I think she’s allowed to look pretty miserable, some women sail through pregnancy but I found it hard and lots of other women do as well - makes a change to not have a celebrity enthusing about mother earth and with a smile stuck to their faces. I think she looks good, alot better than I did and when she’s been on TV shows in the UK she has been sweet and smiley - maybe she just doesn’t want to smile for a bunch of paps invading her privacy when she’s not working? TBH I’m not sure why she should have to…

In reply to Beth, if a baby doesn’t develop with all the nutrients it needs it may be more succeptable to sickness and disease after it’s born. I’m sure they’re all taking prenatal vitamins which helps, but their body still needs 300-500 calories extra a day to perform the function of making a baby. I mean it’s a lot of work! I do hope they’re eating enough. Jessica looks healthy.

In actual fact you don’t need to eat extra calories till like the final 3 months or something (not entirely sure but its somelike like that) and its only an extra 200-300 cals.

I wore velour pants most of my pregnancy too. Some of you try carrying around 40 extra pounds and see how comfy and happy you look! I Couldn’t imagine doing it with a camera shoved in my face all the time. I probably would’ve murdered someone.

Hey, you know what? If you don’t want paparazzi taking your photo or people on the street taking your photo, you should’ve thought about considering a job that doesn’t make you all famous ‘n’ whatnot. Sorry, but it goes with the territory. It sucks, but that’s just the way it is. It’s a tradeoff, sourpuss. Live with it.
Thank god there are some mothers on this site for some perspective. I don’t think it’s fair to comment on a pregnant woman’s body since it just sounds like every woman’s body responds to pregnancy (and post-pregnancy) differently.
I’m only left to wonder if her child will be born with a scowl on his/her face.

In reply to Jodi, I agree to a certain extent, but on the other hand some people act for the love of acting and not for the fame it can entail. Though in Jessicas case she shouldn’t be acting at all cuz her acting is terrible!
She def. gained.. this top is just very flattering on her. She should have been in frocks like this the whole time. If you catch her in a pair of strech pants and a regular top, you can see the gain in her ass and thighs. She has a whole new set of saddlebags under that top.
Oh come on, people. She’s pregnant. Maybe she doesn’t feel well. It isn’t all rainbows and pixie dust, you know.

Thats reeeally wierd, because she was plumping up there for a second and now she looks definitely thinner!…wow, i didnt know that was possible, but id say she must be on a striiict diet (no salty foods whatsoever) and working out alot - obivously not too intense cuz she preggers- but she must of upped her activity levels..
Coming from her i can believe it, she is probably obsessed with her weight and figure right now, especially when she started to look “chubby”. Argh! How annoying..

I agree with some of the other posters that it looks like she might have lost some weight…It’s possible that she was retaining lots of water earlier and her pregnancy, which may have abated recently?
She must have lost some water, no puffy eyes any more, no bloated face. Good for her she has finally learned to dress nicely during pregnancy.

Apparently my “quiet contemplation” face comes off as angry to other people. I’ve been told repeatedly it has something to do with my eyebrows. Since high school I’ve learned to smile like an idiot whenever I’m around strangers so I don’t get a lot of questions about why I’m upset. It seems to work.
Perhaps Alba suffers from this as well, in addition to having an actual reason to be upset: douchebag boyfriend, unwanted pregnancy, cameras shoved in face. I just don’t understand the hatred directed at her.
She’s definitely gonna go on a crazy diet the moment her baby pops out and in 4 weeks, she’ll be skinnier than Nicole Richie. Cmon, this woman is FAMOUS for her hot figure. Of course she’s self-conscious and depressed from gaining all that weight in less than a year.
And yup, these photos have been stretched. If you look at other pics of her on the web, she’s gained quite a bit of weight around her hips/thigh area.
She was boring before she got pregnant and she is boring now. The only reason I defend her is b/c everyone comments about her not smiling. not everyone woman is a glowing ball of fluffiness when they are pregnant. I was pretty damned pissed off for no reason all the time.

ok so i dont know anything about photoshopping so this probably is going to sound stupid but this pic looks off. she looks way to thin here. in all the other pics of her pregnancy she looks puffier and more bloated. i mean she was in shape( obviously she went to the gym every waking minute non stop we know that) but her shoulder seemed more rounded in the other pictures her face more round and puffy and her her bottom half too. and i dont mean in a bad way just in an expected way. now here all of a sudden why does her face and shoulders look so thin. i cant speak as much for the lower half. but i mean if anything shouldnt they keep getting mroe bloated as her pregnancy goes along( whether she keeps working out or not) this pic just looks weird to me. its strange. and of course the usual puss faced. poor jessica….poor beautiful jessica
THANK YOU!! I was looking at all these “she needs to gain weight! her baby’s gonna be sick!” comments like wtf have they never seen her pregnant pictures before?? I’m nine months preg so i know what im talking about, and when I wear a shirt like that I look WAY skinnier than I am. It hides my thighs and but and hips. That’s what it’s doing for her.

mmh she lost weight in my opinion…I mean come on a few weeks ago she was huge….and everybody was writing about…I think when a girl gets pregnant her real self starts showing off…IF you are naturally skinny without starving you’ll stay somehow skinny while pregnant but girls like jessica alba or christina aguilera who are just starving or working out like an ass are getting huge because their body isn’t used to a normal amount of food and they clearly have to eat for their babies…

I can’t stand this chick; she’s so dang full of herself that it’s spilling out of her mouth. I know she’s going to lose all her weight right after having her baby and she’ll have a nanny so she can work out 5 hours a day to get her hot body back. The only hope I have is that she gets stretch marks or loses some of her pelvic floor muscle control so she pees when she laughs.
She is looking quite good body-wise. Something about these photos really irks me, though. Sure, if she was rubbing her belly while lunching at the Ivy with a bag of just-purchased baby clothes then maybe taking pictures wouldn’t seem so disgusting. I understand that it goes with the territory and that she would get paid many hundreds of times the average wage of most people. However, I think that going to a medical appointment should be something private. I feel sorry for her that she can’t just focus on the baby as she’s going to the appointment. I’d have a scowl on my face, too, feeling really upset that something so personal and special was tabloid-fodder. There’s something really creepy about those guys in the background of the photos. Granted, she could move away from LA and that would probably end the unwanted attention.
Onto her body.. legs are looking pretty good and her collar bones still look quite defined so I don’t think she’s gaining lots all-over.

How is it possible she lost weight since earlier months? She’s probably not eating as much, and she’s exercising…hence, she’s losing weight but remaining healthy in the stomach area for the baby.

When I was pregnant with my 6 yr old son at 8 mths the docs wanted to do a caesarean section panicking he was too small and wasnt growing properly…. he was 2 days over 9 mths over due and is the smartest and tallest in his class! Goes to show that we all distribute our fat and muscle different, so unless you are a doctor who are we to criticise? though if is a laugh reading some comments here

A lot of you don’t understand that trying to be thin while havin a baby is like threading a needle. Its HARD and not recommended! Especially losing weight during pregnancy. Y’all say “Wow she looks great — she lost weight”. You couldn’t be more wrong. She has little fat and little muscle mass. You’ll need muscle to go thru labor.
The reason she’s angry is not just the paps, but the fact that she feels fat, because her stomach is larger compared to what it was when she was not pregnant.
She mentioned her obsession with her weight and the images of her since her rise to fame are the signs of possible danger. She has to realize, just like every other (female) celebrity, and everyone here, that a few extra pounds are natural during and after pregnancy, are NOT ugly, especially when you have plenty of cash to beautify yourself in other ways, and is healthier than toeing the line of underweight to ensure health
no jus because you didn’t gain much weight doesn’t mean that your baby will come out smaller. I’ve been really tiny with both my kids and had bigger babies then someone who was like 60 pounts heavie. My children weighed 7 pd 6 ounces and 8 pounds 4 ounces and I only gained 25-30 pounds my whole pregnancy and was 98 pounds to begin with…
Why isn’t she wearing a bra? Her breast will start haning soon! I’ve noticed that many people (celebs) don’t wear one, maybe its because i’m from europe, but don’t you (people in the US) wear bra’s?
