i thinks she’s so beautiful! i love her. but she looks like she gained some weight to me. she used to look smaller, but i think that she has to be skinny for her role as Blair.

I say it again, Wow. What is the problem with women of average weight. She’s not even average weight, judging by these photo’s she’s probably a size 4-6 (maybe smaller, camera adds weight). Average for a woman (in the US)is 12-14. This girl is not even close to the average size. Again, we would be a happier lot if we didn’t judge each other by the size of our clothing. Good day to all.

Sure, she is pretty-and was superf-u-c-k-i-n-g sexy on House-but she doesn’t look particularly healthy. I am not saying she is unhealthy, but there is nothing about her that screams fitness.
To tamjoy–just because the average size in US is 12-14 does not mean that people need to be that size. Our nation is unhealthy and getting more overweight and obese each day. While not everyone woman has the ability to be the size of Leighton, I don’t think that women should tell themselves that 12-14 is “normal.”

Just because that’s the American average does not make it okay. The problem with women is that they think a size 12 or 14 is normal and healthy. The average American women is about 5′4″ and if she’s wearing a size 14…she’s fat.

I think she’s bulimic too. Sometimes her face is wildly puffy on gossip girl, and sometimes not. I find it interesting her character had to show being bulimic in one episode, but the topic was never brought up again.
Either way, I absolutely love this girl. Beautiful skin. Lovely body.

She deserves more credit than to be called “normal” - i think she’s absolutely gorgeous! fresh-faced, perfect skin and a beautiful body… maybe she’s put on a few lbs but nothing to call home about. i bet in person she looks quite thin!
sorry she’s not very pretty. take any average looking girl, throw thousands of dollars of stylists & wardrobe etc and they’ll look just like this. but figure wise she looks good, not fit but naturally slim, the dress is just unflattering.

she’s so boring! and she’s honestly not even attractive. it shows what an amazing job the stylists on the set of gossip girl can do for a plain jane, because she looks better in the show than any other candid picture we’ve seen of her. having said that she still doesn’t look that good in the show.

It’s so clear from the catty comments here that most of you are ugly and jealous people. How could anyone begin to say that she is overweight or unattractive? This is a slim, naturally beautiful young woman! Coked out and 80 lbs is not the standard of beauty, as much as many of you would like to think!

I think she’s gorgeous. She looks the same way I do when I have a bit of PMS bloat, and I wear a designer size 2 (or 0 in mall stores.) People think I’m slender, not fat, so Leighton is probably slender in real life as well.

some girls above have pure nasty comments and i’m shocked by their spelling errors. plus, no bones have to protrude or jut out just to be called skinny. i’ve seen loads of girls who are in borderline obesity but still have more obvious collar bones than me. im a uk size 6.

hi. unfortunately, the glands that you are referring to in bulimics is the parotid gland and her parotid gland does not appear to be swollen her. the ones which you are referring is the submandibular gland and as said, it’s just a picture. we need to actually palpate it to feel it is skin or subcutaneous tissue which is normal. alot of the girls who talk in these forums have body issues and while i do concede that the average american is not at a healthy weight, neither is being too obsessed with your weight or the appearance of your collarbones either. this is why this is the beginning of a health epidemic. too much food or too little food. everything should be in moderation. not everyone will look like a model and they shouldn’t due to the diversity in our genes. the key thing is to mantain a healthy diet and exercise regularly and most importantly, a healthy body image. this post might incense some of you because you feel that this girl who may or may not have an ED is too fat by your standards, but it’s worrying that so many of you know about the bulging parotid gland. it’s one of two things. you guys read alot about EDs or some of you have it. for those who do have EDs, i advise you to get help. good luck with it! i do enjoy this site though.

lol i think because gossip girls been off air for a while she has gained some weight (i would say 10 pounds) she was a size 2 in the show (without a doubt). She’ll lose again soon she has to the show is coming on again. Also the dress doesn’t help make her look thinner. In the end the girl is still gorgeous she has a beautiful thin frame with the more filled out face ( common in younder people).
btw she has a tiny waist look at the second picture, don’t let the extra fabric on the back mislead you. This girl has a beautiful tiny wait larger hips, small legs, she is gorgeous.

She’s pretty and thin, and not weird-looking or plastic-looking. which seems to bug people… she looks good without looking fake or skinny.
