and stop being so ignorant and judgmental when you truly do not know any better!
Ten years ago - when I WAS 5′4 and about 123 or so - I wore a size 5. That was BEFORE vanity sizing, however. Now if I was down to 123, I’d probably be a 2 or even a 1.
Therefore, I totally believe Ricki can fit into a 2. I bet several 4’s actually are too big for her! Shoot, at 135 pounds and 5′5 last summer (yes, I grew another inch in my 20’s), I fit into some Wal-Mart 4’s!
*shiverpuke* is all I have to say when I see these two.
Post a picture of yourself “Iknowthetruth” or Is it easier just to look at Rian’s picture and say things to build up your self esteem? Get a fucking life you pathetic loser. Rian keep up the good work!
I didn’t read all the replies (laziness) but is it just me or does it look like she has only one leg on the cover of that mag?
yep! I agree with you all who’ve said she isn’t a size2/4. NO WAY! Is she really short? Even then she’s at least a 6, if not an 8. Pl-eaze. It would be nice if people would be HONEST about their size/weight, then the rest of us wouldn’t feel so bad about not being a size 2.
Wow she looks awesome…this story is so inspiring for everyone. If she can do that then anyone can do it.
i used to love her show!!!!! from 235lbs to what??!!!! 135!!!! is truly an ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR ANYONE!!!!I am truly amazed and happy for her
It’s great that she’s lost weight. She looks healthy and wonderful, but she’s NOT a size 2 or 4. She’s 5′4″, 123 pounds AND curvy(meaning with boobs and hips) I’m a size 2 or 4 and I’m 5′3″, 108 pounds and very curveless! I find it hard to believe she can be 15 pounds heavier, much curvier and still wear the same size. I would guess her to be closer to a size 8. That’s the size I wore when I weighed about that much.
I’m 5′4 and my weight ranges from 117-123. I’m a 2/4–so it’s weird that someone shorter would be a 2/4 unless she shops a lot at gap, banana republic and victorias secret. Her frame looks larger. She could possibly have a smaller waist if she worked out a lot, but I just don’t see it.
Does it rather matter what size she is. The fact of the matter is that she did something good for herself and her well-being by losing the weight and she looks terrific whether she is a 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10. There are better things in this world to debate about.
I agree that she doesn’t look like a 2 or 4 but really, who cares? Congratulations, Ricki on your successful weight loss and newfound self-esteem and self-confidence in obtaining your goal. I’m 5′5″ (5′4″ according to my doctor LOL). I’m 135 and wear a size 4 very comfortably. It depends on your body shape and dimensions. But again, who cares what size she is. Girlfriend looks good especially after having 2 kids.
Oh, and Star Jones looks different with her weight loss because she lost the weight really fast with surgery versus slowly over a period of time…plus she’s several years older than Ricki and her body more than likely doesn’t have as much elasticity.
No way is she a 2/4!! I agree, maybe a 6 or 8. Look at her arm in the photo cover…..a 2 is downright anorexic. She looks healthy and happy. That’s the important thing. Also the comparison made between Star Jones and Ricki is very unfair. Star is 6 years older, which I also have a hard time believing…I think she is much older. BUT, having said that….I don’t think star works out,and relied on surgery to make her thin. She in fact, looks like a shrivled up old woman!! Hooray for Ricki….YOU GO GIRL!!
I’ve noticed that the more pricey the store the smaller size I can wear. Ricky probably shops in pricey stores therefore a pricey 2 is a Kohls or J C Penney size 6 or 8. Either way that’’s a great accomplishment for her and she looks great.
Ricki Lake is 5ft 4, which means she could possibly be a size 4 (or 2 with vanity sizing)!
You people crack me up,the fact that she wears a size 2-4 is unbelievable. It depends on her build I guess but I cannot just assume she is not the size she says she is.
To Bleh, if you are actually 5′7′’ and 120, you should not be wearing a size 8 and if you are it must be hella loose! Another woman your size roughly stated she is a size 2 which is not hard to believe. I weigh much more than you and I’m a 6. If I was 120, I’d be a 0-2. So, get re-sized a decent shop ASAP…!!
Um, in case you missed it shorter people can generally wear smaller sizes.
btw, I am a bit taller but still the point is weight is not always a factor in one’s size. A size is generally determined by actual measurements. If your measurements are off, then that can probably explain it. Like if your waist is close to your hip measurement you might be a bigger size even if you weigh less. Weight is not the best criteria to determine size. Body fat and BMI along with measurements can help determine your size and how good your health is, not always weight folks unless you do not fall in the appropriate range altogether. In Bleh’s case you do fall into the lighter side of the healthy weight for your height…hmm an 8 though, 8 is loose on me so its comical that you wear one weighing so much less than me.
I’d prefer reading in my native language, because my knowledge of your languange is no so well.
