Kirstie Alley Has Gained Again

starcover-176.jpg

A recent issue of Star Magazine is ever-so-kindling suggesting that Kirstie Alley has gained some of her lost weight back.

For once, a tabloid seems to be correct! Here is a picture of Kirstie Alley out and about in Los Feliz, CA this past weekend, looking as though she has definitely gained some poundage back.

Star is guesstimating that Kirstie has gained back a whopping 75 pounds (since her slimmest weight in March 2006) and is back up to 220 pounds…

I guess this goes to show that dieting doesn’t really work long term… only a true lifestyle change does!

What do YOU all think?

    Wow she looks huge.

  • Jodi |

    What a floppy harridan.

  • louisemiller |

soo sad for Kirstie. she looked great when she lost. i have a feeling this is it for her and she won’t lose it again. sad

  • Genevieve Jules |

Oh Kirstie girl, what is happening with you? I remember you back in your heyday, when you were so lovely on ‘Cheers’ with your dark brown hair, pretty eyes, and wonderful figure. Where did it all go wrong? And why Kirstie, why?

  • Linda |

    she’s hot actually

  • Teed |

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. She looks like she’s gained a lot of the weight back…that just sucks. She’s still beautiful to me anyway.

  • lily |

it seems to me that she has more than just weight problems…get a dog Kirstie and run with him 3 times a day, and every spare time you have, spend on shops, hell you dont have to buy anything just go in circles.you will loose those pounds.it works

  • Alyssa |

She used to be ridiculously slim in the 80s..look at her in Star Trek 2…
Look, she’s older now, and probably has some hormone imbalance which probably doesn’t help.PLus, she lives in teh USA - whoch apparently has NO healthy food anywhere…

    no. more. po_p up ad_s!!!!

  • bSL |

I think she weighs more than 220 lbs.

  • utahaugust |

Wowza. That is inspiration to not overeat today. Thank you Kirstie.

  • Meg |

Nope, dieting doesn’t work. You know what does work? Loving yourself and living an active, happy life. I truly hope Kirstie realizes this soon.

  • angela |

she was thin in the 80’s due to a coke habit.

  • Spectra |

Yeah, when she was super skinny in the 80’s it was because she was on cocaine. She’s kind of a yo-yo dieter but she tends to settle at a higher weight. She’s like Delta Burke…she can GET skinny, but she’s definitely gonna have to work her ass off to stay there. I kind of feel bad for her. I’m sure she went off the Jenny Craig food and just went back to eating her old favorites instead of eating the kinds of foods that they tell you to eat on Jenny. My mom is a lot like Kirstie…she’s really good at losing weight, but once she’s off the diet, she gains it back again. It’s a vicious cycle…hopefully Kirstie finds something that will work for her long-term.

  • breads |

I never understand what kind of junk someone must be putting in their body to get this big…does she just eat lard?
I am not even saying we all have to exercise but eat good food and don’t eat at every waking moment of the day.

  • Jessica |

WOW SHE GAINED A LOT… THAT’S NOT HEALTHY!

  • Mouse |

Obviously she has no commitment to health and wellness. Maintaining is SOOO much easier than taking it off, but only if you don’t go back to eating what you did to put the weight on.

  • Petal |

I feel sorry for her, too. It must be hard to be that heavy. It’s probably challenging walking up flights of stairs, or any activity that healthy people may take for granted.

  • andrea |

I’m pretty sure she’s got emotional issues that cause her to eat. Until she sorts that out, I doubt dieting will do any good.

  • Elaine |

I think that “heavy” is her natural weight. Some folks are just like that. She could stand to lose about 20 pounds health wise yet still be heavy without it being dangerous.
    I’m grateful that I’m slender.

  • Frankie |

at least take care of ur hair! it’s ur body, ur health and not for anyone!
why so greasy and bad??and what is that horrible animal print style???

  • Beth |

I have lost 220 pounds and kept it off with diet and exercise. No one can possibly tell me it’s impossible. She just needs to exercise some self-control. Fad diets and programs don’t work. You just need to make up your mind that you’re sick of being fat and do something about it.

  • lambman |

the thing is even at her thinnest she was never attractive or funny

  • yeahwhazup |

eww! it seems like she will never even be remotely healthy ever again. shes clearly a serious yo-yo dieter that just loves eating a gallon of ice cream everyday.

  • d |

    She used to be hot.

  • size--0 |

    well….as long as she’s happy, doesn’t matter

  • LisaR |

Um, did anyone expect anything less of her? She’s a YO-Yoer. She’s been losing and gaining for years.

  • angelique |

Wow..she must feel like an idiot now for making such a big hoo-ha about her weight loss and her self-control.

  • zoey |

I’m sorry, but I just don’t think she has any self control. And when she gives up, she really goes for it…it’s one thing to gain weight, but why does she go out with her hair hanging ragged like that? The look just screams “I don’t care about myself”

  • Maxx05 |

She’s another crazy Scientologist, guess Tom will have to ask Xenu to help her to lose the chubs she’s put on.

  • Maria |

    what is she wearing?
yes, of course she has gained. she obviously has a hard time giving up her old habits and crash dieting will not last for long. i should feel sorry but i don’t, i just can’t stand people who go public with their diets all the time, and then don’t even have the discipline to keep the weight off..

  • saintdevil |

I think it needs a mixture of genes and undisciplined eating to become really fat.

And it’s really stupid to think if you go on a diet for a few weeks and shed your excess weight you can go back to your normal lifestyle and still live slim and trim ever after.

  • Biggest LOSER |

maybe she’s sick or something.. give her a break

  • alissa |

    huu caresss???????????

  • poops |

So, according to the numbers she was 145lbs in March of ‘06?

With one foot on the scale?

I think she said that she was 170lbs when she was shaking her bikini clad junk in front of Oprah.

    Even that was a stretch…

  • ValerieSara |

You never read much about her personal life and what’s going on in it: Married? Kids? She smiles but always looks sad. :(

  • ERIKA |

she obviously has an eating disorder

  • ERIKA |

she obviously has an eating disorder

  • Nata |

ok, first off, no way in hell she weighed 145 at her jenny craig peak (she’s 5′8!). She probably gained back 75 but is more like 250 now.

  • Amana |

I wish she would brush her hair… its not really that much effort and it would make her look 100x better!

  • Megan |

    Diets don’t work.

  • JazaLynn |

She is disgusting!!! She DEF weighs more than 220 . LOL-and maybes she sick? HAH - mentally SICK - that bitch looks like she hasn’t showered in days! GROSS

  • PoliteTia |

Jenny Craig is just bogus! Remember the computer enhanced photos of Monica Lewinski. She didn’t loose weight with that crap either. By the way, sizes are numbers not and not adjective phases, like size Gidget.

  • Duvessa |

I think no matter what her weight, there is not reason to go out in public looking like that. She needs to put some effort into her hair, make-up and clothes. Lots of people have weight issues, you don’t have to look like a slob because of it.

  • Lucy |

Oh my god, terrible-what a fat whale.

  • happy mom |

does anyone else think she might just be sabotaging jenny craig? since they dumped her for valerie bertinelli?

i was also thinking that kirstie was supposed to be doing her own line of diet tools in the future. maybe this is all just business to her.

  • FW |

i think she has definately been creeping back up the scales - it’s sad that she can’t get herself together

  • tina |

    I agree with Erika!

It’s ashame, she prob has some real issues with food and weight… I hope she gets better and healthier.

  • Zita |

Alhtough her fat gain, she looks gorgeous. She is a very beautiful woman.

  • Mouse |

For real, Beth? Wow you are an inspiration. Seriously that’s amazing. Yeah, you have to want to it and change your lifestyle as well as relationship with food.

I’ve watched my employee, who’s 4′11″ and pushing 200 lbs over the last few years try every ‘diet’ in the book. Very yoyo, but never dealt with her food obsession - literally drooling at the site of food she couldn’t eat and her eyes maniacally fixated on it.

  • ml-rb |

Wow–maybe she should just do the lap band or gastric bypass. That is, if losing the weight is that important to her–she may be happier bigger…

  • Spectra |

Beth–wow, you go girl! I lost 90 lbs myself and I also will tell people it is definitely NOT impossible to do it. You do need to change your eating and exercise habits, but to me, it’s either that or be fat and I choose to be thin and work at it. I kind of wonder if Jenny Craig actually even works for anyone permanently. It seems like it works as long as you buy their “Jenny food”, but I don’t think they work too hard at getting people to transition into buying real food for the rest of their lives. Maybe that’s why their new ad campaign is so NOT size-oriented…”a size surfer girl, a size healthier, etc.” They KNOW they’re program is bogus.

  • jerishere |

as far as i’m concerned, kirstie is a woman just like the rest of us… her issues are more public than the rest of us so there’s more pressure for her but i would like to see her dress up a bit more nicely though…gaining weight doesn’t mean she should stop trying completely…sheesh

  • Sarah |

At 5′8″, she DEFINITELY weighs more than 220lbs.

  • Erica |

Yeah, she looks about 220, I know two girls who are and they look kinda the same.. she was totally never 145!

  • coppergirl |

happy mom, I think you are on to something. lmao thinking about her porking up to sabotage Jenny Craig.

  • Ashybebe810 |

She lost it so fast, it’s an OBVIOUS will-gain-it-back method.

I really hope the new girl for Jenny Craig will get fat again. I would LOVE that.

It’s too bad.. I LOVE KIRSTIE. I wish people wouldn’t make fun of her so much, she can’t help it.

  • #1 |

I do not think she has gained back all or even most of the weight she lost. She is heavier on the bottom and always has been. I think she looks happy and healthy and that people should quit hating on her.

  • Swanhilda |

When diets are too extreme, as Kirstie’s was for her, your survival instinct will kick in and cause you to binge on all sorts of things that you wouldn’t believe you would ever otherwise eat. Some people can diet for really long periods of time and then all of a sudden the diet flies out the window because all of that pent-up hunger, stored in the body in biochemical form, will cause you to eat like there’s no tomorrow, and gain all your recently lost weight right back.(See Delta Burke, Janet Jackson, Oprah, Sally Struthers, Keeley Shay-Smith, Kirstie, among others, and have you seen Cher lately? Basically, the type of people you see on those celebrity fitclub shows who were once thin, and now fat) But the diet and fitness industry wants you to become hooked on a diet and for you to torture yourself at a gym so you can’t have a real life. They want you to keep starving yourself, so that you will binge and gain weight so that you will “need” them. They want to stay in business afterall. Why do you think that weight watchers offers a lifetime program? Because after you lose the weight your survival instinct will kick in because of the extreme calories you deprived your body, and you will need to go back. Going on a diet in the first place is how this hell all begins. Because your body will sense a famine from lack of food. Then, if you step it up and start over-exercising, that is even a more severe famine environment. When your body can no longer take it, your survival instinct will over-power you into eating the highest fat/highest sugar foods available to you, because it needs it. And of course the metabolism slows and the binge food will get stored as fat, making it even harder to shed pounds. Of course the diet & fitness industry doesn’t want you to know this, because they need your$$$!! But scratch your head and think about why binge-eating is the most reported eating disorder in America. Hmmmmm…..Bingeing isn’t normal. It is the result of dieting. This is why Kirstie is where she is today. Starting her own diet company is not the answer.

  • Persephone |

If you really want to know what I think, then I think she is huge. Her leg is almost the smae size as my entire body and that is just damned gross. I also think that she should be careful with the animal prints, particularly in the woods or the jungle.

  • Dana Lennon |

    no. more. po_p up ad_s!!!!

i agree and people should leave her alone.
she is a human being with feelings and we have to believe in her.

  • Sandy Beck(Kirstie lookalike) |

I think she never lost as much weight as they said on Jenny Craig. I wish she would keep the weight off as she looks so much better but still is a beautiful woman either way.
