Would it be mean to post that I cannot wait to see if she blows up like a balloon during her pregnancy? ::insert evil laugh here:: OK, that is mean, and I don’t mean it. 
But it will be interesting to see how much she gains.
She doesn’t seem to have gained much weight yet anywhere other than her tummy…

LOL! Yeah she’ll blow up like a balloon and 2 months after the baby she’ll be just as fit with no stretch marks in sight! That’s how it seems to work in hollywood. it’s not fair!

From everything I’ve read, she is very weight conscious. When women with that mindset get pregnant, they either lose control and eat everything that they’ve been denying themselves, or they continue their habit of underfeeding their bodies. Very few of them seem to find a healthy balance. Only time will tell which road she chooses.

I don’t think she’ll gain that much, probably 15 lbs or so, but 6 weeks after the birth she’ll most likely be on the cover of US saying how she lost her baby weight so fast, even if it’s only a small amount!! It only sets unrealistic standards for other women!!

Personally I’m shocked she even decided to continue with the pregnancy. Pregnancy= weight gain + major responsibility + huge committment…

Unfortunately, I’ll doubt she’ll balloon to noticeable proportions… She looks like someone who follows a strict diet at all times…. and at all cost.

I think being pregnant will help balance out her body more since her proportions are odd. Thin, long neck, slim waist, bubbly butt, and average thighs. Hoepfully her face doesn’t get fat.
I doubt she will be one of those that blows up like a ballon. She is annoying as an actress but I dont wish that on her. She will probably be one of those like Keri Russell that looks adorable while pregnant. We can despise her for that!

I am biased because I’ve hated this witch long before everybody started thinking she was so hot.
But her skin, neck and chest look awful and sickly…she was way too thin before getting pregnant. Maybe in a few more weeks she’ll get some breasts and her neck cords will disappear

There is some kind of baby fever going on right now. Everybody seems to be getting pregnant!
I do wonder how the weight gain will effect her, as she has previously stated, she comes from a “heavy” family. I wonder if the fat genes will kick in.
She looks adorable, and will be one of those beautiful, glowing pregnant women. She’ll snap right back into shape too. Those of you who hate her can take solace in the fact that now she’s permanently glued to her douchebag boyfriend. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
I don’t hate this girl. I hate other girls like her, but not her. She’s seemed perfectly pleasant in every interview I’ve watched. Please remember my acceptance of the group’s hatred the next time there is a Beyonce post, and allow me the same vehemence. Thank you.
She won’t gain much, will run frantically to her gym and trainer like 2 weeks later and lose it all in under 3 months. AND she will look thinner than BEFORE she got pregnant! AND she might use one of those famous celebrity mommy lines, “Oh, I lost much of the weight through breastfeeding!” Uh-huh…sure…
gosh - jessica ‘complete control freak’ alba is very unlikely to gain way loads during the pregancy, I mean didnt she like - cook her own food at home etc so she wouldnt get fat like her family - I reckon she will become even more controlled, work out loads then after the birth dissapear for a whole two weeks and return to the limelight in her size 0 clothes or less (knowing most of these stars) again!!
I hope she turns into a big fat elephant and I hope she gets horrific stretch marks and needs a tummy tuck or something when she’s done. I’m not bitter or anything, lol.

Who cares…I wish the paparazzi would stop taking pictures of her miserable face. I understand that it probably sucks to have the cameras always following you, but she should be greatful that they even care enough to take her photo. It’s not like she’s a good actress…and no, she won’t probably put on more than 15 pounds.
My guess is that she will not get any bigger than Nicole Richie, if that….
I have also heard she has to work really hard to stay this thin. Well, then again, don’t most people? I am sure she won’t gain that much. And whatever she gains she’ll lose immediately.

I agree with the person who says that she always looks miserable. I mean geez, it’s so depressing to see pics of her because she is never, EVER smiling! And I can’t comment on her acting skills because the only movie I’ve seen of her is the Fantastic Four.
Oh, how I hope she gets fat…… *sigh*
By the way, “Boink” — I gained over 30 lbs. during pregnancy and lost it all (and then some) in about 5 months by breastfeeding — no joke. I realize that 5 months is a very long time by Hollywood standards, though.

She’ll disappear before she gets too big and then re-emerge just as tiny….but she will work her ass off for it.

k, i personally think she’s going to balloon. she’s already gained and she’s barely showing. AND she’s been at the gym non stop but still gaining. i heard she comes from a fat family, but she also had an eating disorder growing up..i dunno hard to say, but my vote goes for fat alba. i know it’s evil, but from what i’ve read and heard she seems like a bitch.

rian..haha i think you that you spoke for a lot of people with those comments, Jessica Alba’s attitude and lack of acting skills make me dislike her. I know its not very nice but since she relies on her body so much I wanna see it change for the worse and I feel like a jerk for thinking that. It shows how a celebrity’s personality can really affect the public’s support of them….I don’t think that as many people would wish for Jennifer Anniston, who has had an amazing body for a long time, to get fat as they would Alba, who has always been known for being in great shape due to her likablility. I guess Alba just doesn’t seem human in some ways

i think that this pregnancy will show the public that she is naturally curvy and how her body shape really is without excessive dieting- you can see it already even in the early stages. Though i saw in another pic of her leaving the gym in the same outfit so it leaves me to think that she will try to be as thin yet healthy as possible during this pregnancy, but I personally think she won’t be able to fight the cravings and will do a Kate Hudson thing. Gain a lot, while pregnant then lose it super fast in a couple of months after the baby.
I really don’t get why everyone hates her so much. I happen to like Jessica Alba. I’m sure If I had an a$$hole for a boyfriend I’d walk around with that expression sometimes too, but then again, if he were my boyfriend - I’d probably have punched him out by now. My guess is she’ll keep herself in shape during her pregnancy, and watch the weight gain. She’s very controlled about that from what I read. I’m sure she’ll lose the baby weight quickly after the birth. I don’t think this is a bad thing like some of you seem to be saying. I don’t get the problem - -why does this set up unrealistic expectations for women, alot of women are lazy, and need to get their butts in gear and stop using their pregnancy as an excuse to gain an over abundance of weight, and then keep it on. I’m not buying it. I think that motivated women that want to get back to their regular shapes and lives will lose their weight asap. I’ve known too many women that have done this that aren’t hollywood women, and didn’t have trainers nor did they starve themselves to get their body back. I do think this Hollywood girl will be back to normal pretty quickly, and I hope she dumps her lousy boyfriend and gets a better one.

yeah, i’m curious to see how the weight comes and goes during this pregnancy - she has been so obsessed with not getting fat like her relatives that she claims eat like pigs (nice) that she is probally going to need serious therapy after this weight gain - well she should be getting some now

Must be hard, being pregnant and having to decide whether to let go and stuff yourself & deal with it later, or stay disciplined during the only time weight gain is semi-acceptable - glad I’m not famous!

yup, I agree..it is very possible to lose the weight fast through breastfeeding ( I breastfed my daughter for 8 months) but I do get quite suspicious when some celeb moms emerge with tone and tight bodies very soon after their delivery…it’s almost a certainty that they enlisted other help aside from just breastfeeding (if they did breastfeed, that is) and during interviews, they would go like, “oh…it’s all breastfeeding”. KWIM?
Yeah, hopefully she’ll balloon, because…that’s what pregnant women do…
I’m curious about the post-baby image and marketability. Even if she gets the body back, will guys still be crazily in lust over her after she’s a mommy?
Her looks aside, I actually feel very sorry for her. Some of you also noticed how depressed she looks. It appears that she is NOT AT ALL happy about this pregnancy and evenmoreso, about this “engagement”. She didn’t want to be known as an unwed mother, so she tried to correct a mistake with a blunder. The word inside the industry is that her camp had huge plans to totally take her career up a notch — meatier, dramatic roles. She didn’t even want to do FFSS, but contractually she had to do it. I think this baby will have a huge impact on her career and her self esteem. I wish her the best but it just proves two things: Money doesn’t buy happiness and UnSafe Sex Works!
her whole family is big which is probably why the girl supposedly had anorexia. trust me, eating disorders don’t go away-they just lessen. the mindest is always there hiding. she’ll most likely gain the least amount possible. of course i’d love to see this girl enormous since she gets on my nerves for some unknown reason. perhaps it’s b/c she’s one of the celebs my husband would sleep with? hmm…maybe i’m just evil!

Leave the poor girl alone. First of all, she’s beautiful. I would agree she looks down as of late, but hey, these are papparazzi pictures, not exactly the friendliest bunch around. It’s hard to have that sunshine smile 24/7. Regardless, i’m happy for her and her fiance and wish them the best. If she blows up, more power to her, let’s at least allow her that during her pregnancy…….. oh yeah….. and i wish i was the daddy

Maybe it’s me, but it strikes me as odd that they broke up because he wasn’t ready to commit and then she got pregnant…and suddenly, they’re engaged. A friend of mine trapped a guy into marrying her by purposely getting pregnant. I surely hope Jess didn’t do that and I’m sure she didn’t, but it just rings a familiar bell.

All Jessica Alba pictures lately show her in track suit bottoms. I wish she wouldn’t wear them. Being pregnant is no excuse for a fashion crime like that. Track suit bottoms are fine when you go to the gym but not out and about on the street.
Jessica Alba is the best one ever, I think she has the perfect figure!! It just a natural thing her getting bigger during pregnancy (many celebrities and obsessed women seem to go on a strict diet when pregnant and even loose weight, which is ridiculous!!!). Congratulations Jessica!
