I have no idea what she is eating or what is in that awful-looking green drink…

ewwie what is she drinking..?
ewwie what is she drinking..?
It’s called bubble tea you uncultured fool
i love bubble tea but it has sooooooo much sugar in it.
It’s bubble tea and it’s actually pretty good.
yes it’s bubble tea
yummy
green magma??
that’s a pretty skirt
Yep, Bubble Tea.
Anyone with an ounce of class and culture knows it’s bubble tea.
yeah! uncultured as hell! how could you not now the name of such a posh drink!?
…
her hair looks like sh!t
isnt she with stephanie pratt in these pics
ehh she looks ok. There isn’t anything too special about her. She’s not ugly she’s not gorgeous. Just a girl next door.
lol at everyone thinking they’re so ~classy and cultured~ because they know what bubble tea is. get a grip people, we’re all on a celebrity gossip site- no need for snootiness.
Umm . . Ok, looks like she’s drinking a Green tea flavored bubble tea, and BY THE WAY . . . it doesn’t mean you’re have no class or are cultureless if you don’t know what it is . . If people don’t know what it is, encourage them to try it instead of making them feel like a “fool.”
Yeesh.
oops, the mean comments were deleted, so now it looks like i’m talking smack to the people that just identified it…..not talking to you ladies just the rude comments that were deleted
she is really obsessed w/ that braiding thingy to the side..AND those glasses look horrid on her IMO.
I have never had bubble tea, but I hear it’s nasty.
Team Heidi!
oddly enough, they call it a boba in la la land. why? i don’t know.
It looks like it has both pearls and jelly in her bubble tea. the jellys are lychee jelly and the pearls i cant remember what they are made of…
lol…jenn u r too funny…yes bubble tea is quite delicious
team heidi? NOOOO!!
haha
she HAS been wearing her hair like that a lot lately…
love the outfit
They didn’t have to go “ew” and what’s your point girl? I called her a fool and what..
I didn’t know what it was either, but whatever. I don’t feel like a fool, you (Jenn) just seem stuck up. (Two can play in the “name calling” game)
Anywho, Lauren COnrad is the most boring girl to hit the planet.
I’m so sick of this hair do she does every day, and her hair looked better short. EW, LAUREN CONRAD.
It’s called Boba, dummies! It’s thai style green tea with milk and sweet tapioca balls. Are you all from hicktown?
being “cultured” doesn’t mean u know the name of every special tea/coffee/cocktail drink…it just means u eat out in restuarants a lot. ppl volunteering overseas are a whole lot “cultured” and i bet they wouldnt know the name of this drink..
anyways i think LC looks cute and healthy
I agree with Erika, just because someone doesn’t know what type of tea she is drinking does not mean they are uncultured. Boba…or bubble tea(whatever) is a fairly new drink, especially within American culture. Anyhow, I would say that she’s looking pretty fit these days. Oh and I love that dress!
Team LC!LOL
Yeah it’s bubble tea/boba! Which has been around for ages…
Either way, don’t insult it until you try it!
since when is bubble tea considered classy? we drink it in college. Get off your high horse
the girl who writes this is an absolute idiot and its bubble tea as said before.
::Edited because the comment and commenter is extremely ignorant::
wow, bananacookie managed to offend ALL of us, nice work. next time maybe you should work on finishing a sentence before you talk crap to everyone.
it’s called pearl tea. cultured? i hardly think so, i used to drink it in highschool and highschoolers are aren’t really the most worldly of people. YUM
it’s not from thailand it’s taiwan last i heard
i cannot stand LC. the hills portrays her as a freakin moron too (it does that too all of them actaully)
and what is up with her scrunched posture - almost like she is trying to make herself smaller than she is (?)
spanktacular, i totally agree.
i think they’re all morons….just stupid and lucky! I can’t believe the Hills is so popular- NOTHING EVER HAPPENS! I quickly tired of looking at prolonged glares with music playing.
I have never in my life heard of bubble tea! I guess I am a “hick”…sorry I don’t go to fancy restaurants much ya’ll
um ok bubble tea is an asian drink. she’s probably drinking a green tea kind. its not really a fancy restaurant drink, but most people need to be exposed a lot to chinese, filipino, vietnamese, etc… culture to know what it is. i recommend trying it. its actually quite delicious.
ha um newsflash its called green tea boba, not bubble tea.
bubble tea = super trendy.
LC always looks like a fat marcia brady to me.
It is actually Boba Tea, and it is Korean.
Mmmm, I love green tea bubble tea (what it looks like she had). Problem is, those little balls are all just starch and the tea is loaded with sugar, it’s yummy but not very healthy.
I can’t believe you people are actually having an argument over what tea the chick is drinking…Anyways, in my opinion, Lauren Conrad is very boring and there’s is absolutely nothing special about her face or body.
look at her just waving around that 20. damn. i just want to take her money.
I’ve also seen these drinks labeled as tapioca tea, pearl tea, and boba tea.
Yeah, you have every right to call that bubble tea nasty. It has tapioca in it, and it is darn gross.
definitely green tea flavoured bubble tea.
which is the freakin’ same thing as boba tea and pearl tea, alright, people?
i hate tapioca and i love the drink; so what?
if you haven’t had it before, i advise you to shut up.
I guess if the person is boring, talk about what they are drinking!
LOL @ Jenn’s first comment. I hate to admit this, but I agree with her!
I call it boba tea.
Anybody with any food cultural knowledge would know what that drink is (or has tried it). Like sushi, it’s been around for a while. As some posters said, high schoolers and college students drink it.
anyways.
Lauren Conrad is boring. There is nothing special about her face, she isn’t that pretty…I couldn’t pick her out of a crowd…or her body…so darn average. I don’t understand what the media is so obsessed with.
Um, I live in northeast Wisconsin and probably 95% of people here have never heard of bubble tea because the only place you can get it is in Madison and even there, there’s only one place that serves it. I’ve never had it but it looks nasty and I’m not in a hurry to try it. Looks like LC could switch her beverage to just plain green tea with no adverse consequences…she’s definitely not too skinny.
I think she is so pretty.
I think me and her are about the same size, and people tell me I’m skinny. Although I doubt any of you chicks on here would call me skinny. So critical ya know? haaaalkgbdbf
I think ya’ll would be suprised at how tiny she probally looks in person.
err…bubble tea is not the drink of the cultured, its just bubble tea…kind of like a milk shake…not very cultured…they sell it on every corner in canada
anyways, she looks good as usual.
slim but fit, not bony, i like it
I could give a rats-ass what she drinks.
I think it’s just the lighting that makes it green, it looks like an iced coffee to me. But she has the perfect tan!! ughh, so jealous.
its bubble tea!! yummm… guessing its honey dew
Haha, exactly Teed. Bubble Tea is like the beverage of choice for collegites. (Did I make that word up or is it real?)
normal weight, looks good
im sorry, when i see chocolate covered ants, i cant help but saying “Ew”.
damn, im uncultured (not)
avacado “BOBA” milk tea or the green tea one or honey dew…mmm
mostly asians drink it. its a vitnamese drink, the black balls are tapioca.
hmmm my guess is green tea boba with milk. haha. it does look pretty gross tho, lets me honest.
ya thats boba tea, and shes prob havin honey dew……….most likely the best drink ever made
Shes normal, cute, healthy and pretty IMO
thats green tea with either soy or whole milk and with bubble tapiocas
Apparently I am from hicktown, because I had no idea what that was until 20 of you claimed your superiority by telling me how foolish I am. WV doesn’t have that sort of thing…
Seems to me you must have a pretty small existence if your point of pride is knowing the name of a silly trendy drink.
OMG I love bubble tea! haha the little black things are balls of gelatin. It is such a fun drink. Sweet, tasty, and not too bad for you. Mmmmm
i love her. she looks cute!
She is drinking Boba , not bubble tea lol.
oh please ” anyone with class and culture” you wouldn’t know culture if it hit you on the head
Fat arms and gross knees.
i love her hair and she always has the cutest clothes
BUBBLE TEA!!!!
i live in LA and have never heard of “bubble tea” before.
im 99% sure that shes drinking green tea flavored boba
Haha oh my elyse- you are so right! Lauren looks just like marcia brady, although I have to say I don’t think there’s any way Lauren Conrad could be called fat. The girl is skinny, end of story.
She’s drinking a typical Taiwanese milk-tea drink. This one’s most likely green-tea flavored, and the brownish-looking balls at the bottom are Tapioca balls, mainly made of corn flour or starch. It’s soft but chewy, mildly sweetened with honey.
It actually tastes really good, sort of like a Starbucks Greentea Frap..
Mmmm.. Boba. I love it. I’ve made this drink myself. You can find everything you need for it at Lollicup.com Almond flavor is my fav!
Jenn, you don’t have to be so bloody rude. Did you ever stop to think that there are people on here from countries where this drink is relatively unheard of? I’m sure my country has many drinks/foods you have never heard of. So, I guess that makes you a fool too ey?
looks like matcha (=green tea) tapioca-tea to me! tasty
Im from the UK, and now forget what i was going to say about Lauren cos im too interested to know what Bubble Tea is?!?!?!?! We dont have that, but it sounds amazing!! Someone fill me in please!! x
it’s bubble tea you dummy!!
and bubble tea is delicious if you have a sweet tooth
@Spectra and Andrea… it seems to be a west coast thing mostly, or to have started there. Saw it in Vancouver 15 years ago, but not really in the east until a few years ago.
…came from Asia first and landed on the west coast…
This drink can either be called Bubble Tea or Boba. I am a great fan and addict of bubble tea! It’s really good and comes in many flavors. It can be prepared like a smoothie drink or just a regular drink. I recommend Taro Milkshake (the smoothie kind) or Honey Milktea (regular drink) with lychee jelly! You can have it prepared with half the sugar.
So for all that were confused about the drink, there you go and you should def. try it out!
P.S. Lauren looks healthy and normal. Cute outfitt.
oh and I’ve always thought Lauren looks like Kate Middleton (?) - just a blonde version. Yenno the girl Prince William is dating.
Technically it is “bubble tea,” however most vendors refer to it as “boba tea” or “pearl tea.” Boba is actually the name of the tapioca balls, which are optional when ordering. I am Asian and have been exposed to this delicious drink since I was little, although the boba pearls are a choking hazard for small children.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_Tea
And she is definitely not fat. She’s surprisingly pretty tiny in person.
fat
Wow she really bubbled up. She should lose some weight or she is going to become too heavy!!
Some of the peope here really need to get over themselves. It’s actually called pearl milk tea and is a traditional asian drink that is becoming a trend in Western countries where they call it bubble tea.
If you seriously think knowing the name of the newest craze in America makes you ‘cultured’ then YOU are the hick. It’s obviously not sold as heavily in different parts of America and I doubt many of u knew what it was before they sold it in your town.
OMG EVERYONE!!! did you all miss this phenomenon? she has a NEW chanel purse! this is the first time since she popped up on the TV scene i’ve seen her carrying something other than that black, cambon chanel tote.
but ugh, i can’t stand this chick! just rubs me the wrong way. her fashion sense is boring and ordinary yet she insists on claiming she’s as eclectic as the Olsen twins. bleh!
I looove her hair that way - and what a nice tan!
HAHAHA SOME of these comments are SO funny! ‘fat Marcia Brady’ - too funny!!
And the whole ‘you’re not classy if you don’t know what this drink is’ - is ridiculous. I consider myself ‘classy’ and I have NO clue what the heck this drink is. I’m on the east coast if that matters..
Sophie and Andrea, ditto. Apparently I will never be as classy and worldly as your average uber-trendy abercrombie teenager.
Anyways, I hope Conrad reads all the threads about her and realizes iced green beverages are a thousand times more exciting and controversial than she’ll ever be.
Lauren is a very pretty girl, with a healthy weight. She is short, 5′4, and has a long torso/short legs, so legs/hips/butt are obviously her problem area. But she is very attractive. Love her new haircut.
WAIT! Hold the phone, I am so confused, who was first to post? Without the now obligatory ‘FIRST!’ comment I feel like the world has been blown upside down! HELP ME
and LOL at all you “tea experts”… it doesn’t take a genious to use google, and if drinking that muck makes you cultured in some way, then more power to you! I for one will stick with my espresso
Oh now I see, by simply scrolling to the top of the posts I am able to see who was first to post, its the top comment right? Great now I can note it down in my note book for future reference because I care so f**king much!
OK, the bubble/boba tea has 200-450 calories per serving! Maybe she should lay off that for a little while and we’ll soon be reading how she lost 20 lbs.
what on earth happened to her short hair?
it looked much better.
looks like Nicole Richie’s hair and sunglasses - i like Lauren’s style, it’s classy but young, no boobies or neither regions on display and she’s a “normal size” woman
SHES DRINKING BOBA TEA!
i loveee that stuff, it’s so good.
She’s such a bore. And she’s a nasty girl! She is a jealous friend who will never get over her friends having boyfriends. She needs Lo because Lo will forever be single and never leave her side.
She also wears that skirt ALL the time, and the same thing in white too.
Her weight is normal. She is not as thin as she was for a little while there.
what’s a bubble tea? Is it like the green tea??
Boba, bubble, it’s the same thing. it originated in Taiwan and is all over the place now. There’s a vendor on every corner in Hong Kong, kinda like Starbucks here. Of course Westerners have taken it and stripped it of nutritional value and added all these stupid-ass flavors. Think about it, people. It’s not exactly healthy… tapioca balls and sugar.. what a way to ruin tea. GROSS
Bubble tea, such a gross drink.Fat legs, btw. The skirt does nothing good.
LC is an idiot. And her fashion line was TERRIBLE. So i hate to have to admit that I actually really like the clothes she wears 99% of the time.
Andrea, WV does have Bubble Tea. There’s a cafe in Morgantown called Bubble Shiaku that specializes in bubble/boba drinks.
ok nice that some of you went to research the drink, no one calls it pearl milk tea or bubble tea. its a damn boba tea! i have alot of asian friends and my boyfriend is asian and not one of them calls it bubble tea or pearl. and for you sushi lovers out there, sorry to burst your bubble but its so americanized its not even funny. your not even eating the real thing. Sorry I get so mad because people think they’re eating something authenic and go and brag about it but they’re just experiencing the watered down version. Uhh! I should jut be a food critic. sorry lol.
hahaha… that was basically the most amazing comment ever.
haha gawd damn it. I’m so bored at work. There needs to be a chat room on this site.
That’s what i’ve always thought. Two boring, average looking and dressing girls.
Thanks for pointing out what the green drink is! Never heard of it - sorry to offend the bubble-tea fanatics out there.
i’m now changing my name to boba fan
bubble tea is amazing
ROFL at those who equated bubble tea with class and culture. I seriously hope they were kidding. I’ve never had any desire to try it. Tapioca balls in tea sounds sick.
I love the skirt she is wearing.
i’d rather eat pink berry every day than boba drinks. i wish there was a pink berry in arizona
Bubble (Boba) Tea is classy? Who knew?!
The reason why some of you may not have seen it is that it’s mostly sold in areas where there is a large Asian population (i.e. West coast). It started it Taiwan and I’ve seen it around San Francisco for at least 7 years.
The balls are tapioca (not gelatin for you vegetarians) and my local Bubble Tea joint now has stars and cubes to choose from. They are about 400 calories but some of the more progessive tea places have started making the tea with Splenda. It comes in every imaginable flavour from avocado to chocolate.
Why do I know all this? I’m, ummm, a recovering addict! ^_^
Wow she is chubby no wonder she hates Heidi!!!!(lol) She has pretty hair but better lay off the high calorie drinks LC your thighs are rubbing together. Just thought you should know.
its bubble tea-and its actually really delish.
i love to drink it during the summer!
ciao bella, I don’t live in morgantown, and if you know anything about WV you know that Morgantown is an island, culturally speaking. Most of Morgantown is made up of kids from Jersey. The rest of the state is not remotely similar.
Its bubble tea (sometimes pearl tea) the little balls are tapioca : )
I’m studying abroad in Beijing right now, and even guys over here don’t drink THAT much of it (cups should be smaller)
each tapioca ball has about 10 cals, & a drink that big probably 400 calories at least…
The “bubbles” or “pearls” are tapioca balls. And it’s delicious!! The reason why people ignorant of this drink are considered uncultured is because it is Chinese. And, if you still have no clue what this is (being sold practically in every Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant), you probably are uncultured, and need to venture out more or live in a mostly homogeneous community where this is not available. Either way, uncultured is right.
seriously its called bubble tea, i drink it everyday here in asia, just get over it. why argue over bubble tea and boba tea!??!?!?!
Andrea, you are so right about Morgantown! I live 10 minutes outside of Charleston and can’t stand the people that come back to visit after they’ve gone to “mo-town” for a month. It must be some kind of boba tea complex…”drink this much, become Hollywood-douche immediately!” That should be this tea’s slogan!
Wow. I love how you’re all fighting over the name of her drink. (Then again, the drink is probably more exciting and tolerable than LC…) Ok, little girls, those who do not live in bigger areas or frequently travel may not know the names of the drinks. There’s no need to get all nasty, catty, and high school on them. It really does nothing but make you look, well, nasty, catty, and high school.
That being said, the boba tea/pearl tea/bubble tea she is drinking does LOOK foul, but it is actually really good when made right.
she’s beautiful and very cute, her body is healthy and toned and her face is so pretty and sweet, I love her!!she reminds me of nicole richie in 2005…
I prefer hot tea.
I like her sunglasses.
Lauren is 100% real, and Heidi should take a lesson. LC is so hot, alll my guy friends would take her ANY day over a sickly skinny fake dumb girl. Thanks for being a good role model Lauren, dont stop eating. Youre gorgeous!
It’s called bubble tea on the east coast, boba on the west. Ugh. And knowing what it is does NOT make you more cultured than somone who deosn’t. Many smaller towns that don’t have a large Asian population (I’m betting about 90% of America) don’t have it.
And it’s liquid candy, nutrionally speaking. Might as well go around saying that you’re so much more “cultural” because you walk around eating a bag of M&Ms.
Andrea, I just thought you would like to know I was born and raised in WV about 30 min. from Morgantown. What a beautiful city!! I live in Fl. and Mi. now but still love WV. Just wanted to share that with you…
Lauren Conrad is not skinny, and she never, ever will be. Its not in her body type. She’s not fat, eiter, just not very shapely at all.
BOOOORRRRING- I don’t understand the obsession. She looks kinda cute here, though. The way money can make anyone look, really.
Love her outfit. Would look better on me though
Lost 15 pounds drinking that gree tea boba, without the cream..
I used to work for a bubble tea place in college…it is so good but really high in calories/carbs!
I used to work for a bubble tea place in college…it is so good but really high in calories/carbs!
ITS HONEY DEW BUBBLE TEA AND ITS NOT AWFUL
Ok, I saw immediately she was drinking bubble tea which interested me. Then I read the arguement about bubble tea, and are you guys serious? Your going to down talk a person simply because they havent been to China Town recently to learn about bubble tea? And jesus, I am pretty sure most americans have learned TONS of names for different objects changes depending on what region you are in, so bubble tea, boba, pearl tea, yada yada big deal, why are we getting 4th graders going “phssshhh, its bobaaaaaaaa lmao lmao lmao you pplz r duumbbb” people deal with the name changes.Really what I wanted to add in though was does anyone REALLY know where this drink comes from? The first time *I* ever drank it was actually in Tokyo near the Tokyo Tower. Then I came back to Seattle and went to China Town and saw advertisments there in a couple stores and freaked out because that drink is down right amazing, espically if you are smart enough to get any flavor NOT green tea (I love GT, but not for bubble tea). Sooo since I’ve drank it originally in Japan but seen it at several different countries shops in chinatown…where did it come from?
she is drinking bubble tea. It is good. you get it at asian restaurants.
boba/bubble tea is good if you like sweets, it is basically big tapioca balls.
It’s crazy popular in California, you see them everywhere and they have been around for a really long time.
It does have a lot of calories though, but so yummy!
Especially in Thai Ice Tea or Green Tea
I loooove Lauren very much, and she is eating healthy. But who the hell cares, what she drinks on the pic,ha>??I don’t care bubble tee or what…I love her style. And people from L.A.: don’t think u r more than other people, cuz u r from that city and probably u know ,what that drink is.Take a book and read some interesting!!!
