It could be my imagination, but she looks to have gained a bit of weight.

Slouching gives her the illusion of chubby arms. Good posture takes about 10 pounds off - not that she needs to. That dress is desperately calling out for some straps though.

She is one of the MOST overrated celebs EVER. She looks so average to me, and she has the widest shoulder blades in life! (Plus, she’s vitually talentless- no talent, average looks. Why should I care?)

She looks big boned here and she’s posing like the diminutive olsen twins, which works for them in that skinny high fashion way, but for McPhee it just makes her arms look huge.

She does look like to have put on a little weight. The problem with us apple shapes is that if we put on a little weight it immediately looks like we’re 5 or 10 pounds heavier than we really are. That said, that dress is doing her absolutely no favors.

Her weight has fluctuated a bit since we were first introduced to her on AI. Which makes me wonder whether her “body issues” really are a thing of the past like she says. (Not that they ever really go away, like most of us know firsthand).

To “the Biggest Loser”- I don’t think I understand your comment, really. But I think its obvious that she’s not that toned (arms, no calf definition). Besides all of that, my whole point is- she’s really not that extra pretty. She’s nothing special.
If you’re brunette, tall-ish, and not fat, you could have this EXACT same look. If 50% of the population could look like you, then you’re average…. like McPhee…

she’s a pretty girl, but definitely nothing special. i do think she’s gained some weight, but if she’s happy thats all that matters. the dress is pretty though. i think its good though if she’s handling her weight well, especially seeing she had been battling bulimia for so long. she just needs to stand up straight. lol. bad posture.

Her shoulders, arms, and general upper body looks a bit heavy compared to her legs. Her strange pose in the last two pictures could exlain that possibly.

People need to cut her some slack. She’s still beutiful. She’s ever so slightly bigger and softer than before, but nowhere near chubby or thick, or big boned. Give her a month of hitting the gym, and a lower carb diet, and she’ll be red carpet ready in less than a month.

She needs to work out too. What’s with the curves without muscle tone look these days? I think celebrities are trying to make a point that “women need curves”, but I think that them getting fat is only making a lot of girls want to NOT be fat because it looks WORSE than when they were wearing smaller sizes. This girl is nowhere near chubby. She looks like she is at a healthy, normal weight. I find it worrying that some women would look at her and think that she is too big.
We have all been bombarded with images of superskinny celebrities who are ILL. Unfortunately we now seem to live in a world where a healthy, beautiful young girl is criticised and those who punish their bodies and their minds by depriving themsleves of food and push their bodies to the limit are praised.

For once,…… I like her in this picture. I have always hated her ever since her, “oh, I was bulimic” thing, which seemed like such a publicity stunt to me. Plus, she’s not a “I had to work so hard to get where I am” sort of story. She’s had it pretty damn good.
I never found her all that attractive. However, here, for some reason, I really think she looks just gorgeous and gracefully beautiful. Perhaps, it’s because I see some humility and humbleness in her face, for the first time.

She used to be bulimic, but she’s recovered from that. I think people should give her a little slack…all she needs is more pressure to become unhealthy again. She’s not even fat! Her arms are softer, so maybe she shouldn’t do the strapless look though.

I think she’s very pretty. As far as whether she gained weight or not, i have no idea. All i know was that during her American Idol days, many men that i know(mine included) thought she was HOT! She definitely is much prettier than Kelly Clarkson & Carrie Underwood. I saw pics of her from not too long ago & she had great legs, long & shapely.

It’s strange,because last night I was on another gossip website and they said she looked way thinner, and compared to Hilary Duff (at the same event) it made Hilary look larger, which she is not.
I have to agree with the other website though, I don’t think she looks to have gained weight.
She ad an eating disorder once didn’t she? Knowing someone with an eating disorder, or someone who has had it (me), she probably didn’t eat for a couple of days before this event to look good.
In any case, I think she looks great.

Katherine looks beautiful….but I do agree with kiki…her slouched pose isn’t working for her…it works for the twig-like Olsen Twins…but NOT for Katherine. The slouch adds a “look of weight gain”. She may have gained a couple pounds but she looks awesome. Now that she is a married lady, she probably won’t focus as much on working out, and eating just certain types of foods to keep her weight down, etc. As long as she stays at her current weight (even if she may have gained a few)…she is beautiful.

For those who’ve asked where she’s been, she’s been in the studio, recording her sophomore album, produced by David Foster, to be released later this year.
