Whoever dressed her in that ensemble played a nasty trick on her because it’s hideous! Any one of these clothing elements might be fine in a different, seperate outfit, but together, they are a disaster.

She doesn’t have cankles. She just has large ankles. If you notice, they aren’t the same size all the way up. Anyway, if she could fix the ankles, she’d be perfectly fine.

I think she’s REALLY pretty despite the ‘bloated’ look in the first two pics. ANd those outfits weren’t her choice anyway. Blame the producer.

I have the same problem. I go to the gym daily for cardio and weight-lift every other and yet you can’t deny the cankle. I, too, have midge feet which further makes the cankle a monstrosity. Those itty bitty flats aren’t helping at all.
Yeah, she seems to suffer from the “straight leg”, which means no curves at the knee or ankles. If she wore a higher heel it would pop her calf muscles and give her a little more definition.

I think the shoes are probably the most offensive to her legs, but the shorts are bad, too. Actually, since we JUST saw her a few days ago & she looked really hot in the shorts and tank, I’d say the whole outfit’s bad for her entire body. It added 10 phantom lbs!
However- the purse is really cute.

Not a fan of the shoes with her legs…I’m guessing those shoes are made by the same types of people who make Crocs: people who have no regard for making shoes that look decent. I’m sure they’re in cahoots with the people who make high waisted elastic waist jeans and holiday sweaters as well.
Incidentally, those skorts are horrific. Like something she grabbed out of the $1/lb bin at St. Vincent’s.
Man, I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I think this girl looks at least 85% better than Jennifer Love Hewitt in that last post, and yet everyone seems critical of this girl and defensive of JLH. I really don’t get it. Yes, this isn’t the best outfit ever, but she looks far better in it than JLH did in hers, in my opinion. I’m seriously baffled.
She definitely isn’t heavy, and looks healthy and fit. Her legs are obviously long and slim, even in these unflattering shorts/shoes. Cute flip-flops or sandals would have looked a lot better. I definitely don’t get the black loafers with that bright summery outfit.

Sorry i’m just all worked up after seeing old prom pics of myself and my own cankles quite upsetting for me 5′8 being 135 EWW a reduction of at least 20 pounds helped out the look

Hate to admit this since you all seem to hate them, but I’m loving those shoes, they look like a Sperry top sider style. The rest of the outfit should be put into a trash can and burned. Poor Leighton must have done something serious to have pi$$ed off the wardrobe dept. so badly. She does look strangely bloated, but maybe she had a reaction to something and it’s “that time” of the month for her, who knows. I don’t think people can just gain and lose weight that quickly. She is a pretty girl, and she’s very fun to watch on the show. I can hardly wait untill it comes back in the fall!

Seriously, I don’t think flats should ever be worn unless you have PERFECT bone structure, ie. not bow-legged, have slim ankles, and long, toned legs. This kind of perfection is only boasted by Gisele, my dears.
Anw, I think Leighton didn’t apply enough makeup, which is why she looks so washed out and PLAIN. That grumpy look doesn’t fight for her case either.

Jean Genie, I was pondering her chin for a moment earlier and was astounded as its weakness. She has that unfortunate sort of chin/neck combination where it looks like the chin is melting directly into the neck without stopping to curve enough to discern between the two.
If she needs makeup to make her look attractive, she’s not all that pretty. I do not see the appeal of this one at all. I see regular girls on the street every day whose looks and figures far surpass hers.

This obsession with cankles is cracking me up. A couple of years ago, everyone was yammering on about abs this, abs that, now cankles are in the spotlight.
the outfit is hideous and belongs back in the 50’s or whichever decade it came from. she has cankles and the shoes certainly don’t help, but she has good thighs. it’s weird, sometimes i think she’s really pretty and other times, i wonder how on earth she even got a job on television.
