That is pretty creepy - he looks, I don’t know, like some sort of zombie/vampire creature. Apparently it’s all for a film role but he really does look horrendous!

I think his face is more attractive now than before. Probably because he reminds me of my fiancé, who has a naturally very fat-free face and excellent bone structure…
however, husband to be is miles hotter, and not too skinny or starved like colin is here.

I love how everyone thinks Collin looks sick and emaciated at this weight, yet if a woman was at a similar BMI, most of the people here would be like “OMG, she looks so great!” We’re so used to seeing actresses and female singers being at the low end of the BMI scale that it shocks us when men do something similar. Now THAT is a scary thought.

Rian, do you think you could find some pics of Ryan Gosling? I know he gained 20 lbs for The Lovely Bones then the director fired him for being too overweight for it. I’ve tried looking and I want to see what he looks like now. I’m sure he’d be down to his normal weight.

Well lets all cross our fingers that when filming is over he goes back to as hot as he used to be. Personally, I don’t think Christian Bale recovered 100% from The Machineist, even in Batman Begins as healthy as his body was his face still looked different than before, and those weird veiny things under his eyes didn’t go away

I don´t even think he is that skinny. Yes, thinner than before. I think we consider him so thin because he used to be so muscular before weight loss. But if I hadn´t ever seen him before, I wouldn´t think he is too skinny. Maybe that´s because my husband really is superskinny. But yes, he looks much thinner now because he isn´t built to be this thin.

I have to agree w/apricot. I think he still looks handsome. Tan, lean, fit, big brown eyes. His eyes are definately alive and inquisitive. Folks lean is NOT a disease; obesity is. It is MUCH healthier to be thin than overweight.

yeah, i dont think he looks too sick or like a skeleton, just veryone knows this isnt is natural body type…i see guys with bodies like this all the time - its more common for guys to be super thin than women - and they mostly appear normal

Actually, leah, he does look too thin here. My fiance is naturally lean, he eats a ton but is still pretty thin. its genetic.

I adore christian bale and his weight loss for that role was incredible, but Colins trying to achieve the same dedication for his piece so I say, good job! Although, even with the both emmciated, hes no where near as sexy as Mr. Bale.

I agree with Spectra. This is only a sensation because a man is doing it– women routinely lose and gain 20+ lbs. for roles. Actresses may get some press, but there’s more of an acceptance of “You have to do what you have to do.” One exception: Renee Zellweger’s gain (and subsequent loss) for Bridget Jones.
Apricot, I am actually appalled that you, along with evidentally so many others think it is better to be overweight than too thin. ANY one with a medical background will tell you it is sooo much better to be a bit to thin than overweight. Think diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension that goes along with being overweight. If Colin was a female people would be raving at how chic she looked.
So many people have become use to overweight as the new average that thin people are the exception. Sad.

People, stop saying how bad he looks and just be thankful the look is just for a role he’s playing. When I first saw them I freaked thinking he was sick and was so relieved when I heard the weight loss was for a film he was working on. I’ll still take him home though weight loss or not. ( :
