Jack Black Update

He looks as though he has piled on the pounds in recent months… not that I can recall him ever being all that fit!

He is so freaking funny that I don’t care what he looks like.
Funny, a man with a beer belly and not one negative comment, and Lilly Allen is commented on as having fat calves and so on. Yes, the double standard is alive and well people.
Well, everything he is wearing is ugly. But he is not so fat that he can’t get away with it yet if he was better dressed.

Not into chubby men, but he’s really funny. I wouldn’t be surprised if his significant other were super hot. Most women fall in love with fun guys who make them laugh, and are not necessarily Mr. Universe material.
Many women also fall for fat guys with lots of money. lol.. He looks as fat and out of shape as ever. It’s no surprise when you look at the stuff he puts in his body.
He’s a very funny guy. I don’t find him the least bit attractive, but really enjoy his brand of potty humor.
I guess I’m the only one that finds his style obnoxious and grating. He did look intriguing in Margot At The Wedding though- anyone see that?
The difference between someone like Jack Black and Lily Allen is he is not trying to sell himself as a sexpot..he’s a talented, funny guy who happens to be chubby and that’s just who he is, take him or leave him. Now if Brad Pitt or George Clooney gained a bunch and tried to pull of their usual swagger cocky man role, we would rake them over the coals just as much as the women yo-yoers. It’s not a man vs. woman thing..it’s an image thing.
i think it is soo annoying that male leads in movies can look so unfit (jack black, will ferrell, those fat guys who are in EVERY apatow film) yet females get critiqued for having a little bit of meat on them. For example? Katherine Heigl had to lose weight for Knocked up, even though its obvious she was pretty fit to begin with. And her male co-star was safely in the “overweight” category. Ugh.

He was GORGEOUS in that, with so much style and class and he was a lot thinner, clean shaven, very sexy.

I like him, too. I guess we aren’t as critical of the men as we are of the women who are trying to hard or at least should be.
With the blond hair, he kinda looks like Guy Fieri from the Food Network. He’s never been exactly THIN or anything…I can’t tell if he’s gained or not, but he’s not super huge yet. Just kind of teddy-bear-chubby.

He is filming or was filming a movie in Santa Fe where I live and I ran into him at my favorite restaurant, literally ran into him by accident. This was just a few weeks ago, maybe 3 weeks, and he really didn’t look fat at all, just a little bigger-built. He actually looked pretty cute, groomed, and nice.
He couldn’t have carried that to the car without the cart…..Fatty!
He doesn’t need to be in shape-he’s a man. I know that sounds sexist but it is a fact of life whether people like it or not.
holy mother, lily allen was not trying to sell herself as a sexpot, do any of you realise that any female celebrity gets that hoisted upon her wether she likes it or not?! THAT is the root of the double standard. any girl remotely attractive is criticised for daring to show her face in the limelight and not be a ‘perfect’ object. whereas guys like jack black are FAR from male perfection but are still considered by many to be likeable.
any girl who shows her face in the limelight and is NOT close to the attractive standard is pretty much ignored and has to fight so damn hard to be acknowledged for what she wants to be known for - her talent.
i despair at our hypocrisy sometimes.
