Steve Martin At The Beach

Written on January 7, 2008 – 4:58 pm | by Rian |

OK ladies, here is the required daily male eye candy for you all!

mr_fp_185203.jpg

Just kidding! (You all probably know by now when I say it’s going to be “eye candy”, it most definitely isn’t! :-P )

Anyway, Steve Martin - who admittedly is 62 years old, so I guess he’s allowed to let himself go a little! - was spotted in St. Barth this past weekend.

    He’s ok considering he’s 67

actually he is 62 years old

Fine considering how cool and funny he is — and his age.

Oops, thanks for pointing out my mistake KM. I fixed it!

    Looks great for his age.

  7. By Cee Cee on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

actually i pointed out his age. i just checked it because i thought he was in his 50s

I just puked in my mouth.

  9. By Spectra on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

Not bad for an old guy, actually. My dad’s 50 and his tummy is probably about like that…hairy and round, lol.

  10. By mika on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

ohh my!! he’s as pale as a ghost!!

    but i suppose for 67 he’s actually very “not-flabby”

  11. By thalia on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

he’ll always be handsome– and desirable because he’s funny.

nonetheless, i wonder how much slack we cut him for the shape of his body because he’s a guy…?

  12. By breads on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

    lol
is the most i can muster looking at this pic

  13. By Lis on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

Eh, I think when you get this old…. you don’t need to worry about being a “looker”on the beach anymore.

  14. By thalia on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

ah, I just checked out some of the other guy posts. It seems people here are just as harsh with them ! good! lol

    EYE-SORE

  16. By Kyla on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

I think he looks pretty darn good for his age… and to pick on him just seems plain ol’ mean. “eye candy”… That seems pretty mean.

  17. By suzy on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

Whoop, almost lost your trunks there, Stevie.

I think we’d all judge a woman the same way — a pale drenched 62-year-old woman with body fat this low would probably get the same comments. “Not bad for drenched, pale, and 62″.

  18. By catseyesvc on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

    omg! that’s is f*cing horrible.

  19. By kat on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

lol now it sounds redundant but i immediately thought: pale, hairy, flabby and 62, this candy is making me sick lol

  20. By GossipGirl on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

i acutally got a bit scared when i first
saw this, expecting to see a skinny
female celeb :P aha, he doesn’t look
    horrible though. great guy

  21. By Lisa on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

He actually doesn’t look bad. Needs a tan, maybe…

  22. By jazmella on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

    He looks great!! :-D

  23. By cherry on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

considering he’s getting on quite a bit he looks pretty damn good!

  24. By AnnieJ on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

    Not bad.

  25. By shosh on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

I think he looks really damn good for his age! He’s 62 years old!

  26. By Ana Brynn on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

If you take away the ghostly white skin and furry chest, he looks pretty good! That being said, he would look even better with clothes on…

  27. By andrea on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

I think he looks fine for sixty-whatever. Good, even. If, when I am in my sixties, my husband looks like THAT, I’ll be happy. Because it could be a LOT worse.

I want to hand him a towel.

  28. By Karla on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

    hooott!! jaja just kiding
my grandpa is 77 and let me tell you he is better shape than this man

  29. By lambman on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

typical body for a guy his age, better than some.

he does still have a very clasically handsome face, and is funny

  30. By Ashleyy on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

    BARF.

why does he look like a troll? whats up with his FUG face?

but i suppose if you cut of his head, its not so bad. i have seen MUCH MUCH worse. eh. i wouldn’t look twice in the real world. As in wouldn’t comment on his bod either way.

But man, his face! yuck, his nose looks huge, as with his squinty eyes, BLARGH. i have never liked him. hes so annoying

Who cares what he looks like, he’s 62?! I think after the age of 60 we should stop judging people based on their looks. That goes for women too.

  33. By meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

ok, i don’t know how to stress this enough.

    HE. LOOKS. GOOD.

More than good. I’m not sure how many 62 yr olds manage to keep that much in shape. give the guy a break!

  34. By Frankie on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

wow my father is 63 and looks MUCH younger! Maybe bcz he plays tennis 3 times a week and has a young soul

  35. By Bruna on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

    Very insteresting….
(sorry, I can’t say anything else..)
    He could be my gandfather…

  36. By May on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

He looks very good. Some other old male actors are dangerously fat, like Nicholson and De Vito.

  37. By a on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

he’s a 62 year old man, I don’t feel any comments on his physical shape are necessery at least not related to attractiveness. What young woman or girl finds a 62 year old man attractive anyway? Only gold-diggers. Unless he were really fat or something (and then it would be a health issue), I don’t feel there is anything to be said about a 60-somethign year old guys “figure”.

Calorie - your post made me laugh out loud; “Who cares what he looks like, he’s 62?! I think after the age of 60 we should stop judging people based on their looks. That goes for women too.”….. I guess you were trying to be nice and sage-like, but still managed to sound about as pitifully shallow as one could be. I guess, under the age of 60 then, it’s good to judge someone AS A PERSON based soley on their exterior appearance. Yeah. Uh-hu………..

  38. By andrea on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

    a,
wow, you’re off-base. I’m certainly no gold digger, but there are plenty of 60+ year old men I’d date in a heartbeat. I’m 25. Most of them are famous, yes, but it isn’t about the money. Many older men are still very attractive, as is their talent. An example? Merle Haggard. Another? Paul Simon (yes, I know, he’s 5′3″- but that kind of talent makes up for it). I’ll also take a Sean Connery, Harrison Ford (he may not be quite 60), Richard Gere, should I go on? I’d date any of them knowing I’d never get a dime of their money.

I think he looks great for his age. I just love Steve Martin. Just looking at a picture of him makes me laugh and think of so many funny movie roles he has played.

  40. By MarikaJ on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

@andrea: I’d add Liam Neeson and Christopher Walken to the list.

As for Martin, I’ve seen plenty of tubby 30-yr-old guys on the beach that aren’t in this kind of shape.

  41. By izzie on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

come on… which man at the age of 62 has got a sixpack and “dreambody”? :-P
I think he looks good and he seems to be a cool guy!

Come on he look pretty good with 62

  43. By Kristin on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

  44. By jenni on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

at least he’s not wearing a speedo like arnold schwartzenegger did. lol.

  45. By Kat on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

I always thought Steve Martin’s job was to be funny, my mistake! Steve, get back to the gym! Where’s your chiseled abs and rippling muscles we have come to know and love?

In all seriousness, how is this remotely relevant content? He looks pretty healthy/normal for someone his age. I can’t wait for the day twats like you get old and realize that life isn’t like your favorite TV program.

  46. By Elaine on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

I’m thinking it’s best to leave the old folk out of this. It’’s not a fair judgment as gravity takes hold by mid-sixties -hopefully not sooner!

  47. By Persephone on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

at least he has the excuse that he is old.

  48. By Jodi on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

Whaaaat? An older man can’t be attractive to a younger woman? Excuse me while I fling peas at the seriously age-ist, incredibly ignorant with a screen-name as small as her mind, i.e. “a”.

I was seriously involved with a man 26 years my senior for many, many years. He 61 when we first started going out, and he’s 70 now. He was — and is — one of the most amazing, sexy, intelligent, witty men I have ever met.

    Grow the f*ck up.

  52. By shosh on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

Hey! At least Steve’s not like the old Italian tourists that come here to L.A. and wear a tiny speedo! No one over 40 should be wearing thoes; By LAW!
    = ) hehehe

  53. By elise on Jan 9, 2008 | Reply

Why would anyone bother to take pictures of a half-naked Steve Martin? Did someone actually pay the photographer? That said, even though I didn’t really want to see this, he does look decent for a guy his age.

  54. By elise on Jan 9, 2008 | Reply

And that’s so true what you said about Speedos, shosh, although I think the law should apply to men of all ages.
