Is Sarah Michelle Gellar Getting Too Thin?

After seeing these photos from the Southland Tales Movie Premiere, I agree that it looks like she has lost weight. However, she doesn’t look scary-skinny to me - YET. Obviously if she loses any more weight, she will get there.
Do you all remember that back in some of her much older movies and shows, Sarah was always super-thin?
As a matter of fact, I recall her saying in a magazine interview back in her “Buffy” days that she maintained a weight of about 98 pounds. (Unfortunately I cannot remember which magazine or interview, just the comment).

I just think that dress is terrible. It has an awful fit around the chest area.

i think she looks about as skinny as nicole richie was.

The darn dress makes her look pregnant. I’ll agree though, her face looks awfully thin. She looks pretty scary thin in that third pic.
She has gotten too skinny. She looks like that skeletal celebrity stylist, Rachel Zoe. It’s such a shame how lots of ladies give in to that skinny look. What do they think that they look chic or hot? They don’t.

Same size as ever, but she’s getting older so it shows more in her face. Losing collagen, and all that.

Well, I was going to say “no” until I saw picture #3. Keep in mind the camera adds weight, so imagine how she looks in person. Maybe too thin…
SMG is my favorite from her days as Buffy Summers. I don’t care what any of you say about her, I think she looks great and you’re all just jealous!
Actually in her early Buffy days she was very much filled out…not portly just curvy (even in “I Know What you Did…”) but as time went on…she lost more of her curves…funny that J.Lo Hewitt has gotten bigger as SMG has shrunk
The dress is NOT good but from what I can tell about her body (despite the dress), she looks great.
i think she looks great shes always been quite thin and i actually think the dress is nice and looks great on her…leave the poor women alone!

She was the PERFECT size in the first season of Buffy. She had gorgeous curves. But then she got too thin. Maybe shes stayed really thin ever since then? She needs to let herself gain some weight.
If you’re a Buffy fan then you’d love her. I saw her on a talk show acouple times and her personality is quite similar to her Buffy character

She still looks good but i think the dress choice could of been alot better! She’s been skinny for quite a long time now, in the last seasons of buffy she was really thin and actually in the begining of buffy and her earlier films she was curvier.

Umm, skinnyness is really aging her! Her mug is looking a bit haggard. And does anyone remember how perfect her body was when she first started Buffy? She had a beautiful shape. Then she lost tons of weight and it seems like she has kept the weight off, and possible have lost even more!
The dress made her look flat-chested and her butt look big…

You have got to be kidding me! She looks great! Perfect! That is how you are supposed to look. Please don’t be jealous of perfection. As a woman I love her look. I admire someone who beautifully skinny. We are not supposed to have as much fat on us as most American women have bc we can’t out down the doughnuts and pick up an apple. Don’t hate!
I never followed her career — what career anyway? I only heard she was in Buffy, a show which I never watched — but I’ve always thought she looked very thin, so it’s not like she shrunk overnight.
Maybe she lost a couple of pounds, I can’t say for sure when she’s wrapped on some sort of taffeta curtain and wearing what appears to be a 7 inches shoe.
Oh and I forgot to mention that flat chested is beautiful too. Skinny and flat chested is brautiful! If you are big busted it makes you look fat no matter how skinny your waist it. Flat chested allows you to wear any fashion without looking like a fat skank!
No one can tell since this dress is like a shower curtain. No boobs for sure but her legs do not look alarmingly thin
Kinda of like thandie, she’s frail looking. As buffy she had muscle tone and looked healthy while being thin.

I think she looks absolutely gorgeous. I would kill to have her body! She is little teeny tiny and has a beautiful face. I’ve read in several articles she’s a bitch, but the best of us are:)

I think she’s always been pretty thin too; she looks to be at a good weight.
I think the dress she’s wearing is supposed to be a skirt though, which would explain why it’s so tight on her chest. Dresses are usually made to EMPHASIZE these parts of women, not squash them to a pulp.

I think she looks lovely.. some people are naturally thin and even thinner as adults than as teenagers.. she dosnt look aged either… why is it that ppl have to condemn the thin ones and condone the fat ones?

I don’t think she’s “too skinny”. She gained a little weight after Buffy, so I’m guessing she just lost what she’d gained before. I think she looks really good, but that dress is so ugly. It really doesn’t do anything for her boobs.

she has been about this weight for like 8 years. In season 1 of Buffy she was 115 then after filming a season and 2 movies back to back she went down to like 95…..she gained a bit back but has been this size since like 2000
her skinniest was Scooby Doo 2 / Buffy season 7

What’s up with her face it looks like she just got botox and she can barely smile. She looks really odd in these pictures usually she looks good.
I like the way she looks…heck I want to look like her…but if I did…I would wear something that a real person wears not something all my friends and family would think is a joke. How is it ok for them to wear these things out in public? You know if you tried to wear that to a fancy party, people would either laugh or try not to look at you! What has happened to our society where we feel necessary to tell these people they good in something when we know good and well that if it were in our own closet we be embarassed to put it in a garage sale??? 98 pounds seems thin, but she is about 5′2 so her ideal weight is 110 pounds. A 12 pound difference from that isn’t much at all. She looks the same
The dress just isn’t a good fit… it hides any bust she does have, making her look like a drag queen from below the neck (which she doesn’t usually look like, it’s just the dress!!!!)

i dont really see how she has “aged” like some of you keep mentioning. she has a nice, youthful face. she could use a few pounds . . def. getting too skinny. i dont know. this girl is so blahhhh it kills me. oh and buffy was a horrible tv show.

i love smg. she is gorgeous. i love buffy. and its true she was curvier in season 1 and staretd losing come season 2 and up. but think about it, she had to do a lot of exercise, she did some of her own stunts and learn how to use swords(cmon they it was probabaly part of her contract to keep fit - i mean she was a vampire slayer!) she has maintained her weight, i heard she gets meals delievred to her home >.

i totally remember that article as well! (the one where they said she was 98lbs). It was like soooo back in the day - but i remember it because i was clearly weighing more than her as a young teen and was like “holy crap, they’re pranking us, right? 98lbs???”

But yeah, I loved Buffy. Thought it was an awesome show! But she did get to a very low weight at one point. I remember thinking she looked exhausted all the time, like she would just keel over in the breeze. It was sad.
That dress is horrible and the face poses are odd, otherwise, she looks beautiful, albeit very slight.
Oh yeah, and to the person who made the comment about big chested people looking fat no matter what their waist size - I totally agree. Look at Jordan. She’s TINY all over. So skinny. But her massive breasts make it not noticable. Unfortunately I have large breasts and, even though I weigh much less than my friend who is the same height and I wear a smaller size, I always look bigger than her because she’s small chested.

I always used to get told that I look like her, well, before I gained a bunch of weight, now that i’ve lost the weight, someone just mentioned that i look like her a couple days ago - i still have about 15lbs. on her and my boobs can’t be flattened like that. Ouch.

This girl is not to thin, her ribs are barely visible. If she wants to look like a mother to be, (considering her choise of dress), it would help if she gained a couple of pounds.
SMG has always been very slim…. I don’t think that she is too skinny. She is very slim but not unhealthy. She used to look much skinnier when she was in her later seasons of Buffy. I think that in comparison, she looks much healthier, and, as always, very beautiful.

what a HIDEOUS dress! It fits poorly in the chest area, making her look scrawny up there. Her legs still have meat on them though. But what’s up with her face? It looks really weird, especially around her mouth. ???

She looks good here from what I can tell. That dress is so horrible, it’s hard to overlook it. She’s not underweight. At 5′3″, my height too, her being 95-98lbs isn’t too thin if you’re little boned. I weigh quite a bit less than that, and I have to eat to try to keep weight on. She looks great, she just needs to change her awful dress!
SMG was not that skinny until the latter part of Buffy. She was at a normal weight the early part of the show. and when she was on All My Children.

Her dress is absolutely hideous and does nothing for her figure besides make it a complete mind screw if she has even lost weight or not. I cannot stand her and she has always been overrated.
