Allegra Versace Update

So these shocking pictures shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to anyone… Anyway, she was spotted at the “Dark Knight” premiere in London yesterday, looking extremely skinny.

There were rumors that she was in recovery for a while, but clearly that is not the case now. I hope she is getting the help she needs!

This has to be one of her better pictures. She usually looks much more emaciated than that. In this picture her body is no different than say Renee Zellewegar.. or all the other bobble heads that Hollywood has come to love. It is sad though. She’s beautiful and fortunate, yet plagued with this disorder that is ruining her.

I think she looks amazing. Those arms are stunning and I love her make-up.

I think she looks better than she has in the past, kind of hard to tell with her legs and stomach covered up, her arms look like 80% of hollywood/models to me.
She is strutting her bones on the red carpet and does everything to be a role model for young girls trying to look like her.

Wow she is way too skinny. It’s wierd, she is so sick looking but if I looked like that I would be so happy. It’s hard to explain but I hope she gains some weight soon.

i cant imagine being in her position. I understand from the perspective of an eating disorder, but i cannot understand what she must go through in her personal life. She is wealthy and has everything handed and given to her, but i cannot imagine being around thin models all the time, having Donatella as a mother, etc. Im sure those factors did not help in the whole situation.
I saw photos of her from back a few years ago when she was still thin, but not emaciated, and she was quite pretty. Now she just looks so dull and out-of-body almost, like there is no life in her eyes, she never smiles or looks like she is enjoying herself. I can only hope she gets the physical and emotional/mental help that she needs.
How sad…I hope that she makes it though. Being at that size for more than a couple of years is extremely dangerous.

At her worst, I think Nicole Richie was as thin or thinner than she is. I think Allegra would look perfect with about another 10-20 lbs or so.

she’s is definitely not back down to her lowest, she still looks heavier than before. and it is quite the long process to get to the point where you can deal with keeping up your weight, so don’t expect to see her looking healthy anytime soon.

It’s obvious that she is underweight. Her hands look huge…proportionately, they don’t match up to the rest of her body. Almost looks like someone else’s hands attached to her body.

i hate to say this but bc her eatingdisorder seems to be her identity for so long, i do not think she will get well. if she does she will never be right and she will likely relapse.

If you look at pictures from her then and compare them to these pictures she looks to have gained about 10 or so pounds. Not alot, but progress for someone who has a serious disorder.

I would say the majority here do NOT want to look like her because she is obviously very sick. Unfortunately you are not alone, there are some ill posters here.

i have to disagree not all girls with anorexia WANT to look this skinny, they want to be thin not sick and it goes a bit too far. then they never realize what they look like and they continue to lose weight at whatever costs.

She is obviously still sick, but she is on the mend and I think everyone needs to give her a break. As hard as it may be to believe, she is looking a lot better in this photo then she has before. She is a beautiful girl and I hope she gets better soon.

i am very well aware it is a sickness, and an illness for crying out loud i’ve had it for 20 years. my point is no one with this illness ever thought ‘oh boy i want to look like allegra versace’ or a sick body like that! no one wants to be sick they just became that way pusueing a slimmer body and it became out of control.
i do think it will be very hard for this girl to get well bc this has become her identity!
i don’t know about the pro ans girls but noone wants to look like allegra on purpose!
Wow, this girl needs to gain weight. She is way to skinny, Jessica Simpsons looks great in comparison. You can tell when someone looks good thin i.e. Natalie Portman and when someone is just sickly and gross like her
Saying that anyone whether or not she had an eating disorder looking like her is sick! She is very pretty and with 15 pounds gained she would still be thin. She has no body, less than that of a child. You must have a warped sense of what looks good if you think she is hot or sexy
she has recovered quite a bit….a few years back she literally looked like she couldn’t breathe. wow. her bones protruded much more…honestly it’s still crazy to see that she is this thin and has been suffering for so long…my heart goes out to her

This just makes me sick.” this comment….i must argue the contrary. she is not strutting her stuff and has never been known to do so either. if you look at pictures of her…it is veryyy hard to find any. it is so rare for her to even make a public appearance and when she does she is usually clutching her mom. it is a sign that maybe she is recovering by not being as isolated as before. so congrats to her.
and as a sidenote…it’s unfortunate that our society looks down upon people with addictive/self destructive disorders as if it is the person’s fault. these people struggle daily and don’t deserve to be seen as “weak” and insignificant because they have a disease.
She’s so pretty… She looks a LITTLE better, I think, but it could just be that she has professional make-up and hair. Though her calves look maybe a TEENSY TINY bit bigger than they were in some photos I saw of her some time ago.

her BMI is soo under 16 omg!!! More like 12.9 she might even be lower i assumed she was 5′6″ and 80 lbs she is probabally less than that.

well at least it will not be a financial strain when she needs to buy dental inplants and needs bone grafts to have teeth in her mouth after starving them away. when it costs like 3,ooo per side for the graft and it cost 1,500 per inplant then 1,750 for the inplant crown (ttl 2,250 per tooth). but i’m sure she’ll get a group rate makeing the cost a bit less bc of so many teeth. not to mention the costs to remove the teeth. and all the pain she will go through. oh and the cost of the ant-biotics and percocets. this will happen before shes 30 i would suspect at the rate she is going. poor girl and thats just the distruction of her teeth.
and lets hope she is sorta weight recovered when this happens bc no respectable oral surgeon will put the inplants in her mouth when she so emaciated they would reject.

all to be later fractured due to her bone lose and pulled out, then replaced by an inplant with hope that stays in… who knows if they last past ten - twenty years! i hope they have her on fosamx or boniva or some osteoporosis med for her bones. they do help

to BMI 14.7 - her BMI’s definitely not 12.9. At my skinniest when I had a BMI of 13 I was looking much sicker. I couldn’t even bare my arms if I didn’t want to have all people around me throw up their insides.
This girl is still sick, it’s obvious, but she has really succeeded to keep some of the weight she gained. She looked much worse in the past. I think her BMI’s around 15 at the moment.

I truly truly feel sorry for her. I do not understand for the life of me why her mother will not get her help. I can say as a parent if she were my child I would do anything to get her well. eating disorders are complex illnesses and recovery is usually a life long process–not just a few months. there will be moments of relapse and success.
i think people just need to leave her alone and let her recover at her own pace without throwing words such as “just eat a sandwich” and “omg, she looks like shes going to die”. just look at pictures from 2 years ago and i think it becomes evident shes making a bit of progress.

To me, she is looking better than the last time I saw a picture of her. Of course I don’t know what it looks like inside of her, but her physical state doesn’t seem as life-threatening to me, as it obviously was before.

Saddest thing for me: I still am not over it and whenever I see some girl like her I want to be this skinny - but… I am not even a girl anymore - I am a stepmom of 2 sweet children and 38 yrs old - but I think I will never get over it.

she is bigger than in the past, but she appears to have lost some of her recent weight that she gained. i saw pics a couple months ago of her in a purple dress, and she was still probably too skinny, but her face looked so much fuller and prettier.
i have a niece who is a ballet dancer (dances more than 16 hrs a week in a pre-professional program). She is tall and very slender… her body looks EXACTLY like this girl’s.
The difference is my niece is TWELVE yrs. old!!!
Ive never seen her in real life, but ive seen the woman she is posing with, tamara beckwith, loads of times, and SHE is very very VERY thin, so if allegra is that much thinner than tamara, that is very scary…..i really feel bad for her….poor girl….

I saw a picture of Donatella recently and she lost a ton of weigh-and is now very skinny; bordering on looking unhealthy skinny. I’m sure that didn’t help Allegra. What was Donatella thinking, or as per usual, Donatella probably was doing what she does best - and didn’t think about her daughter. Allegra is quite thin, has lost weight from when she’d gotten a bit better. I can tell you her BMI is under 15. I have a bmi B/T 14-15, and I’m naturally skinny without eating issues. I certainly don’t look as thin as Allegra, nor would I want too. Her BMI is w/out question under 14. I hope she continues to fight to recover, and I hope her ridiculous mother grows the frak up, and thinks of someone besides herself someday.

its sucks b/c she knows that everyone knows that she has this illness that is looked down upon…she must feel humiliated. That’s how i feel when i see people who think they know. she is the only one who can try to take it away and that would be the anorexia monster not her ‘delicate look’. the doctors do not take this away from a person, they can’t. perhaps they can take extreem skinnyness away from someone under 18 by forceing a hospital stay and a feeding tube. NOBODY can force someone to recover, period.

this poor young woman. she may well have been “in recovery” but one thing that’s hard for people who haven’t had eating disorders to understand is that it’s not like you get better and that’s it, it’s always there, you always have the impulses and the danger of relapse, and if you’re “recovered” it just means that you’ve learned to control them (better). i’ve been healthy for almost two years but when I see someone like this my first untempered reaction is, God, I should look like her. then i remember how miserable it was. i hope she can hold on.

It really bothers me that we as a society have come to think that a body state like this is acceptable/normal and that women with a body like Jessica Simpson are considered “fat”. Oh, PUH-LEEEZE, back to the poster who said you have to be ill to have a BMI of 15. Grow up, there are naturally thin people out there. My entire family is like this, male and female. We eat, and don’t do anything destructive with food or our bodies. Deal with it. I hope Allegra recovers so she doesn’t end up having some functional failure. She looks so unhappy.
Her internal organs are probably damaged from years of starvation and vomiting. I would not be surprised if she has gone into cardiac arrest. It is common for people who are as emaciated as she is. Her esophagus, stomach and kidneys are probably irreversibly damaged. I am disturbed by people who think she looks good at this weight. Trust me. She is NOT happy.

You have to give her credit on what she’s already accompilshed, And give her time. The weight’s not just going to pile on,it’s not healthy for your heart to gain quickly during treatment for anorexia.

I tend to agree with Molly….I’ve seen pics of Allegra when her bones were protruding out all over the place. Her arms & legs looked like twigs…OR blades of grass! Saw a picture of her 6 or 8 months or so back and she looked better but CLEARLY she has LOST some of the weight she had put on. Her internal organs must really be at HIGH RISK! She has been struggling with this for so-o-o MANY YEARS. She is just 21 or 22 years old…but does look more like 12 years old. Her face is so, so sad and vacant looking. Whoever did her “make-up” for her must have had to be a MIRACLE WORKER…must have taken hours to do!

Compared to how deathly-thin she looked before, this is a transformation! Being a sufferer of this disease, I understand how difficult it is to be well again

it is amazing how allegra is just assumed to be this way and no one comments as negatively as they would on everyone else who they find too thin. i don’t get it. its like the people who wont say someone is pretty but when they see someone who isn’t they say that person is pretty.

My BMI has been below 13 before, and trust me, she is NOT as thin as 12.9. Not even below 14.
I’d guess her BMI is around 14.8 or so. Definitely under 15, and DEFINITELY under 16.
She looks ALOT better than the magazine i saw her in over a year ago. ALL her bones were showing. She has defo gained weight.
She’s not horribly thin anymore. It might help if she didn’t make herself up to look like a vampire with that purple eyeshadow. It also might help if she opened her eyes…. is she stoned or something?? Honestly, it’s like she’s trying to flaunt her disorder - why would she wear a black dress, wear makeup that makes her look tired, and wear blush that highlights her cheekbones? She certainly did nothing to bring any life into her
Yeah she is under a BMI of 15. She looks thinner then i did at 14.8 I think she is smaller then 14.8!
In all honesty I think the 90210 girls look very close to her, the tall one Jessica in particular. Clearly though the way most people are commenting they are not putting her anywhere near Allegra, because if so there wouldn’t be so many of you who called her sick saying Jessica looks like the average kid. Oh well with anymore dieting Jessica will be this size for sure.

she moved to california from the east coast in order to seek treatment for her eating disorder. she has been in treatment for several years and has taken it very seriously and i think you can give her treatment in california some credit for her recent weight gain.
