A Gossip Girl Mega Post
Category: Misc Celebs & Diet News, Blake Lively, Gossip Girl, Leighton MeesterSeveral of the beautiful young ladies from the hit show Gossip Girl made an appearance at the “CW Network 2008 Upfronts” event at the Lincoln Center yesterday.
In my humble opinion, none of these girls seem to be overly thin or scary skinny… unlike some actresses from other shows. In fact, when watching the show, these girls appear vibrant and healthy. So here are some photos of Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Michelle Trachtenberg (who recently joined the cast) and Taylor Momsen (who is only 14, so please keep that in mind if making comments about her!)

Blake always looks way too old for her age but I think she’s got great legs.
And I will admit- I saw a bit of the show the other night and while Michelle T. has got a gorgeous face with stunning eyes, I had to smile when I realized she wasn’t perfect. Her legs are quite the tree trunks!
I have nothing to say about Taylor.
They all look great. Healthy, fit, vibrant … no pale, sickly Kate Bosworths here.

The first girl (Leighton?) looks amazing and attractive, especially in the first picture but also in the 2nd. The 14 year old girl looks a lot older!! Looks like she will have a great figure when she’s older then.
They look really healthy…slim, yet not overly skinny. Go Michelle for not falling prey to the whole tanorexic trend. Her skin looks so nice in it’s natural porcelain state. And I can’t believe Taylor’s only 14! She looks so much older than that.
LM’s dress is adding inches to her hips. I hate when dress do that. BL looks older than she probably is and looks like maybe a big size 4. they all look great except for that dress.
Okay, so the kid who’s 14 needs a pedicure. That’s all I’m going to say.

They’re all gorgeous, but Leighton and Blake look especially amazing!! If only Hollywood was filled with actresses that had bodies like these girls (read: healthy, normal, beautiful), the world would be a better place

My sister was there and had the chance to meet them all and said that Taylor Momsen was scary skinny which she doesn’t look like in these pictures-but the camera does add ten pounds!

Taylor has the best legs? Wow, that’s a scary statement. Too thin, not shapely at all, and her skin looks bruised and transparent…not pale but thin, the kind of skin that will look like hell in 5 years…when they turn into veiny, lumpy old lady legs. And to be so slender, she kind of has cankles. There’s no definition where the ankles should be.

blake and leighton have such gorgeous legs!!! lovely curves too, although leighton is quite small in the chest area. michelle has a nice figure i guess, but nothing special. and taylor is just too skinny. hopefully after the age of 14 she’ll look more womanly. blake and leighton have such gorgeous, unique and interesting faces. i am addicted to the show!!

Ok you know what? it is not fair AT ALL to make comments about Taylor. She is 14 and STILL GROWING. I can’t believe she was posted.Who knows how she’ll turn out when she’s older, she might surprise people. I think Leigton has a really cute face, Blake is beautiful and their bodies are well…not sickly skinny or big, just right.

Blake and Leighton are gorgeous love them. Michelle is fug, but she does make the show interesting. jenny is annoying on the show, and shes 14, pretty much all 14-yr-olds are skinny.
Do they look healthy, yes perhaps they fall within the ‘normal’ bmi range, if not closer to the low end of that scale, and while that may be an ideal, it is most likely not attainable for the large number of fans. These girls are all beyond attractive, with their professional make up and designer clothing, it is unrealistic for an average individual with an average body to even hope to look like them. So no, they aren’t.
Not the best outfit I’ve seen on Leighton which is a shame as she’s usually spot on. I think Taylor looks pretty and age appropriate, although perhaps a little less make-up? Blake and Michelle both look divine.

Taylor looks the best body and weight wise. Michelle I like, but unfortunately she seems to carry weight in the legs. I’d say it would be great if she lost some more, but it might be hard for her to lose it where she needs to. Too bad.
blake’s figure is perfection. michelle *almost* has cankles, but otherwise IMO she has absolutely perfect curves. taylor is adorable, if she weren’t 14 i’d say too thin but she clearly had a growth spurt recently and it’ll take her years to fill out her adult body. leighton is cute but boring to me when she’s not styled up as blair.

I think Leighton Meester has the best arms and is quite pretty. Blake Lively has the best body overall but something about her bugs me lol… Michelle Trachtenburg is prettiest but soo white and strange calves. Taylor is cute and still young so we’ll have to see..
They look great. Fit and healthy and not too thin. Good role models and not at all unattainable bodies - the majority of teenage girls/early 20s look very much like that anyway bodywise.
Taylor is very young so I’ll allow her to look very thin and a bit gawky.

Why are people slating Michelles figure? Sure she has curves but not in an unpleasant way. God you can’t win, people either slate you if your ‘too thin’ and say they should gain and those that HAVE a healthy normal people say they look too big or have huge thighs. Is it any wonder that there are so many celebs with eating disorders.

I think those of you coveting a 14 year old’s body need to have your heads checked. She definitely doesn’t have the “best body”, she is tall and thin but she definitely will fill out and have some curves (which are GOOD) once she’s finished going through this thing called PUBERTY.

Many of you are saying that there is something off looking about Blake. Perhaps it is the fact that she has had a nose job and the make-up or lighting is really highlighting the structure of it perhaps?
Michelle actually does nothing for me at all. I do not like her acting either. There is something annoying about the way she plays her character.

All the girls seem to have found a healthy, ideal weight and look gorgeous. However, Taylor does appear too thin–like unhealthily so. It could just be that she is so young still or it could be that she has an eating disorder. I had no idea she was only 14yrs old, interesting.

I live in the uk and gossip girl is relatively new here but I’m already loving it and I wanted to say how happy I was to see this post with ‘normal’ looking girls who show that you don’t need to be a skeleton to look great. What scares me though is that when ‘Friends’ first started Jen Aniston and co were also quite ‘normal’ looking and then look what happened to them - same with the ‘Desperate Housewives. Gossip girl has just had it’s debut season and I hope that by season 3-4 (I hope it runs that long) they too do not fall victim to media pressure and critics. They all look great and at the moment are good role models for young girls. Leighton is definitely my favourite!

I may be wrong but I beleive that Michelle Trachtenberg was in a lifetime movie where she played a character who had an eatting disorder and eventually overdosed on pills because of how messed up her life had become.
and I have to say that I think taylor momsen is by far the prettiest in the bunch.

Leighton looks amazing here, but I thought in the show she sometimes looked too skinny (like in the bikini shoot of her). But I guess she’s just a really petite girl (and of course she’s gorgeous!).
Blake… uh. I never thought she was pretty while watching the show. While the body’s okay (she always looked heavier than Leighton to me, but that’s not a bad thing), her face is that of a 30 year old housewife. Not pretty.
Michelle… well, I hated her character in Buffy so I’m inclined to feel more negatively toward her, but I have to see in these pics she looks fabulous. Her legs are her problem zone, but I don’t think they look bad. In fact, I’d say she looks better than she did as a skinny teen.
Taylor Momsen is great. Her character on the show is ass, but her face is very pretty and I like her huge blue eyes. She’s very skinny, but most likely naturally so. Pretty.

They are relatively normal and healthy looking! Body-wise at least! They maybe on the very slim side of healthy but I think it’s good that when you look at them you don’t think ‘oh my gosh she’s so thin!’ or ‘what skinny legs’ and then start comparing your own. Taylor has quite thin legs and arms but she is only fourteen! I think they make great body role models!

Yeah taylor does look pretty thin, but shes only 14, its normal for people to become more womanly at different ages. I was practically a boy until i was 15/16, and people always told me i was too skinny, but i ate loads, it was just how i was. Now (at 17) im still slim but have weight around the hips etc.. SO ITS NORMAL PEOPLE!
All the girls are beautiful and their dresses are wonderful. Taylor does look her age from her face to the awkwardly skinny body. Some girls her age go through it but I’m sure she will have an amazing body after puberty.

wow leighton and blake seriously have the best bodies i’ve seen yet. my work outs goin from 4x to 6x a week now. i think michele is very natural. and taylor is very pretty. i doubt she wears contacts cuz her eyes are very pretty. her body will grow. i mean look at scarlett johanson. she used to be skinny as a stik. now shes got one of the best bodies in hollywood.

Taylor… well she’s 14; not finished blooming but is slightly too skinny (But i know someone who eats like a horse and she’s like a stick insect… she can get both her hands round her waist but is so skinny cos she dances so much)

In my opinion it would be a good idea if you posted the height of the celebrity, because somepeople who are short look chunky, when they’re really not, and people who are tall seem streamly long and skinny, when they’re just normal size (im tall, and this happens to me when taking pictures)
Yeah Blair’s dress is v. short but she has the legs to pull it off - beautifully shapely and muscular. J’s look so thin they could snap! How does she get them so skinny?
