Stars’ Dress Sizes Revealed!

okmagazinecover.jpg

The latest issue of OK Magazine claims to reveal something that a lot of people wonder about… celebrities’ dress sizes.

Unfortunately there are only six women’s sizes mentioned. And they are…

  • Eva Longoria - Size 0
  • Jennifer Aniston - Size 2
  • Eva Mendes - Size 4
  • Katherine Heigl - Size 6
  • Mariska Hargitay - Size 8
  • America Ferrera - Size 10

The article also says that Katherine Heigl had to go down to a size 2 for her role in “Knocked Up”. But I think she looks thinner now than she did in that movie… Also, didn’t America Ferrera claim to be a size 6 a while back? She seems slimmer these days then ever, so how could she go UP two sizes?

Hmm…

Stars’ Dress Sizes Revealed!

    Is that american sizes?

  • Brtigirl |

These are obviously american sizes. Can someone tell me what the UK equivalent is of these. Love Jennifer Aniston.

  • Ans |

I’m more interested in the cover story. They photoshopped that to a T. Shiloh and Suri are standing on seemingly the same ground. Awesome!

  • nec |

hmm im a size zero weeeeeeeeee! im 164cm (5′4 and a 1/2) how tall is eva longoria??? lso i doubt jen aniston is a size 2 NOW, if any of you have seen her lately, id say she is easily a 4.
    xxx

  • bec |

my names bec, not nec lol

  • katherine |

i think those sizes look pretty accurate– even slimmed down, America MIGHT be a 6 in cheap manufactured clothes like American Eagle or Old Navy, but not in high end clothing, esp. any major designer. I know that in cheaper clothes I can wear down to a size 2 (always somewhat pleasing, I do admit) though my actual size is closer to a 6.

  • samantha |

I’m a size 2 or 4 depending on the maker. If it’s an american brand like mossimo for target or abercrombie I’m a 2, in high end fashion I havent the slightest idea because I’m only 5′3′’ and clothes are alreadly ill fitting most of the time if they’re not a xs or small because of the lenght and proportions of everything.

  • Manda |

I think Eva Longoria and Jennifer Aniston are correct…but Eva Mendez… she is 5′8 and known for being curvy…I would of guessed a 6 or 8, I think she is beautiful and gorgeous…she’s one of my faves….but a size 4 seems small for her

  • jen |

brtigirl asked the equivalent in uk sizes…you just add on two sizes from the us size, so a 0 is a 4 and a 2 is a uk 6 etc…

  • breads |

brit girl just add 4 to any of the american sizes to get the brit equivelent

  • Miss M |

America Ferrera - Size 10??? I doubt that very much!

  • lily |

How can a woman be a size zero, unless she is a very short and tiny one, or a model? where do they put their asses and breasts? I don’t mean to sound rude, but I like way better Eva Mendes in size 4, than Eva Longoria in a size 0.I think men do too.

  • lauraaaaaaaaaaaaaa |

    my a$$ eva mendez is a 4

  • Brtigirl |

Thanks Breads. I thought Jennifer was bigger than a UK Size 6. I would put her more at UK Size 8 but America Ferrera is prob a UK14 for sure.

  • correction |

high end designer sizes are actually usually bigger than the sizes at american eagle or some such mall chain. anyways, all that proves is that size is pretty arbitrary.

  • Elle |

what does everyone think of Katherine Heigl being a 6? Seems pretty accurate to me, I love her. Any guess on her current weight???

  • AnnieJ |

I do not beleive any of these are correct.

  • jillian |

I think that these sizes are pretty accurate. I am a size zero at 5′3.5″ and 103 lbs, I have the same body type as Eva, naturally small and little boobies =) I do not believe however that Katherine Heigel was ever a two, she is just too curvy, beautiful and curvy!

  • Swanhilda |

I have hanging in my own closet right now, clothing in sizes 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. So if someone wanted to publish a story about what size I wore, they would just have to guess. I’m sure all of these women have an array of different sizes hanging in their closets, too. So yeah, I could say I wear a size 0, or 10, or anything in between.

  • sazzy |

its not that hard to be a size 0. i’ve been a 0 my entire life and up until a few months ago never exercised and didnt eat healthy at all.. some people are just lucky and stay small no matter what

  • Jamie |

its not that hard to be a size 0 if, um, you were born that way.

  • Slugs |

Those sizes seem accurate because of what’s already been stated - higher end clothing sizes are larger (size 2 = 4 or 6 in pricey clothes). Depends on designer too. I’m a size 4 junior. Can’t wear women’s sizes unless I go to the expensive side. Then 4 will fit me.

  • Amanda |

I’d say all their guesses are pretty accurate

  • Mouse |

If those sizes are designer labels, I can see that. Based on height and apearance.

America would be a 6 at a Gap or JCrew. Eva Longoria wouldn’t be able to keep her pants up if she went for a size 0 at either store.

  • USA |

Is ANY of this information from the horse’s mouth? Take it with a grain of salt.

  • pansy |

That’s BS. No way Katherine Heigl is a size 6. She isn’t overweight, but she is quite tall, and as such, has larger proportions. I have a friend who’s a complete stick with a tiny bone structure, but because she’s 5′11″, she wears a size 6. That’s why it always impresses me when 6′ models have a 24″ waist - it’s much harder to achieve than if you were five feet tall.

I blame the tabloid for randomly making up these numbers. I’m sure they didn’t call up celebs and take a poll.

I hate it when people are evaluated according to pant size - that is only one part of their body, plus it doesn’t even take into account their height, the proportions of their body, etc.

  • NotDieting |

I agree with pansy. It’s so annoying when they print their sizes because most of them don’t seem to match up. Katherine Heigl does look much slimmer these days than she did before she lost weight for Knocked Up. She keeps saying she hates dieting, but she MUST be doing something.

I wish celebs would give the real deal on their eating habits.

  • spanktacular |

size doesnt mean much due to the fact that one’s size can vary with each article of clothing. i know for me my clothing size is not always the same. it depends on what the item is, brand, cut, etc etc

  • suzy |

There really are no US standards for clothing sizes. There used to be, back in the ’40’s and ’50’s, but then we drifted away and have never come back. There are no “size cops” who enforce sizes and make sure a 4 is a 4 regardless of the manufacturer. So, I could start a clothing line and call my sizes “-10″, “-999″ and “skinny-butt” and I’d be in business. All this discussion about “she’s a 2″ “no, I’d bet my fat a$$ she’s a 4″ are pointless. So stop squabbling, kids. Don’t make me come up there…

  • Ekaterina |

Even IF these were accurate, it wouldn’t make any difference. I’d be much more curious to know true weights of celebrities- at least it would be something fixed. Unlike clothing sizes, which vary at pretty much every store. Well, not like the celebrities are ever going to come out and truthfully tell us this kind of stuff anyway.

People can’t believe Eva Mendes is a size 4 … well I only saw her in one movie (some horrible romantic comedy with Will Smith I think) but she looked very slim, probably a 4, in that … did she put on weight or something?

  • lula |

Thank you so much!!! I cant even tell you how frustrated i get about this issue, the way sizing estimates never take into account proportions. Like the way Kate Moss is always ’so skinny’, but shes at least 4 inches shorter than the majority of other models. So all these tiny celebs like the olsens and stuff look way smaller than taller girls because the camera cant account for height. You have to meet people in the flesh to get a truly accurate picture!

  • lula |

That was a thank you to pansy btw xx

  • Zahary |

no way Katherine Heigl is a size 6. That is a complete load of CRAP. I am a size 4 and there is NO WAY that I am skinnier than her.

  • pet peeve |

When they say “dress size” I’m assuming they mean a one piece dress. If that is so, then the numbers could be accurate because your dress size is basically determned by how big your chest is, and how your body is shaped. For example, Jennifer aniston could very well be a 2 because she is not that big in her boobage area, and even though she’s gained weight in recent years, it’s mainly below the waist, so she could still fit in a size 2 A-line dress.

  • pet peeve |

    quote:
no way Katherine Heigl is a size 6. That is a complete load of CRAP. I am a size 4 and there is NO WAY that I am skinnier than her.

Katherine is pretty big-breasted, so she probably needs a 6 for the boob area, then she has the rest taken in. I’m of the same predicament, so I know.

  • nathalie |

i never understand this size zero, in dutch/german sizes that would be 30 and in french 32. i don’t know any grown woman, even the most petite who are smaller than a 34 (size 4 in us). i am a 40 (size 10 in us) and that is quite a reegular size in holland. maybe we are a bit taller (i am 6ft and that’s quite common)

  • pet peeve |

There’s definitely a bigger range in sizes here in the US due to the ethnic diversity, I see lots of size 0’s and 2’s being sold because a lot of Asians live in California, and they are mostly under 5′4 and under 110lbs.

  • jamie |

These are probably “designer” sizes, not what most normal people buy at j.crew or banana republic. I wear a size zero from both places and when I’m at my “skinny weight” I have to have them taken in, and there are a LOT of people out there skinnier than me, at 5′6″ and 115 lbs. Designer clothes, however, are a different story. Those guys don’t mess around. A zero is a ZERO.

  • christinaberry |

What is a size zero in designer clothes? What would your measurements have to be?

  • Elle |

Eva Mendes is NOT a size 4! And I would most likely peg Jen Aniston as a 4 rather than a 2 but who really knows.

  • samantha |

a size sero measurments are rought 31 1/2-24-34 but it differs because sometimes it can be 31 1/2- 23-34

  • samantha |

    rought - roughly btw lol

  • Liz |

i’m a size zero :) but looking nowhere near as tiny as the beautiful eva langoria.

there is no way america ferra was a 6 or even an 8. even at my biggest, i was a size 6, but never has “chunky” as her. she looks good though, i’m not criticizing. she’s got curves and it suits her.

  • LC |

I believe Katherine Heigl IS a size 6, only because she is tall. If she was average height, then she can be a size 2. I am a size 0-2 at 5′4″, but I know girls who look skinnier than me at 5′10″ wearing about a 4.

  • aniy |

so if you smoosh all your fat into size 0 pants and can barely walk, are you really a size zero??

  • sarah |

i like that all you readers pretend to be so skinny.

    ha, ha, ha.

  • laura |

let me tell you all something. i just recovered from an eight year long battle with an eating disorder and i’m only nineteen. i am happy and eating fine, wonderful actually, now and feel like i just need to say this. ladies, it does not matter. your size is your size, no one else’s. your body is your own. the only way to happiness is to accept you for you and get on with life. you don’t need to “love” yourself–i don’t. that’s just sappy and ridiculous. but i recognize that there are so many more important things and the people in my life love me no matter what. they encouraged me and told me i was beautiful even when i felt like crap. the people in your life should do that as well. the life of a movie star is tragic, one with little to no control because of constant pressure. you don’t want or have that, so stop worrying about what some figurehead for a giant movie studio is doing. you’re all better than that.

  • lizette112162 |

I am a curvaeous size 1 I don’t look sickly, I thought Eva Longoria was 00…she is so tiny

  • Themis |

    >Eva Longoria - Size 0
    o.k. I believe that. She´s tiny.
    >Jennifer Aniston - Size 2
    neverever! She´s at least a 6
    >Eva Mendes - Size 4
do we concider the same Eva? I don´t think so
    >Katherine Heigl - Size 6
    Í feel o.k. with that
    >Mariska Hargitay - Size 8
    could be right
    >America Ferrera - Size 10
    this one too.

  • Ayesha |

According to Nordstrom, the Designer Apparal sizes are as follows:
    Size 0: 31-23-33.5
    Size 2: 32-24-34.5
    Size 4: 33-25-35.5
    Size 6: 34-26-36.5
    Size 8: 35-27-37.5
    Size 10: 36-28-38.5

  • rachel s. |

No Way American F. is a size 6… What??? Shes more like a size 12. She’s carries most her weight in her hips and butt.

  • GS |

I don’t think America Ferrara is either 10 or 6, but could be since she’s not so tall

  • schepler |

Okay - there is no way Katherine is a size 6 - I was working at Escada after she wore the flesh tone Escada dress to the awards show. We got the dress in our store for a trunk show - the dress she wore - and it wouldn’t even zip up all the way on the manican!!!!! And they are supposed to be a size 2 - she has to be at least a two or a 0. I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.

  • danceitup |

ok according to your Nordstrom’s chart i’d have to wear a size 10?? no way that is not right i am really pear shaped but still.. i don’t think those hips measurements are right.

  • Nicole |

I would think Mariska at her “normal” prebaby weight is mmore like a 4. Maybe post-baby she was an 8 but she’s lost a lot of it. I love that woman

  • sweetnsour |

I call bullsh!t — both on the Actress’ sizes and the Nordstrom sizes. JA looks to be a 5/6 currently. Maybe in Friends she wore a 2 at her thinnest.

And BTW someone can be a size 0 on top and a 4 on bottom. Then what size does that really make them?? A 0? A 4? Because according to Nordstroms I am a 10 on top and a 6 on bottom. I have never worn a size 10 anything ….. except for when I WAS 10!

  • breads |

laura you had an eating disorder by the time you were 11yrs old
    that is well, scarily early

  • Ragan |

eva longoria is NOT a 0. she is a cow

  • Jane Doe |

Forget sizes! Look at how adorable Shiloh & Suri are on the cover! Too cute

  • Spectra |

I believe Eva Longoria’s a 0…she’s really short and tiny. I don’t know about Jennifer Aniston being a 2, but she is pretty slim, so maybe. I seriously doubt America Ferrera was ever a size 6. She is WAY too curvy for a 6. I’d guess she’s an 8-10, depending on the brand.

And yeah, clothing sizes are so freakin’ subjective. Eva Mendes MIGHT wear a size 4 at say, Old Navy and Jennifer Aniston might wear a size 2 at the Limited, but there’s no meaning to that. You have to look at their actual measurements.

  • anon |

Go to clothesoffourbacks.org if you want to know celebrities’ real clothing sizes. It’s an auction site for commoners like us who want to bid dresses that certain stars wore to red carpet events. ;-)

I’ve seen quite a few of America’s dresses on that website and they are either a size 6 or a size 8. I think she looks bigger because she’s really short.

Katherine’s Escada dress was a size 4, I think. She lost a lot of weight in recent years.

Eva looks more like a 00 to me, but I think Jennifer’s and Eva’s sizes are correct.

BTW–designer sizes are SMALLER, not LARGER than mass market mall sizes. I’m a 00 at Banana Republic but a size 2 in most designer dresses. I once tried on a $6000 gown in a high-end department store and couldn’t even zip up a size FOUR! Mall stores have ridiculous vanity sizes because our country keeps gaining weight, and people would rather wear a smaller size. High end designers don’t care about vanity sizing as much because they are only appealing to a small sector of the market anyway.

  • guest |

no, designer sizes really are larger. Not the dresses they style on the models, those are sample dresses, but the ones they sell to the masses are quite a bit bigger.

i wore a size 0 designer dress to my prom. i am not a size 0. there is no need to vanity the masses, they are going to have buy clothes no matter what and they can’t afford something designer. It’s true that over time mall sizes have gotten bigger, but that’s in comparison to other mall sizes, not in comparison to designer sizes.

  • jo |

eva longoria is definately a 0 most definately!!!!!! jennifer aniston probably was a 0 too during seasons 6,7,8 of friends because i think… thats when she was starving herself( her and courteney cox like stopped eating practically and didnt go as far as anorexia but came pretty close for a few years during friends) now i would peg her as a 2 or 4 i belive she is wicked in shape she looks like she prob weighs like 113-117 and shes 5′6. eva mendes i would say is a size four on a good day maybe if she had to get skinny for a movie maybe if she had to slim down. but on a reg day id peg her at a size 6. she is tal and curvy the reason i wuldnt say 8 is cuz she is a sexy symbol and if she was an 8 thatd be considered “fat” for hollywood. i say katherine heigel is prob a 4 or a 6 because again these celebs have to be as thin as posible. but she does have big boobs…and she isnt that thin from watching greys anatomy. she looks more like a 6 to me. and america ferreira i would say 10 or 12 but i really am not as familiar with her. but i feel really definate about eva longoria and jennifer aniston and even eva mendez. lol well i mean as definate as someone can be who has never met the people …lol

  • Kimberly |

I thought America Ferrera was larger than a size 6! But I saw her in a movie recently and she’s very noticeably skinnier.

  • Jew-Lo |

Eva Mendes is NOT 5′8. She is 5′6. I believe all these dress sizes, because, as someone mentioned, your DRESS size is different than your PANTS size. I take a size 4 dress but in pants I take a 6 or an 8 (American), and I am 5′7 and 130 lbs (average I guess). Dress sizes don’t account for the size of your hips and butt, and all the aforementioned actresses with the exception of Eva Longoria are pear shaped, meaning their hips are bigger than their chest.

  • Anna |

Why are Suri’s legs different colors?

  • pineappleblonde |

GOD THAT DEPRESSING! MY BODY DOESNT SEEM TO ADD UP I HAVE THE CHEST AND HIPS OF ABOUT A 4 OR 6 BUT THE WAIST OF AN 8 WHAT HAPPENED THERE?

  • kaybee |

There is NO WAY Katherine Heigl was a size 2 in Knocked Up. She would’ve been downright gaunt. Maybe a 6… she definitely isn’t a 6 right now. She looks great, but that body is more like an 8.

Ugh… OK! is such a rag.

  • abs23 |

I wear a size 4 and have sizes 0-8 in my closet, because every store/clothing item is different.

Also, my sister is taller and much thinner than me, yet we were the exact same size.

  • Dee |

Oh you can not go by a dress size that is crazy!! As someone metioned earlier. They should put these celebreties body measurements out for us to see. The true ones wouldn’t that be fun!! I bet we would all be really suprised!! I am 5′5 and 108 (37-24-33). Now what size of dress do you think I would have to buy??? I have to buy a 4 and have it altered alot. I can not even wear Banana Republic pants that I love unless I have them tailored( which gets expensive) because they run so big!!
They just guess at these dress sizes just to get everyones attention!!

  • Maxx05 |

There may be a misunderstanding going on as to perception of what “Designer Fashion” means. True Haute Couture Fashion Designers are not going to bend and follow into vanity sizing like the masses have done. They work with fine fabrics, and make exquisite and limited creations. The Designers that are producing their couture collections are not selling them in sizes that would ever be fitting larger than a mall brand store size - ever. Not if it’s the couture end of the label. Designers have all levels of quality that they will produce. Ralph Lauren, for example has lines that are very common and affordable for most people to buy, and then he has different levels all the way up to his top of the line couture. The sizing follows suit.

  • skyy |

i believe katherine is a size 6. i’m tall and skinny and i wear a size 8 dress. the only reason is because my hips and butt and larger than most skinny girls. so, the size dress they wear doesn’t always determine how skinny they are. i look like a size 2-4 but i’m not because of my curves.

  • MelodySoul |

The only one that seems off is Mariska Hargitay, she seems smaller than an 8. Love her BTW, you should do a post on her!

  • Mika |

I wear a 6/8 on the bottom and 10 on top cuz my boobs are disproportionate, I’m 5′10 however. I can see America being a 10, although I think she looks good.

  • Teri |

Yeah, really! what size am I if my top is size 0 and my bottom clothes are size 4!?

  • lis |

There’s simply no way to peg a size like that… I’ve been clothing shopping lately.

I have a 27″ waist and a 34″ inseam and a 34″ bust. That seems easy enough. I ended up with jeans in sizes 4, 6, 8, 27 and 28. I found skirts in XS, 4, 7 and L. If I lay them on top of each other their waistbands are all ridiculously close. And they all fit just fine.

  • Dee |

Plus most stars lie about their height and weight. I believe most of them are shorter and heavier than what they say they are.

  • jay |

dude according to those nordstrom sizes i would be plus size!!??? i know im pretty big, but i never would consider myself to be as big as a plus size chick

  • MicrochipHo |

This is all bullshit made up by the mag. The camera adds 15 lbs if you are below 5′6″, and 10 lbs if you are above. America Ferarra probably is a size 6. I am a size 6-8 ans 126 lbs and 5′3″. I look like her in my pictures. Erin Moran is my height and weight, and look how big she looks ob CFC. Britney spears is also a size 4-6 right now, if you go to see where her clothes are being auctioned off for her HIMYM cameo. Eva Longoria is probably a size 00 or -1.

  • kelly |

I think people say that they are whatever size is the smallest out of all their clothes. Like, if you have sizes 2, 4, and 6 in your closet, you’ll say you’re a 2.

  • betterthanyou |

To whoever called Eva a cow, ur sick and blind…to be a size 0 is only easy if you are NATURALLY a size 0 besides that I would not say anyone is lucky to be that size…I like having curves and looking womanly. I am a tall young lady, size 6 and proud of it.

  • betterthanyou |

The other poster was right! Designer dresses (especially European ones) are larger…I can actually fit a size 4 at times even though I am not that size. Not sure if they listed everyone correctly. America looks smaller than a 10 these days to me personally…idk

  • Elaine |

Gee whiz, you folk are as obsessed about weight and size as I am.
    I guess that’s why we’re here.

  • Dee |

I am taking up fr Eva Menendaz she is not a cow at all. She is probably the most beautiful out of all these women listed. She reminds me of a young Raquel Welch. Classy beauty, timeless.

  • Erica |

I always thought the more expensive clothing was bigger. I usually buy kind of cheap pants, and I’m a 5-9 depending on the brand, but I tried on a pair of Levi’s $70 jeans recently and the size 6 was loose.. but I guess it depends on the individual brand? idk. I think the sizes there are pretty accurate. I’m about the same size as Mariska or America, I think, after googling them on images and comparing them to my pics, lol, and I’m a 4 to 8 in mall dresses. Idk if Katherine Heigl was ever a size 2 though, find that hard to believe.

  • Erica |

Oh and btw Eva Mendez is not fat, she has an awesome body!! If I had to choose the body of one of those actresses to have, I would probably pick hers (maybe Jennifer Aniston’s).

  • anon |

I think the problem here is some of us posters have a different perception of what is considered “designer brand” clothing. I don’t count something like $70 Levis jeans as designer. When I think generic mall brand vanity sizing, I think of a store like Banana Republic. When I think designer, I think the $500 dresses on shopbop.com, at the very least!

  • Ruby |

Aww - but how cute are Shiloh & Suri?

  • Ruby |

Britgirl - UK equivalents work like this,

    US Size 0 = UK Size 4
    US Size 2 = UK Size 6
    US Size 4 = UK Size 8

.. and so on - they go up in that pattern.

    Ruby x

  • Dee |

Mar this question is for you. You made a comment in The Keri Russell comments that you are 5′4 and weigh 94 pounds? Are you 14 or 15 years old because that is terribly frail for a grown woman. I am 5′5 and 108 sometimes 105 at my thinnest and have been 98 pounds and look too skinny. Also I am 41. I do not ask this in a mean way I just thought that is really thin for a grown women at 5′4 to weigh 94 pounds.

  • Teed |

So… there is something really wrong with those nordstrom sizes….just repeating what everyone else has said.

Most of these comments have something in common; we all seem to agree sizes are different at different stores. Thus I conclude…don’t worry about the size number itself. Take a tape measure and figure out what measurements are best for your body type and height and try and stay in that ballpark. Just think about what makes you look good. That’s what I’ve learned to do anyway…

  • gia |

there is no way America is a size 10! more like a 14. a size 10 is not big at all & she looks like a chunky girl. not to say she looks bad, just chub.

  • Maxx05 |

For real “Designer” clothing aka Couture, $500.00 would be on the low end for something to cost, as a poster said. I agree with her. Most designer items will cost well into the thousands, and they are not vanity sized.

  • mandy |

Laura-please, i’m not being mean, but you need to practice what you preach, if you didnt care about this crap you wouldnt be on this site at all right? lets be real here people, we are all here because we are fascinated with celebrities weight and bodies.

  • Size--0 |

i didn’t know about that vanity sizing thing in mass markets till now..
probably because i don’t buy in such shops..but anyway

  • Holly |

This is such a lie! There is no way that Jennifer Aniston is a size 2. Since she has split from Brad, she has mos def put on wieght. She looks haggard and I am totally sick of her and all the interviews people do about her that say she is americas sweetheart and is so strong. Believe me, she aint my sweetheart!

  • Holly |

Oh by the way, stores that carry numbers in evens (like 2,4,6,) they prcatice vanity sizing generally, because they are a womens line. Stores that do things for juniors and go by odd numbers are the real size usually. Avoid places like the gap and old navy if you don’t want to be taken in by vanity sizing. I also heard that H&M, as well as express do vanity sizing—I think they might be right at least about express, because I wear a 1(if I want a nice fit) and a 3 (if I want it loose) and at express I will buy a 3–well, I have a friend who goes to express and buys size 3’s and I promise you, she is NO size 3!!

    I meant 4…she is no size 4

I can assure you that sizes have changed. I was 34-24-34 in 1986 and 5′3″ I wore size 6 or 8. Now that would be a size 2!

OK, maybe Britney is auctioning off the dresses because they don’t fit her anymore?

Anyways, when I’ve been technically in the “overweight” BMI range (over 149 pounds for my height), I can still fit into many size 6’s. So being a size six isn’t all its cracked up to be!

Eva’s seems alright. She’s 5′2 so it makes sense that she is a 0.

My size 0 pants are getting small, but that’s because I’m growing! Yipee! Modeling world, here I come.

    Mariska has Major curves.

  • Erica |

Yeah, sizes have changed.. my Mom’s old size 10 or 12 jeans are the same size as my size 6 or 8 jeans

I’m really short and thin and I used to be able to wear a size 2 a few years ago, and now I go to the same stores, put on a size O and button them up and they fall right on the floor. I’ve had to go back to the children’s section to buy jeans and pants. I’m a grown woman and I’m shopping in the kids section and buying a kid’s size 12. I’m so sick of these growing vanity sizes. How am I going to buy a suit?

LOL @ all the “skinny” “TRUE designer-clothes wearing” primadonnas who apparently lurk on this website.

I find it really disturbing and sad that a size 6 is considered big and a size 0 is considered normal. sometimes I really feel like the only people who have any perspective here are people who have recovered from anorexia and have been through treatment.

America Ferrera is NOT a size 10

  • em |

OK people are u guys all american and british? i am an aussie and i model with one of the agency’s you may have heard of finesse? the standard size for models is an 8-10 australian. im 5′8 and am of this size. are these celebrities american sizes because otherwise i (no offense)and the rest of the models at the agency would look like america ferrera. so are these american sizes or what are they people cos im a bony girl!

  • em |

as in no offence to america ferrera

  • jenna |

sazzy, what do u mean some people are just lucky to naturally be a size zero? i feel sorry for them! they must be really short to pull off that size! curvier girls are much more sexy (and healthy!)

  • Liz |

Hi em, I’m an aussie too, and the other people are talking about american and british sizing. Hence it can be confusing as each country has different sizing. For example a size 8 Australia would be about a size 2 American and a uk size 6. I think sizing is ridiculous. I generally wear a size 8 Australian, although I own some 6’s that are too big, and some 8’s that are too tight. It is strange. Even bra sizes are different. Sometimes I am an A cup and sometimes I am a B cup. It would be great if we could go into a store and buy a dress without having to try it on first.
