Some former supermodels stay extremely thin (like Janice Dickinson, for example) and some just kind of let it all go… I think Laetitia kind of stays somewhere in the middle.

I’ve never liked her as a model. She doesn’t do it for me at all.
I remember her. She doesn’t look old or sloppy–just really average. Bridget Hall was one of my favorites.
She looks pretty normal…like an average person, not a supermodel. So I think she didn’t really let herself go, she probably just let her body get back to it’s normal setpoint. I think Janice Dickinson has an eating disorder and that’s why she’s still so skinny.
She actually looks slimmer than she did in her modeling days. I recall she used to be a lot more voluptuous. She is definitely not AVERAGE as average is 5′4 and 142. She actually has a very nice, enviable figure. Her face however, has not aged as well in my opinion but then again she’s on a beach not wearing makeup and she’s always had messy teeth.
She still looks good to me, nice legs.
From what I can tell of these pix…she’s a butter-face. Everything looks good but-her-face, lol.
No one could say she let herself go. body is so amazing. enviable by many for sure. The thing with modelling is that it is inevitable they gain weight when their career is finished. When modeling you have to always look the part just like anyone else in showbiz. when its over you get to relax and enjoy everything else. letting herself go would be like “oh im done modeling and i havent got to eat all the things i like so lets binge!” thats not healthy.
She was always considered a more curvy, shapely model, she never was one of the rail thin types anyways.
Laetitia was always known for her curves at the height of her career and she was never rail thin. I reckon her waist is probably a little bit thicker than it used to be but I think she looks pretty good, especially given the fact that she’s had two children.
i think she looks thin, but not overly toned & a little pasty. plus i think she is smaller than most models…isnt she like 5′7″ like kate moss? i think she has a child too, doesnt she? overall i think she looks great body-wise.

What happened to her tits? They used to be so much bigger if I remember correctly. Her face has always been avaerage imo, but her body looks decent, nothing too enviable.

She still looks like she could whip herself right back into supermodel shape within a few weeks. She’s obviously taken very good care of her body. I’d kill for abs and legs like those!

OMG–these are some unflattering pics. I always thought she was just gorgeous in a natural, wholesome kind of way. Clearly she is no longer supermodel thin…but a flattering suit and maybe some exercise {like not even the gym, just a walk around the block!} would so help her. I cannot believe the day has come when I would actually look better than her–she was my idol. Great hair, skin…oh man, back in the day she was a rare, rare beauty. Now she just looks like one of us {cause believe me, I look about the same, she’s just come down some}. Tsk Tsk.

My boyfriend at one point picked her as his celebrity he’d have sex with if he could have sex with anyone. I never saw the attraction. I always thought she was plain. Now she’s even moreso- there are at least 10 girls in my class who are hotter than her. I wouldn’t take a second look if I saw that chick on the beach or in the grocery store.
A supermodel is a person who’s name and appearance is instantly recognizable to the majority of people polled. I have never even heard of this woman, and I subscribe to many, many fashion mags. I don’t recognize her either.

Even at the apex of her career, she was not a skinny, skinny girl. Her body still looks fantastic though.
All you people who have never heard of her, you must be all of fifteen years old, or have been living in a cave all these years. She was considered one of the most beautiful women in the world ten years ago, she was once ranked one of the ten most influential people in thw world by Times magazine; she hasd appeared in every major fashion magazine; she was a Guess model; she appeared in Chris Isaac’s “Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing” music video; she was chosen by the French governement to represent the French feminine ideal.
Saying she can’t possibly be a supermodel because YOU never heard of her just makes you sound unspeakably ignorant.
And I believe she looks amazing, considering her bodyn and image are no longer the most important things in her life, she has a family, and has an enviable, beautiful body for a woman of any age.

Like Moni said, Laetitia Casta was a major French supermodel and she’s worked for Victoria’s Secret, Chanel, and Loreal and graced so many magazines. anyway, reread Moni’s post for a really accurate summary.
You know, I never found her to be super-skinny (I think that’s partly why I liked her, doesn’t matter what *I* want to look like, it’s refreshing to see a model that has a nice body but isn’t a stick)
So I don’t think she’s really gained weight. I just think she has terrible posture in these pictures which makes it look like it.

She looks average to me and her stomach looks like it’s tone but at the same time it’s not so it makes it look like the waist is just straight. It looks like she lost weight, in her modeling career she used to look curvier, her face was fuller, and she had more boobs. If she had children, then that is the case then why she is like that. But at the same time she doesn’t look bad either.
Compared to normal women in general..she has a nice figure.

I think she looks great, she just needs a bit of a tan. But she is still tall and beautiful and has great proportions.

I have to agree with Moni. I am guaging that most of the females posting on this site must be 15 years old, because Laetitia has been around for a while. I’ve always admired her for her natural beauty, and her refusal to give in to the cookie cutter model look. She’s always been proud of her curves (once saying they were made of French butter or cream or something like that!), and she’s always refused to fix her teeth. That says a lot about her beauty, given that she was so successful in her heyday, regardless of what most people call her “flaws”.
But yeah, she has two children, and she looks stunning! She looks the same as ever, curvy, and like a woman. It may be hard for young girls to understand what happens when you become a woman.

the only thing not supermodel-y about her figure here is her slight stomach, and to hell with it - she’s not a supermodel any more! she doesn’t HAVE to keep herself anorexically thin and ridiculously toned. Its more work than its worth for many, many people. Its nothing to DO with health. I never really got into her that much and I can see she never did get those teeth fixed…
moni calm down-no need to get so heated up for a person whom you have never met (I have to keep saying this to myself also when the abominable fergies, johansons, beyonces etc hit the screen…). Anyway, I guess everybody loved L.C. because she was not tall, neither skinny, never ever. She was curvaceous (even though her complete lack of waist tells a different story…) and she seemed to enjoy her life and her food (with moderation). and on top she had a nice pair of b**bs. Still, she never had this extra something that maybe Evangelista, Naomi, Auerman, Christensen (since you talk about Chris Isaac’s videos) possessed, hence her comet-like appearance on the “supermodel” scene. being mother and wife was the easy way out.

I know that her measurements are 36C-24-35. Sorry but my waist is more than 24 inches and looks much more slimmer than hers. How can she have a 24 inch waist? In all photos it doesn’t seem so thin. I don’t believe that. She is pretty, but she never had a 24-tiny waist!

She looks absolutely gorgeous!! Her belly’s probably not flat because she not sucking her stomach in like most of the women being photographed in bikini’s do. It hardly looks flabby, more like taught from having had a meal. Plus she had her second child about a year and half ago.

Obviously not, because you wouldnt have posted that comment about her kind of “being somewhere in the middle” the middle of letting her body go and keeping it skinny I guess is what you mean… first of all, Laetitia was never a super skinny model. She’s a catalog model that has also done runway, she’s a bikini model, so she’s not meant to be rail thin. Her body looks exactly as it did when she was in Victoria’s Secret. If anything has changed its her chest is a little flatter since she’s had children, but other than that, she’s exactly the same… Fing Gorgeous!
