Liv Tyler Update

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Oh dear.

OK, other than the awful potato sack of a dress, Liv Tyler looks lovely as usual.

I understand how a dress like this could cover a multitude of sins - like a bulging belly, thunder thighs and flabby upper arms. But my goodness…

The lovely Heather Locklear - who is 46 years old according to IMDB.com - was photographed prancing around on the beach recently, looking absolutely fit and fabulous.

No cellulite to be seen anywhere! (Try not to hate her too much, ladies…) ;-)

In Touch Weekly: Thin By Memorial Day!

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

The latest cover of In Touch Weekly promises to tell you what the stars (Eva Longoria and Lauren Conrad) do to get skinny by Memorial Day.

Unfortunately as usual, the article is a rehash of the same old thing. (Also, hasn’t Lauren Conrad put on weight recently?)

Here’s a quick roundup of the story:

  • Lauren Conrad did a two-week detox (which one, we don’t know) to kick start her bikini diet. After that, she stuck to 1200-1500 calories per day starting with a protein shake and berries in the morning, followed by salad and hummus for lunch and fish and veggies for dinner. If you are wondering why this diet sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same one printed in nearly every tabloid celebrity weight loss story…
  • Audrina Partridge got in shape for bikini season quite simply. She claims that she isn’t prone to gaining weight, so she just doesn’t drink soda and doesn’t eat a lot of sugar and does lots of sit-ups.
  • Heidi Montag works out - a lot - to stay fit and toned.
  • Eva Longoria lots those 10 pounds she gained during the writer’s strike by simply avoiding frozen or preserved foods. She only eats what is fresh and expires quickly. “The fewer ingredients, the better,” she says.
  • Mariah Carey worked out with a trainer and ate veggies and lean proteins like artichoke hearts, zucchini, tomatoes and chicken to slim down. (Hey, what happened to the fish and soup diet?!)

The article is followed by that same diet that is printed in 90% of tabloid celebrity weight loss diet articles…
