Is Katie Holmes On A 900 Calorie Diet?

Various tabloids and other online news sources are claiming once again that Victoria Beckham is being a “bad influence” on Katie Holmes and has encouraged her to try out her 900 calorie per-day diet. The diet reportedly consists of seaweed shakes, frozen grapes and edamame beans.

“Katie sees Victoria as a role model,” said the source. “She copies Victoria’s look and even cut her hair the same way. She is very thin largely because she is following Victoria’s strict 900-calories-a-day eating plan. She is copying Victoria’s fad of eating seaweed shakes, frozen grapes and edamame beans. She is tiny.”

Some of this speculation stems from the fact that the two have been spotted out at restaurants lately either sharing small meals or ordering appetizers for a main course. First it was a shared meal of fish and steamed spinach. On another day, Katie was spotted ordering a small plate of asparagus and chilled beets for an entree.

If this is true, I guess we’ll soon be hearing stories of Katie checking into the hospital for “exhaustion” or “dehydration”!

i think she is really pretty, feminine and looks somewhat healthy..

eating 900 calories a day won’t put you into hospital, plus if Posh is folowing this exact diet, why isn’t she in hospital already?? she’s been at it for a lonGgg time now..

900 calories is bad bad bad. Especially if she is also working out every single day and burning everything off and then some. She is looking more and more gaunt and bobbleheadish as the days go on.

Oh GET REAL girls: 900 calories is like a half (or one third if she´s working out) of what that gigantic robot-wannabe needs just to stay all fueled up every day!

It´s all very cute and soooo cool of you to follow a starvation diet, if you wish to end up becoming another boring raisin face…

    This is so 90´s. Boring!
How about coming up with something actually original for once - like following a healthy well-balanced diet and exercising to stay fit and fabulous?
Then again, I too would try to out myself if I was married to Tom… ;)

Ariel, if you’re eating 1000 cals a day and maintaining your weight, you must be completely sedentary with no muscle mass. Either that or you’re 4′5″. I know everyone is different, but the average basal metabolic rate for an average woman (5′6″, 120lbs) is about 1400 cals. And most doctors will tell you that eating anything less that 1200 cals a day constitutes malnutrition. So, enjoy your early onset osteoporosis.

she looks like she’s in her 40’s and dresses like it too. I’m all for being stylish and sophisticated, but can’t she do it while looking young still? I also think she’s a bit too thin and would look nicer if she gained maybe 10 pounds or so.

  16. By Teed on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

That’s disgusting. I hate this woman, she is famous for no reason other than being Tom Cruise’s wifey. Otherwise she would have faded just like all the other Dawson’s Creek stars. A diet like this is only going to lead badly; emaciation or extreme binging. It’s just not normal. It IS possible to eat like a normal human and be thin!!! Screw Victoria Beckham and anyone else advocating 900 calories a day.

  17. By Kodekai on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

I don’t think eating 900 calories per day is adviseable, not at all. How are you getting your essential nutrients in there? I don’t mean just protein, carbohydrate and vegetables, but stuff like iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B12 etc.

At 900 calories you may have what you perceive is a ‘healthy’ diet, but if your diet is purely for weight loss then it won’t have all the essentials. Anyone who is maintaining on 900 or 1000 calories per day needs to think hard about whether this is the body shape that is most natural and healthy for them.

I know all about working hard to be thin - I do it every day and have *chosen* to be thinner than I strictly need to be. But I have an eating plan approved by a doctor and I *know* that I get a sufficient amount of calories and nutrients.

I beg anyone who is restricting themselves to 900 calories per day or a number similar to that (which I would call eating disorder levels of restriction, to be honest), to at LEAST take a multivitamin that includes minerals. As for Katie? She was thin to begin with; now its ridiculous.

  18. By Anuschka on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

True or not - the strangest thing in this ist for me:
Tom Cruise was so strict with her to lose the baby weight for the wedding - and now that she is “addicted” - he has a problem.

Doesn’t matter if she had it from Posh or from him - and 900 calories are much too less - I know it cause I tried for month to live by 1000 and all I had was eating attacks (is this the word in english?) every night…

Girls stay away from strange diets and bodies like dead people - please.

doctors will tell you that less than 1000 calories a day (or less than 1200 or even 1400, depending on your metabolism, but baseline 1000) is a starvation diet. i did it for like a year. it is not healthy. it is not normal. it is not a maintenance pattern.

  20. By Elaine on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

I don’t believe she’s on any diet at all. She’s just naturally thin.

  21. By jamie on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

I think people are overreacting to this. First of all, being net-negative calories (after working out, etc.) is how you lose weight. However you approach your diet, at the end of the day if you lost weight, you burned more calories than you took in.

That being said, there are different varieties of “thin” and different diets will produce different results. I think Katie looks fantastic, and honestly not scary skinny at all. People have watched her go from a teenager to a grown woman, and naturally she’s thinned out and lost some baby fat from her face. I think she has fantastic style and unlike most LA women, dresses appropriately for her age. She’s a mother and a married woman, not a rehab-bound 20 year old - she shouldn’t be walking around in flip-flops and leggings.

Also, she probably eats like that in public on purpose so people will stop thinking she’s pregnant.

  22. By tim jones on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

Considering the overwhelming negativity on this site already, I usually do not do this, but . . . she is disgusting. She has the body of a 40 year old mom who jogs all day and is devoid of appreciable muscle mass. Oh, and any normal woman who consumes less than 1200 cals a day is a f-u-c-k-i-n-g idiot.

Not to mention the growing popularity of eating multiple small meals throughout the day. She also ran a marathon not too long ago- if she was in a starvation state she likely would have collapsed within the five hours of running.

I am all for the “every body is different” approach. Caloric intake is just another number, such as dress size and BMI and weight and all that. The same way it’s said that your weight on the scale isn’t really much of a determinant in predicting your health or even your appearance, I don’t think caloric intake is a measurement of health or lack thereof. Some may live on 900-1000 calories a day, and someone that same age and height and weight may require 1500-2000. Who knows? If you wake up feeling healthy and don’t get ill often and feel and look great, who’s to judge whether or not you’re healthy and happy by how many calories you ingest?

  35. By Amber on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

900 calories may sound extreme, but if you’ve been restricting calories for most of your life–and I’m sure Katie, Posh, and all the Hollywood girls have–your RMR has probably dropped that low.
I got mine professionally measured, and it is 980 calories. That’s it. If I eat more than that, I will gain weight.

  36. By hillary on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

a large majority of people eat alot more than they think because they dont know acurate nutrition information or they dont know what a portion size is. if you say youre eating 900/1000 cals a day and feel healty and like you are functionig properly and not starving, then that estimate is probably wrong.

900 a day? Is that okay? No way!

I eat 1650 or 1700 calories a day and am satisfied with my weight
(approx. 107 lbs @ a little under 5′5″) BUT it’s kind of a struggle for me not to gain. I’m the opposite of these celebs who are like, “I was so unhappy — I couldn’t eat!” Last year [jr. year of college], I was so unhappy that I couldn’t *stop* eating ( = super scary nightmare!), and gaining didn’t make me any happier (to say the very least), so - in order to regain control - I went back to counting calories (after having sworn off dieting in the name of feeling “empowered” and “free” to eat and subsequently ending up with [what I would say was undiagnosed] binge eating disorder). So, in the end, I think that for some of us, it really does feel much more like empowerment and freedom to carefully count calories in a way that enables us to control our weight than to be less-than-careful about food (to say the least) and to feel stuck in bodies that we can’t stand to live in . . . but, as I see it, restricting more is *not* necessarily better. Isn’t there such a thing as being *too* careful in terms of wanting to avoid weight gain? From my perspective, if you’re eating 900 a day, that sounds like way too little (even if you are petite and underweight). It doesn’t seem like it could be healthy for your body. It might even slow down your metabolism to restrict like that, making it harder to lose weight later. I don’t know how people can survive on that.

  41. By pet peeve on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

I eat 900 calories in ONE MEAL! I wouldn’t be able to survive on such a restricted diet. Katie is a runner (like myself) and my daily workout burns over 500 cal alone.

  42. By andrea on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

I wish they’d stop blaming Victoria Beckham. Katie is an ADULT. She can choose for herself what she eats. If she’s eating 900 calories a day (which is NOT enough for her, esp if she exercises), that’s HER choice. It seems like she lets Tom control her. Now we think Victoria does as well. That sounds like Katie’s problem; we should be criticizing her for being a lemming.

  43. By Hillie on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

900 kcal is not very much for her! She’s tall….like 5′8″ at least. I think 900 kcal is restrictive for even an average sized woman. I think Katie looks good, however, and I doubt this rumor is true.

  44. By Oksana on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

I cannot even imagine how much I would have to run to burn 900 calories if you eat it in one meal. Do you mean you eat one meal per day?

shes skinny but not overly so. if she were really on a 900 calorie diet she’d look a lot thinner and sicker

  46. By pet peeve on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

No, I’m saying that my day is probably like this: breakfast is about 400 cal, lunch around 600 cal, and dinner 800-1000.

I’d say I eat an average of at least 2000 cal a day. But, I’m a big girl, 5′7″ and 130lbs of muscle. Even eating 2000 a day doesn’t make me gain weight because I run 3-5 miles a day, and that is just my basal metabolic rate + calorie output from excercise. I’ve maintained this size and shape (size 4 pants) for the past 12-13 years! and Katie is taller than I am, an she runs MARATHONS, she defintely needs more than 900cal a day.

P.S. Your body needs at least around 1200 calories a day to perform just its basic functions… that’s if you’re not active AT ALL… 900 is cutting it a little close.

I never thought her face was pretty, but i remember when she used to look fresh, young & happy. Now she looks like a hunched over, emaciated, weak, unhappy matron. She has lost any sex appeal she once had. I feel sorry for her and being married to that scary freak must be hard.

  52. By Spectra on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

900 calories is NOT enough food for anyone, not even if you are sedentary, short, etc. You can’t get enough nutrients on a diet under 1200 calories a day, plain and simple. And if Katie is doing marathons, she needs to be consuming around 2000-2200 calories a day at LEAST. I am really active and I eat around 2400 calories a day and I weigh like 100 lbs. If she keeps up this 900 calorie a day thing, she’ll end up looking like a twig and she WILL probably pass out from malnutrition/low blood sugar. Maybe the fall will knock some sense into her head and she’ll finally leave Tom and get a normal life.

Everyone needs minimum 1200 just for your body to run. The only person who might possibly need only 900 is someone who lies in bed staring at the ceiling all day. If you eat only 900 a day, you’re either hungry or lying. I used to eat that little, and even though I’m short and 110 pounds, I was hungry, so I can’t imagine how it is for someone Katie’s height.

I doubt she is actually on a 900 a day diet, but who knows. On some days that seems like enough food on other days it isn’t. I workout a lot, but on days that I don’t lift weights or jog I just don’t feel that hungry and probably don’t eat much more than 1000 a day.

Solina, you are right, it WILL make you crazy!! And for anyone who has truthfully suffered from an eating disorder knows that the constant calorie counting and restrictions will make you crazy. Some people it probably takes longer than others… but in the end, it’s still crazy. Why would anyone do that to lose a few lbs… I just don’t know. It doesn’t seem worth all the constant head games that will stick in some people’s heads for the rest of their lives, long after they “recover”.

However, I think the tabloids are full of crap as usual. While I don’t doubt she probably doesn’t eat much to try to keep a slim figure, I also think that she’s naturally thin. She hasn’t gotten any thinner lately, and I agree that she probably lost some baby fat and she probably does do some effort and restriction to keep this thin…

But she’s a long way from looking like Posh… A long, long way. I love her sense of fashion but I’m not sure what’s up with her hair lately.

  66. By angela on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

ps… and unless she’s wearing a padded bra, she still has boobs and if she had an eating disorder and was restricting this extreme, she wouldn’t have any. thats the fattest part of most womens bodies, and when you start dieting that extreme, they’ll go after a short while.

  67. By lamicmic on Apr 14, 2008 | Reply

900 calories? thats pretty much a starvation diet (according to WHO)

anything under 1200 REGARDLESS OF HEIGHT will force your body into starvation mode aka your metabolism slows down and your RMR will drop. Once you start eating normally again there might be an initial weight gain, but unless you’re maintaining your body weight at an unhealthy level, the weight will drop back off.

Interestingly, most people underestimate their caloric consumption by ~800kcal

She has def. changed ALOT since her whole life was turned upside down. I mean, marrying Tom Cruise, having a daughter, and becoming best friends with Victoria Beckham; fashion icon (and I can’t see why, no offence), former Spice Girl, wife to David Beckham (HELLO!) oh and well she’s quite well known for her thin frame. Okay so that has def. changed her life. But I’d like to say she looks great! She’s never looked better, I don’t actually think she’s too thin, she’s young and naturally a smaller person so I don’t really buy into all these rumors, she looks amazing. And can I also add how much I admire her. The media and the rest of the general public are constantly thrashing out with all these stories about how Tom is deranged (okay that might be true) and back a while ago there were rumours that there was something wrong with Suri well she had to deal with that so I think she’s such a strong mature person. I mean putting up with people telling you your husband that you love dearly is a lunitic and spreading lies about a 900 calorie deit is one thing but saying there is something wrong with your daughter is something else. I really admire how she deals with the shit fame dishes out to you. Oh and not to mention her great fashion sense since hooking up with her partner in crime, love everything she wears. Classy, chic and timless. She never goes wrong…well not yet at least.

900 calories is not enough all the time. Maybe if one day Katie has had a fair amount to eat and not exercised for a few days then 900 calories would be oky once in awhile, but it isn’t realistic. I am done counting calories..it was starting to ruin my life.
The girl who says that 980 (?) + would make her gain weight, musn’t be accounting exercise into it.

1200 rule is for macronutrient need more than caloric need. Its tough to get proper needs in under 1200 (hence the shakes)

Her 900 calorie diet is probably more nutrient dense than the typical american junk food diet.

I think she looks good here. She had a nasty stringy phase. I am glad she dresses with a bit of maturity. She also comes from a conservative family so I am sure that comes in to play when picking the wardrobe.

I’m ignoring all the people who think that 900 or 1000 calories a day are perfectly normal. These people either have an ED or had an ED. Every person with some common sense knows that you cannot function 100% on such less calorie intact.

As for Katie Holmes, unless her weirdo husband Tom Cruise hasn’t already brainwashed her, I do believe that she is her own woman and can make up her own mind of how much or less she eats. No need to blame someone else who’s thin.

p.s the girl who said she eats 900 calories a day and is 5′2″,weighs 96 lbs. FYI- The only reason your 96 lbs. is because your starving yourself. EAT! You only live once, enjoy it!

I think the extreme weight loss has aged her - the same thing happened to Courteney Cox when she lost weight throughout friends, she seemed to age really quickly. Katie is not what I would call healthy looking and I doubt she is happy. Everything is ok in moderation.

Just so you know you need Calcium to prevent osteoporosis. When you are young it is important to get lots of it because your bones are still growing. My sister is 50 and has starved herself her whole life to be a size 6. Osteoporosis runs in my family. She recently tested her bone density. She has the bones of a 85 year old woman. This is what happens when you starve yourself. Look good today!! Break a hip when you are 50 or 60. Some of you are starving yourselves and you don’t even know what vitamins and minerals you need for your body to function~SCARY!!!!

Someone pulled 900 calories out of the air.

BTW I agree with whoever it was who said that on a vegan, non-junk diet it’s possible to be well-fed. How do you think large herbivorous animals maintain their skeletal mass? Stay away from cooked foods, people -we weren’t born with a stove.

Minnie, you do realize that the anatomy and physiology of many land herbivores differs from our own right? For instance, cows have one stomach with four compartments. Also, humans have evolved to consume grasses, vegetables etc AND meat. Are you suggesting we stop cooking our meat?

  99. By Mouse on Apr 15, 2008 | Reply

Necessary calorie intake depends on your activity level and body composition (muscles burn more calories), as well as your height/ current weight. And 900 for a woman as tall as Katie, sounds suspiciously low, even if she was trying to lose weight. Just great. Now there will be a slew of dim witted sheep following this 900 calorie diet and dropping like flies. Such irresponsible BS these tabloids print.

(Those who THINK they’re eating X number of calories a day, try clocking every morsel of food you eat. You might be surprised at just how much you consume. And might be shocked at how weak you might feel eating less than 1000 calories a day no matter how short you are.)

i’m a runner (3-10 miles 5 days a week, sometimes stairmaster for 20-30mins as warm up) and i eat, on average, between 900-2000 calories a day, depending on how my body feels. some mornings i wake up and my body tells me it needs a giant fruit smoothie, sometimes i wake up and only want egg whites. the important thing is that i take supplements to make sure that i am getting the nutrients i need (and to avoid health problems later) AND when i do eat, i’m eating healthy (no junk food, etc).

if she’s eating seaweed and edamame (two of my favs), she’s getting protein… if she adds veggies and maybe some fish and lean meats with supplements, she’s probably fine.

Calm down Tim, your reaction is rather emotional. I have every right to my opinion. It has nothing to do with animal rights - we’re just not designed to eat meat or dairy. I’m not any kind of crank. It’s just nature. You might try some research. The intestine of a human is too long to tolerate meat - unlike that of, say, a cat - it takes so long to pass through that it creates toxins on the way - hence your IBS etc.

You only have to watch TV for a couple of hours to see that this generation is plagued with weight issues, diabetes and all kinds of other health problems. You have to agree that when you can get a blood sugar testing kit to match your outfit things have reached a pretty disastrous level.

Isn’t it possible that if we cast off all processed foods, that is, foods which are not in their natural state, our health and weight would improve?

There are some great websites around on these issues. I think it’s fear of moving away from the accepted, processed norm which is holding everyone back.

It is possible to eat 900 calories a day and be full and healthy. 12 ounces of steamed broccoli is only 100 calories. Eat that with some Eggbeaters and low fat cheese, and you will be STUFFED on less than 300 calories, and be getting ntrition… Sticking to very lean sources of protein and steamed or raw veggies make this not that difficult. If she is also taking vitamins and supplements, she can easily be meeting all nutritional needs. (A 100 calorie scoop of protein powder will provide 23 grams of protein, etc.) Trust me, I’ve done the very low-cal thing for extended times, and while you probably wouldn’t want to do it forever, it is certainly feasible for 6 months to a year at a time. She would probably be pretty cranky, but her health would be fine. Americans are just encouraged to overeat.

  118. By Sian on Apr 15, 2008 | Reply

Taking supplements in order to balance a very restrictive diet is not nearly as good for you as the real deal, i. e. getting vitamins and minerals from fruit, vegetables and whole grain foods. Those also have other nutrients like flavonoids that are important for one’s body, among other stuff. At least that’s what doctors and nutritional experts are always saying. AND some vitamins can only be absorbed when simultaneously consuming fatty foods.
I admit I’m not exactly a certified expert on these things, but I guess someone like Tim Jones could back me up…

  119. By tim jones on Apr 15, 2008 | Reply

shayna, you are wrong. It is not just a matter of meeting one’s micronutrient needs and protein needs, one also needs fat and carbohydrates. And above all else, one needs CALORIES. It does not matter if Katie Holmes consumes every single vitamin, mineral, antioxidant, etc. in existence if she is not consuming enough CALORIES; her metabolism will slow to a crawl, her body will begin to catabolize her skeletal muscle, and her endocrine glands-the thyroid specifically-will begin to function less efficiently due to the lack of CALORIES, FAT, and CHOLESTEROL in her diet. Oh, and one more thing, a 300 calorie omelet would never leave me STUFFED.

    Sian, you are right.

I know my metabolism is fine with 2500 and even up to 3000 a day, so I am not saying that what I eat is the average either ;p PLUS, calories say NOTHING about whether or not you eat much, it’s much more about WHAT you eat. if you eat 1200 calories of sugar per day, that won’t be good either

The WHO (World Health Organization) has determined that the average adult, male or female, requires a balanced diet of at least 2100 calories per day. Anything under this is considered a starvation diet. Again, for most people, this is a lower limit. Those with a higher activity level need more calories. For most people, susbisting on a starvation diet isn’t something to boast about. Chances are you aren’t functioning at an optimal level for you. You can starve and slow your metabolism so that it requires less than this, but you won’t be performing as well as you should… you won’t be fully you. And YOU only have one life. Jean Antonello, a nurse and author has written a few books about becoming naturally thin (not by starving yourself!). Her book Breaking out of Food Jail helped save me from anorexia and re-establish a normal relationship with food. Google her name to find out more.

With respect, 900 cals/day is a starvation diet according to WHO, I’ve done a lot of studying on this topic, esp nutrition during wars and famines, so I know whereof I speak. :)

2100 is too high for a sedentary smallish female who isn’t pregnant - while I can’t comment on Ms Holmes, it would be a mistake to say that 2100 cals/day is the bare minimum for everyone, especially women.

My interpretation of the word natural is, ‘as nature intended’.

My belief is that the food which is provided by nature is not heated, salted, refined, etc. It is simply gathered and eaten.

Humans are the only animals on the planet who deem it necessary to mess with their food. As a result, we are suffering all manner of degenerative diseases.

As animals, nature didn’t equip us with speed to catch prey, claws with which to tear it apart, etc. The need to cook meat indicates that we cannot digest it raw. everything else requires a tool, a refinement of some kind. That leads to my personal belief that we were not designed to consume it. That’s up to the individual, but I’m not concerned about my nutrition. Do we worry that our near relatives the apes aren’t getting enough meat? Are they all dying of heart disease and diabetes and osteoporosis?

I get freaked out by the endless array of altered, coloured, packaged foods we are encouraged to consume. As a New Zealander I grew up in a culture where the dairy industry is the backbone of the country’s economy. So we were endlessly told by ‘experts’ (paid by the dairy industry), that milk and its products are the healthiest food ever, and it was basically unpatriotic to disagree.

But at the basis of that is money, not health. and I will never believe that food which is produced for a baby cow to consume only until it is old enough to eat grass, is a food which the human race needs to survive. Nobody is suggesting we all drink human milk. Except for babies.

Anyhow, that’s my view. Good health to everyone.

Gaining a bit of weight would be healthy for you(at your weight level now) This sounds very scary- i hope you soon realize that.

Just a thought for everyone to consider - she may have a GI problem called gastroparesis (basically, the stomach stops digesting correctly, food sits there forever and nutrients aren’t absorbed because they take too long to get to the intestines) . I dropped 40 lbs in a year without doing anything…my family thought I was on drugs, not eating, bulimic, etc. Husband was the only one who could verify that I was not doing any of those things. They don’t know why it happens (and it happens to mostly women). My bet is stress (for myself) and could be very likely for Katie as well. It took them 7 months to find the problem - they were baffled.

Minnie, I agree with you regarding the diet industry, and the dairy industry, and advertisers, and the refinement of food having a negative consequence on health, but I still believe we were meant to eat meat. We have canine teeth and appendixes designed to aid in our consumption and digestion of meat. Have you ever heard of Steak tartare? It is raw beef or horse meat with an uncooked egg yolk on top. Cooking meat is merely a way of reducing the inherent risk of disease.

She cuts out whole food groups and practically starves herself. she is not a good role model to anyone. she influences bad stuff. and also why is katie holmes married to that idiot. he is warped all that scientology rubbish. i wouldn’t be surprised if he ordered her to starve her already slim frame. poor girl.

200-500 cals a day? 900 a day is too much? Lordy, lordy, lordy, some people don’t want to live to be over 40! Just wait until your bones break because you’ve been depriving your body of calcium and other nutrients, until your skin looks like wrinkled paper because you have no body fat, until your metabolism is so messed up there is almost no hope.

But back to Katie Holmes. My personal take is that she is so unhappy with Tommy Boy that she’s hoping she’ll be skinny enough soon to blow away and escape over the fence of her $50 million dollar mansion! Does anyone remember when she used to look happy? How sad.

How does making a couple smart eating choices indicate a starvation diet?? Geez, I do that all the time with my friends. I like to be able to stand upright and not fall asleep after my meals.

Crabby Patty…I have already said that I’m very healthy. With the food I ate during the day,I put in my body all the things I need to live and to function normaly, maybe more than you. I eat only healthy food and I’m really not worried about this. Maybe you have to think about the food you eat….but I know that there is nothing wring with me and my eating habits!

I’d like to make a point, if I may.

I went to the US when I was about ten, and I’m 16 now. I have to say that the portion sizes in your country are enormous… and the appetizers are enough for like, five people.

Just my observation. I’m not surprised that they share an appy.

In order to function properly you need 1200 calories. If you eat anything less than that you are in starvation mode. And it doesn’t matter if you are not tall, you are still not getting enough nutrients.

I think Katie looks older than her true age.

    Mercedes; I agree. I haven’t been in USA,but I’ve heard a lot. And their milk have 8,5% fat,but ours have just 3,5%. Big difference,ha….???
They must starve them self if they wanna be thin, there is no other way!!!

Hana - thank you for your concern about my daily food intake, per your comments in the post above - “With the food I ate during the day,I put in my body all the things I need to live and to function normaly, MAYBE MORE THAN YOU.” and “MAYBE YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THE FOOD YOU EAT ….but I know that there is nothing wring with me and my eating habits!” I just can’t tell you what it means to me to know that you care about me - you really do! You’re a pretty ……. special ……. person.

Crabby Patty; I have already told you that I eat only healthy food,so there is nothing I have to worry about, cause I eat enough for myself!!!

Ou and I’m sorry if I was insult you.

Anyone who is eating 900 calories a day is not healthy. Even if you don’t feel hungry, that’s just not at all healthy. It leads to malnutrition, but if someone is used to eating so little, they may not even realize it. Eating that little is NOT GOOD, and unless a person is ill and for whatever reason just can’t eat the much, a person needs a LOT MORE to not get brittle bones, mental impairment, and other nasty things.
