[Edited] Anyone who watched the Season Four finale of Desperate Housewives knows that Eva’s character (Gabrielle Solis) has to look heavier this season, which explains why it looks like she has suddenly gained 15 pounds!
She’s clearly wearing pads. Her rep reported a few days ago that for the flash forward episodes of next season she’s going to be a housewife with two kids–and they have to make it look like she’s gained some weight. That’s not her actual figure.
she has to wear stomach and butt and breat pads so look fatter for her role.

even if the “weight gain” is just for her show, its obvious that she wouldn’t hold weight well. she looks really bad here.

Oh my goodness her arms and backside look huge..i have a feeling that she may be pregnant…well lets hope for her sake she is…she’s not very attactive and this weight gain just makes her look blobby…

You guys are ridiculous. Her arms are fine. It’s just that she has it pressed up against her side to hold on to that piece of paper. Geez, so quick to criticize! And it’s obvious she’s padded for the show. Check out her last post. No one can gain weight that fast!
They said they were going to make her “fat” for the show but at least make that dumpy lumpy butt believable!

Yes, nikki, I was being facetious about it being salad dressing. I was really making a statement about how quick people are to jump on something ridiculous, like salad dressing. And BFD anyway re: salad dressing anyway. It could be “light” or it could be full fat. It doesn’t matter if you don’t go whole hog with it.
And come on, people, it’s clearly padding — or she had a sack of puppies permanently affixed to her posterior.
She still looks good, pads on or not. Her arms are still slim, God forbid she gets any curves.
i actually think Eva could pull off a more voluptuous look. Obviously she is padded here for the show, but i think even if she did gain 15 lbs or so, she would still look good curvy too.
The salads are an extremely good idea because she’s still up 10+ lbs since the writers’ strike.
Really she’s not all that heavier, I’m sure she’s gained maybe 5 pounds at most but you can see it’s really obviously boob and butt padding, probably some around the middle. All her lyms that aren’t coverent and her face look thin.

Your archives back in August of 2007 show a frail, very skinny woman. Pads or not, she is no longer frail and skinny.
If those are pads, I think it could become a fashion trend in Hollywood—somebody who has gained 5 or 6 pounds wears pads to make it look like 15 or 20—then the media gets all excited over the pictures, then she reappears the next week without pads asking them “what do you mean I got fat?”.
Or they could just quietly collect commissions from Star for co-operating in a “she’s gained 30 pounds” story.

she may not have gained as much as she looks. i read that for the show she’s wearing tummy and butt pads to make her bigger, so you can really only focus onthe weight gain in her face.

Actually I think she looks much better this way. The colour of her dress really suits her and I like it that her hair isn’t all smooth in place (which makes her look older I think). She looks good.
To me she looks nicer without the heavy make up.

however i have seen some recent pics of her in a bikini and she has gained weight around her torso. could be for the role or she could be preggers, whatever the reason, it’s there.

I don’t think her arms look huge. She’s obviously got her upper arms pressed against her sides to hold the script. No matter how toned you are, that position is going to be unflattering. That’s why celebs always pose for photos with their hands on their hips.
Photos like this just go to show you how dependant these “gorgeous” celeb types are on perfect hair, make up, body weight and wardrobe…without EACH of those things in place, most of them wouldn’t cause you to glance twice on the street.

Ha Ha Ha. She has Kim Kardashians body. Tiny calves, tiny arms, big butt, pertruding (yet thin) belly, and huge boobs.
And WOW, everyone in America is cutting their hair short. Every girl at my school is, and it’s so puzzling to me, because I cut mine way short in November, and no one seemed to like it.
Now my hair goes passed my shoulders, which really isn’t long, but once everyone gets sick of this style, they’ll think my hair is long! Whoopee!
And also, why does it seem like half of the people in this blog commenting aren’t reading the article?

You can definitely tell that she’s got padding on under that dress…it’s kind of lumpy. But from looking at her arms, I’d say she probably gained 5 lbs or so to soften her body a little so she wouldn’t look completely ridiculous in the fat suit.
