I don’t like her, she’s hautain and ugly at the same time. She’s lucky to have her voice, because otherwise it is very difficult to combine these 2 characteristics.
I can’t really tell because of her dress, she has always been more bottom heavy.

@ Jess: Firstly: when did I say that I hate her? I say I don’t like her, that is something completely different than hating someone. Secondly: I don’t like her because I find her hautain, I did NOT say “I hate her because she’s ugly”.

Sorry… I am not a native English speaking person. I thought that hautain was also an English word, apparently not. I don’t know the English word, but you can describe it as ‘being full of yourself and being very degrading to other people’. I saw 2 interviews with her and in both interviews she was very ‘hautain’
She is, and will always be, in my view chubby. That is just the way she is; chubby. Even if she loses weight for a time she will invariably return to her predemtermined set point of chubbiness. She would have to fight and fight hard her entire life for it to not be so. And I just don’t see her as that strong-willed or interested in remaining trim. But hey, she’s cute, and talented, and seems nice and happy, and I assume well off financially. Hey it could be a whole lot worse!
“hautain” is french for “haughty”– so the use of the word here is very odd for 2 reasons b/c: 1) what a bizaare word choice to describe a celebrity (esp. on a website such as this) and especially one who isn’t often in the spotlight or the press (paris hilton is one i’d say is haugty); and 2) why use an uncommon french word as an adjective when clearly you speak english?
anyway, i think kelly looks happy, healthy, and great!

I don’t know what interviews you saw, I know she doesn’t really like the media/press side of her job, but she is incredibly nice to her fans.
I like Kelly, she’s cute, humble and has a great voice. I don’t think she’s overweight, maybe 10 lbs or so. She’s much healthier than these anorexic chicks.
You will never convince me that being fat is healthy. And Kelly is fat.

I think she is fat. Her arms are almost as big as my legs. Even though she is fat to me, she is still thinner than most American women.
I wouldn’t describe Kelly as haughty, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton are haughty. Those three women are full of themselves Kelly seems like a very nice, humble, and talented person.

Wow. Have any of you ever seen her in person? I bet she is not even “fat”. She may be at her ideal BMI. Wow. How dare someone be at their BMI and not below it. People are friggin ridiculous, and judgemental, and I seriously believe that this kind of talking about people could cause an ED in anyone. People need to look inside themselves and see why they are so miserable.
That out of the way… Maybe she is a bit chubby, but honestly, if she’s ok with that and confident with herself, who are any of us to say anything about her. I think she’s adorable, and I actually love that dress, too.

I had the pleasure of meeting this girl a cpl of months ago while she toured Europe, she is NOT fat!! she doesnt even look it in photos…but in person she really is TINY!!! and Haughty?? no way is she!! shes the most sweetest person ever!! and so genuine!! Although, it’s harder for women with this body type to look good some still pull it off, America Ferrera for instance. She needs to find cloths that are more flattering to her figure. America actually made Maxims 100 hottest women this year.

I cannot stand untoned arms, they look terrible. Seriously, was it so incredibly hot that wearing a coverup was out of the question? Even short sleeves would help.

I don’t think she’s haughty or hautain or whatever, she seems more down to earth than a lot of other celebs. She looks like she lost a little bit of weight, but may is right, America Ferrera works that same weight a lot better than her, probably because America is more toned and Kelly’s so flabby looking.

I think she’s lovely. I love her for not succumbing to all the stress and really nasty comments around. I love her because she, unlike many others, has talent, is sucessful, has guts and is still incredibly nice. And I actually think the empire waist dresses generally look good on her, surprisingly so.

I actually saw Kelly in person when she sang at Pope Benedicts visit in NY. I was shocked by how slim she looked next to the “normal” students and teachers. She seemed so much thinner in person that its almost unbelievable to look these and other recent pictures with an unscrutinizing eye.
I love her voice, I don’t care how she looks. I rather see her, a talented young woman, as oppose to some girl with no talent and only looks good.
