she has gained ALOT of weight since her modeling days…..it goes to show that she wasnt naturally thin back in the day, and her figure was due to dieting, and working out.

It wasn’t that she wasn’t naturally thin. A lot of women just put on weight as they age into their thirties. It was probably a combination of less strict dieting AND getting older.
Elle, it’s just my opinion and it has nothing to do with the rest of non-Hollywood America.
Tyra sometimes shows a photo of herself (on the talk show) when she was 12 years old and at the same height she is now. But, she has retained the same height but has doubled her weight in the last 22 years. A part of that has gone into her boobs which have always been large for a model.
I. Hate. Her.
It has nothing to do with her face. It has nothing to do with her career. It doesn’t even have to do with her weight (which some would argue that this venue is for weight issues only. but I need an outlet to express my disgust- bare with me).
She is flat-out annoying. And arrogant. The personality of a cocky warthog.
Wake me when she chokes to death on an eclair.
Also Elle, the rest of America is clinically overweight. Plus Tyra has admitted many times to having a weakness for unhealthy foods - fried and sweet. With issues like that, of course she’s always going to struggle w/ her weight.
That said, she looks average here. Not fat. Not good. Average.

I find Tyra annoying & arrogent, but be for real. She does not look average. If you saw her walking down your block, you’d stare. She’s very pretty.
And I know I may the ONLY one on here is doesn’t have a perfect diet , but I think she looks fine. After I mourned over her model body & how gorgeous it was, I got over it. Because @ the end of the day, its not my business. Its hers, and whoever sees her naked.
Maybe I’m growing up or something, IDK.

Compared to other models she is a bit bigger. But compared to regular people she’s gorgeous! My brother in law just saw her recently at the mall he works at in LA and he said she was breathtaking!
Honestly, if we all had teams of people designed to primp us before going in public, most of us would look pretty good.
I never imagined her having a boyfriend, I always thought of her like a seawitch or a black widow or something.

I’m so sick of hearing people say she’s fat. Just because she’s not an anorexic twig like the rest of Hollywood doesn’t mean she’s “fat”. She’s a curvy woman and looks great.

sarahdarnit - you are absolutley WRONG! She was a total stick figure as a child. Seriously, I saw pictures, it was scary skinny, even for a child. She was naturally gangly. Now that she’s nearly 40 shes filled out! She’s still thin, she’s almost 6 ft and 150-160lbs! I don’t think fat is a word any where near her vicinity. Plus she is GORGEOUS and photogenic as hell. Go Tyra!!

She was sort of a late bloomer…she USED to be naturally skinny when she was in her growth spurt. She’s like 5′10″ and when she was 12 or so she was super skinny…110 lbs or so. She looked really weird, but then she filled out and I think the 160ish lbs she’s at now is probably where her body wants to be. She’s definitely got curves. That being said, I don’t think she’s spectacularly pretty, just kind of different-looking, which is probably why she was a model.
I’m addicted to ANTM, but I find her annoying as hell. I do think she’s average now- I wouldn’t stare at her on the street if she wasn’t famous because I don’t think she’s pretty. With her money she should look better- her hair always looks horrid, and her makeup is often drag-ish.
SHe looks like she has death-laser eyes. I can’t stand how she tells people to embrace themselves the way they are, but she’s got a new wig for every day of the year.

she isn’t paid to be thin anymore, she’s paid to talk, and to talk about how everyone should except their bodies no matter their size.
so if she wants to eat fried chicken and have some donuts, go for it girl.

Besides that she is beyond annoying on her stupid show. . . and she can’t interview with a darn. She is one of those people who should have stayed a model (if she could keep the weight off) instead of opening her mouth and showing her ignorance.

ok. Really I have been right next to Tyra ( I worked with her on her show) and she still has a really flat stomach…BUT she is MEAN and really bitter, and you can see that in her eyes in her picture. It almost makes me frightened to see her look at the camera like this.
