Katie Holmes Looks Skinny Again

What I think is interesting is that, if she had never married Tom Cruise, what kind of adult style would she have had? It almosts seems to me that what I’m seeing of her is NOT who she would have become. It’s hard to say … but I thought she’d have a more bohemian or laid back style as an “adult” kind of like Kate Hudson or Sandra Bullock. Still chic, but really laid back and not taking themselves that seriously. She’s done a Janis Dickerson on us. I loved her in Mad Money — very carefree and un-noisy.
Are you kidding?? This woman gives me hope about the fact that having a hot body doesn’t end after you have kids! Gorgeous!
I do not think she looks like 90 yr old woman. She is dressing her age and I think it looks very appropriate. I think she looks very chic. I dont see any 90 yr old woman looking as good as she does. Definately a plus in my opinion.
Well I wasn’t commenting on her body — just her style in her body. Tell me she couldn’t hang out with the cast of Golden Girls and not fit right in. She’s too young to look older (style-wise) than Joan Rivers.

I think she dresses really well for her figure. I don’t know of any 90 year olds that dress like her. Her style is very clean and classic; when she really IS 90, she can look back at photos and appreciate what she was wearing.

Katie, back in the day pre-Cruise, has never been hailed as being particularly innovative or stylish.
However, now she looks bloody FANTASTIC style wise. So sophisticated and chic. She dresses conservatively, yes, but that musn’t be mistaken for dressing too old. In the celeb world of Britney and La Lohan maybe she does look a bit prim and proper in comparison but that doesn’t matter..I’d gladly borrow the pieces in her wardrobe! She’s so demure and I don’t care what anyone says about Vic Beckham “having an influence” on her style…Katie does it way, way better!

I think that in general, she leans towards classic looks, but I think some color and a little something (sexiness, color, flirtyness, something!) would really liven her up a bit. I mean she’s not even 30 yet!

I actually like her outfit, it’s very Katherine Hepburn.
As for her figure, I think the reason she looks so skinny is her upper body. Her upper and lower bodies are not balanced, she’s much bigger on the bottom. She has very thick legs, and so I think like most women, she diets to try and slim ALL of her body, so her upper body and face end up looking very, very thin while her legs stay pretty trunk-ish and shapeless.
I think an outfit like this is actually perfect for her figure, it makes her look thin all over because of the very slimming jeans, but not too skinny because of the flowy top. She really should avoid short (or even shortish) skirts.

i dont usually throw “too thin” around- mostly because people just overuse it-esp. when its clearly not to the point of being unhealthy (like it is usually suggested) but in this case i must say she IS too thin- this is as small as her legs will EVER get. No doubt she’s scarcely eating to maintain this weight. ugh like petal said, everything about her looks extremely forced and unnatural and that is never a good look. shes gotten to the point of where it just doesnt even look like her body anymore! who ever said her legs are shapeless- i agree 100%. Some girls pull the “I’m 2 sizes below my body’s comfort zone” well but she just looks like she needs to really just take it down a notch.

I do not think Katie is too thin. BUT I do agree the outfit is a little too old for her–don’t get me wrong, it is a nice outfit. But seriously, this woman is ONLY in her 20’s, a little pop of color, a little flirty lace or un-serious accessory would be more suitable. It’s sad. I think Cruise’s people are having her dress this way on purpose–she’s dressing the way his wife might dress had he married someone his own age.

I’ve never cared for her and I’ve always found her to be soooo normal looking and not particularly brilliant/intelligent.
Now, my opinion hasn’t changed, however… I want to compliment with her because she has learnt (finally!) to:
(1) dress in a way that her body looks great
(2) take care of herself and her weight in a consistent way
(3) look adult and refined as opposed to the trashy pinky-girly allure she had in Dawson Creek.

The clothes are actually quite gorgeous, lovely quality. She looks elegant, but like she isn’t really in her body at all - lights out, nobody home - as they say. I just feel bad for Katie, she got much more than she ever bargained for by marrying that insane nutjob. Dressing your “age” when you’re in your twenties doesn’t necessarily mean wearing booty shorts and a low-cut top. I think Katie Holmes looks stylish and chic in this outfit. As much as I dislike (and perhaps pity?) her, I like what she’s wearing. What’s wrong with putting on a slightly more conservative outfit every once in a while?

I think it’s Victoria Beckham more than Tom Cruise who has influenced Katie Holmes’ fashion and figure transformations (Tom has only taken over her mind). She hung out with Victoria and morphed into her or is trying very hard to. Victoria’s style is unique and looks great on her. Katie should grow into her own unique style. Copy-cats bother me.

I think the outfit is very nice BUT, I also think she’s being influenced by those Aliens Victoria Beckham and Tom Cruise. More to the point is that she carries herself and communicates completely different from before. I don’t think the clothes would matter as much as they do other than it reflects the dramatic internal changes (manipulations) she’s gone through.

Think that Katie looks really statuesque and gorgeous…a great many of her clothing outfits/styles make her look a bit too old and she seems to look so sad in some of the pics. When she was promoting her movie “MAD MONEY”….(she appeared on GMA, Live WIth Regis & Kelly, David Letterman & other miscellaneous shows) she looked (more) “younger stylish” than in the pictures posted in this article. I agree. She has morphed into a “much older look ” since Tom and his Scientology “minders” got a hold over Katie. It’s like she is always in a trance and like “pre-programmed” to respond to any questions she is asked. She looked so much more like the old Katie in her MAD MONEY movie. More carefree, outgoing and able to “think ” ( AND SPEAK) for herself”! Her friendship with Posh Spice has NOT helped, either. Not only has she been “taken over” by Tom Cruise and Scientology…BUT she has ALSO been majorly cloned into a POSH Spice ! Too, too Sad!

I think people come off a little too quickly to pinpoint of her “changes” to her dictatorship of Tom. For one thing, being as I grew up watching her in D.Creek, I still assimilate her with being that cute, high schoolish girl from the show. It was a freakin show. It seems so easy to label her as a robot b/c it seemed when the Creek fell of the face of the Earth, so did her career. That is what seems to be the reality of being on a teenie bopper mini drama for so long. My question is how can we say she has made all of the changes simply due to being with him? Maybe b/c he has such a monsterous amount of weird-osity, it has bled over on her appeal to the public. I agree with those that feel that her clothes are class-choice and agree with her body. I also think that she could mix her style up some and pair her classic style with some things that are more trendy. Anyway….NEXT.

Tina, thats exactly what I was thinking. All I remember of Nicole is that she is expressionless..bland etc. Katie looks the SAME EXACT way.

I like her..I’m not trying to put her down. I just feel sorry for her. I think she has the yes type of personality (always says yes and wants to please others)..she puts others needs above her own so people will like her.
Tom has such strong veiws and personality that she’s just turned into a blob that can’t think for herself and just accomidates him.

has it ever occured to all of you that the only people taking her too seriously are you. She seems to be a married woman with a baby who has a busy career and got dressed in the morning and got on with her day. Why is she taking herself “too” seriously because she is dressed like a young adult and not a 28 year old trying to look like a 20 year old (which is sooooo typical of LA). She very “New Yorkish” - good for her. Oh and by the way I can’t stand her husband and I am ambivalent towards Katie but I do think she looks good. She grew up and so did her style.

She is very skinny…her baggy shirt was probably choosen to cover her bony-ness and focus on her long slim legs.
It’s a very lovely style for a middle aged socialite or someone in the business world but for a 20 something young woman, it would be nice to see her in a few trendy younger looking outfits. Trust me, you’ll be older before you know it so if you can still wear the “younger” styles, do it. Once you can’t its sad. SHe always looks unhappy too.
I think it’s more of a ’70s look, fashion-wise, and she looks fantastic. She’s good at dressing in things that look good on her.

Um, I wouldn’t go with 90 years old. I’d say, maybe, a very stylish 65 year old. I like that she dresses older — that way she won’t have a problem crossing over into the next phase of life when she does hit that age. Imagine all these people today wearing cuts-offs and halter tops, then oops I’m 45 — can’t wear that anymore. I’d rather dress this way — like K. Holmes.
Anyway — I just love this photo. I love the hair and the lack of butt in the first photo. One wouldn’t think she had a child at home. I have a man-friend who is so mad that his wife’s body is so mucked up after only two kids. I wanna look like this post-baby. In fact, I know I will!
I have read this website and loved it for ages and never commented but I have to say somethings here..
Katie is not dressed like an old lady…if anything her style is classic, iconic, chic and very elegant. You don’t have to be looking slutty, baring your midriff, showing your thighs, underwear, breasts etc to be “young” and to look good. You also don’t need to be wearing neon colours or multiple colour combinations to look great.
Granted, since marrying Tom her style has changed possibly due to his control-freak nature but she looks demure and classy nevertheless.
I think her looking depressed mostly (like Victoria Beckham) is more to do with the fact that she is at a very low weight…I now know why they say being thin does not make you happy…sure it makes you look and feel better in some aspects (when you fit into skinny jeans and can rock the look) but from personal experience when I hit a low normal weight for me, I get irritated easily, ratty, emotional and physically feel like I’ve been run over by a truck coz everything hurts!!!
There is no doubt for her exceptionally tall height that Katie is at a very low weight, she’s truly skinny and yes doesn’t have curves etc..but she’s naturally a little thinner than most people- again her height lets her get away with carrying a little more weight. However I really like her and I think she totally works this look and it works for her
There is a HUGE spectrum of choices between midriff baring slutwear and middle-aged secretary. Clearly Katie could be making some choices that are neither one nor the other. It’s so weird how people defend her fugly old lady clothes by pointing out that “at least she’s not wearing something slutty…” as if those were the only two choices!
That said, I do like her jeans and shoes here, but that shirt is just awful. It’s not “classic” or “classy” for a young woman in her 20’s - it’s lackluster and droopy on her figure and the tie at the neck makes her look like a secretary on her lunch break. I don’t really understand what her stylist is going for lately - the red dress she wore with the unfinished hem, the fugly grey mother-of-the-bride dress to the awards show and then this shirt. Ewww.
And whoever said she should be a roll model for girls - seriously, God help us when girls look up to a very poor actress who married well only by the most warped of Hollywood standards and is now famous for being part of a cult. Seriously. You’d think you might want to point girls in the direction of, I don’t know, maybe a writer, a scientist, a doctor or an artist? Or maybe an actress who is passionate and skilled at what they do?

She does look very thin but not scary skinny of course this may be because her clothing she has on is often very loose not form fitting. I actually like her outfit but seriously she doesnt have to lose anymore weight because if she does she will be checking in soon for ‘exhasution’ and yeah she would be scary skinny which is bad!!
