i HATE her!! i just dont understand why someone who “looks like a boy from the 80s” (you took the words right out my mouth) is so successful in modelling WOMEN’S clothes. I just dont get it. Women are supposed to have SOME amount of curvature in their bodies, the only curvature she has is gonna be of the spine from osteoperosis…
I thought the media was making progress in accepting women’s bodies as they are naturally and hence should be, but the popularity of this masculine bag of bones sadly dissapoints.

How is this woman attractive? She looks like an anorexic Susan Powter. I read that she’s the new “it” girl. Maybe we need to redefine “it” because I’m definitely sick of “it” if this is the epitome of “it”. Bring on the CURVES!

I REALLY like her model shots- she just sells anything she’s wearing. Her face is extremely pretty, though her fashion sense screams louder than her looks.
I like her style tho; it suits her.
I don’t mind skinny models… Their bodies are their art. (Not to sound extremly contraversal) but I’d rather see more diversity on the runaway. It just makes it more interesting.
Anyone with a good sense of who they are (and what body type they have) must know that 6″ & 110 lbs is not a fun way to live, nor healthy. Just like TV. I love “The L Word”, but seriously doubt that one can lead a fab live, have awesome clothes, and do nothing but sip coffee & talk in cafes all day. It’s all about separating reality from fiction.
To me, models are almost fiction. The way they look & their image is their lifestyle, their career. They are to be admired, looked at, but are rarely emulatable. Just like a good piece of art.

i haven’t read such a good comment for a long time. i do not agree with you on every point, but well done.
just because she chooses to wear something she likes doesn’t mean she needs ten hundred people jumping down her throat. and anyway, she’s a model. is she on set right now? no. did she choose these pictures to be taken? no. personally i think they do her hair wonderful on sets & she looks stunning. so what she isn’t ‘curvy’, she wouldn’t be a model if she was because the media seem to hate curvy people right now. NOT HER FAULT, is it? let her be. i think she’s cute.

it might work for the runway but personally I like women who have more of a shapely figure. both her legs and arms are muscle-less. muscles add curves to your legs– her’s are just straight up and down.

I like the socks/shoes combination. I know the word “edgy” is overused and most people here seem to dislike her 80s derived style, but I still think the combination is unconventional, something I’d see in the street and go “wish I had thought of that. I’m going to try it tomorrow.” I also like the British bag, just because it’s refreshing to see a supermodel wearing a purse you could buy at a tourist trap, not one of those huge gaudy bags I see all the girl clones wearing.

It appears as though everyone’s definition of beauty lies in the clothes she wears. You guys need to chill! Let the girl have her own style, it seems like all the hatred towards her is strictly directed to her choice of clothing.
If everyone was curvy and voluptious the world wouldn’t be a very interesting place, now would it? Catwalk models are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ANY BIGGER THAN THIS! Just because she’s skinny and different doesn’t mean she needs to be crucified. And I feel like a broken record, but she is not the one who chose to be compared to Kate Moss. The media did that. Kate wasn’t all that loved herself at the beginning of her career, it took her years to get where she’s now. And the whole comparison is not based on looks, but style.

laur, I’d have to say at one point I chose the latter because of depression. Illness in any way can make a person lose weight in an unhealthy manner, intentionally or not. So don’t judge everyone who isn’t a madonna in the gym, maybe they are going through some personal problems.. Just saying.

I think most people dislike Agyness because she is not the cookie cutter long hair and plain. And believe it or not because she is “DIFFERENT” looking she is popular and soughtafter. Maybe most don’t like her short hair. I do remember Linda E cutting her hair and she got flack for it.

it’s one thing to be thin. it’s another thing to look like a gawky, junior-high-aged boy. if you’ve ever seen topless photos of her, she has zero breast tissue. it’s one thing to have small breasts or be petite… but this just seems unnatural. she might have in interesting face (to some), but in whose book is she gorgeous? girls may admire her thin physique, but she’s definitely not a classic beauty.

I love her. like someone said about her in a previous post. she’s high fashion, meaning the majority of people wont get her look. however, DO look up online, you’ll find a picture of her with her mum when she was chubby-ish w brown hair, VERY different looking.

I like Agyness just the way she is, some may think she’s “trying” too hard, but her tall thin body seems very natural. She seems like the type that doesn’t have to exercise like crazy or starve herself, or take speed to be this weight. Why can’t people just accept that some people are just meant to be skinny? My mom eats like a horse (anything she wants), and she’s been a healthy 5’2, 90 lbs her whole life (after 2 kids, and after menopause). According to the weight-obsessed readers of this site, if you look underweight, you must be doing something unhealthy which is just NOT TRUE!
As far as model-bashing goes, I bash pretty much every runway model I see because most of them are butt-ugly. The only qualifications you need to be a model are being 5′7″ or taller and fitting into the clothes they want you to wear. Other than that, there is no standard for their faces. Don’t get me wrong, there ARE some beautiful models, but most of them are generic looking. I personally think Agyness looks like Boy George, but that’s just me.

Lynne, I follow “high fashion” (as you put it) and I hate most typical boring hollywood-inspired fashion trends, but this girl tries way too hard, IMO. There are more interesting high-fashionistas out there.
Her face is pretty, and her gawky body suits the runway, but it isn’t one I would envy at all.
If anyone could be a model, then everyone would be making millions. If this girl didn’t have something special about her looks, she wouldn’t be a supermodel.

Maybe what makes her trendy at the moment is her “different” look, but that doesn’t mean we all have to love it. She is too thin and her arms and legs lack any muscle definition at all. And those weird bruises that are always on her legs still seem to be there. Her personal style might appear “cutting edge”, but it’s like she’s trying too hard. The boots are even scuffed! She may have the right proportions for the clothes designers, but I couldn’t imagine many red-blooded males agreeing! Just asked one, and he said she looked like a boy…

reading these comments it’s so bizzare. here in the UK she’s like outrageously loved. i think shes cute, and her body is good too. i think her appeal is she’s not the typical “my-long-hair-makes-me-pretty” with an odd fashion sense. but thats all cool, atleast she can keep her clothes on?
From what I’ve seen she’s not a very versatile(sorry if this is spelled wrong it’s late here and I’m sick) model. Sure she has a pretty face sort of, but she doesn’t have the chamelon like quality that models need to have for long lasting popularity. I’m not saying she needs to look totally different in every shot, but her features and such are suited towards one type of look only.

There are PLENTY of curvy models. Gizzy, Tyra, Heidi… The list goes on and on. So what’s wrong with having someone who’s out of the ordinary? Having your own personal style is a HUGE must in the fashion world. A simple girl in jeans and a t-shirt is not going to make an impact with agencies OR designers.
All the pieces she wears is high end designers like Chanel, for example.
Thin will always be what the fashion world is interested in.
Gucci, Prada, Chanel you name it… they don’t make PLUS size, so get over it and get to Weight Watchers.
