OK Magazine: Real Sizes Revealed

I rarely do tabloid articles on this site anymore since most of them are BS – and this one is probably no different – but the latest cover story in OK Magazine was too interesting not to post about. In this article, celebs such as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian and more reveal their heights, sizes and even weight (in some cases).
Here’s the summary… keep in mind that the sizes are American, and the jean sizes are designer jean sizes:
- Jennifer Love Hewitt: 5′2, jean size 27
- Tori Spelling: 5′5, jean size 25
- Jennifer Aniston: 5′5, dress size 0/2, jean size 26
- Halle Berry: 5′6, dress size 4
- Mariah Carey: 5′9, dress size 6/8, jean size 29
- Kim Kardashian: 5′2, dress size 2/4, jean size 26 or 27, 118 pounds
- Eva Longoria: 5′1, dress size 0, jean size 24, 98 pounds
- Jessica Alba: 5′7, dress size 0/2, jean size 25 (down from size 28 in August)
- Jessica Simpson: 5′2, dress size 4, 122 pounds
- Jennifer Lopez: 5′5, jean size 28
- Brooke Shields: 5′11, jean size 29
I personally believe that some of these sizes and weights are wrong, specifically for Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Love Hewitt and maybe Jennifer Aniston…

ok these are so rediculous, that is why girls have eating disorders. Ok. I am 5′6″, weigh 135 and wear size 28 in designer jeans. I have a bigger butt similar too, but not quite as large as Kim Kardashians. There is just no way. It is absurd, especially to think that Jennifer Lopez wears a bigger size than Kim Kardashian.

I have seen Jen Aniston in real life. She is 5′3 at the most. Maybe 5′5 when she’s wearing heels. She’s a short, tiny woman.
27 correlates to a size of jean, it is called a waistband size, but it is not always the same as the waist, seeing as most jeans fit on the hips.

There is one thing that no one is taking into account– their height. I still dont believe Kim Kardashian fits in a size 2 jean… thats why she is never wearing jeans! But her waist may be a size 2. She is extremely short though. 118 pounds is a lot at 5′2″. The average would be 110 at most for that height. Im 5′4″ and 117.

If Kims measurements are 35-26-40 then there is absolutely no possible way that she wears a size 2. I’m 5′3, 117 pounds, and measurements 35-25-36 and I wear a size 2/4 or a size 27. And that’s in mall sizes which are known to be marked smaller than they really are. I’d assume with her money she’d be wearing jeans like True Religion or other designer jeans. In which case, a size 26 in True Religion squeezes the life out of my ass and I would put money on it that my entire ass is just one of her cheeks. God, she’s obnoxious.

I actually think they are pretty accurate. Jennifer Love Hewitt auctioned off a dress she wore on the show and I looked it up on Ebay (because it was really cute) and it was a size 0. I don’t think Kim K could wear that size jeans with her ass, but she does have a tiny waist. Def believe Jennifer Anniston they all sound right on to me.

Just because you can “fit” into a certain size, doesn’t mean you should wear it and that the size is healthy for your circulation.

I’ve had anorexia for 6 yrs, and am 5′6″, weighed 88 lbs, and bought a sh*tload of jeans, so I’m not just pulling this out of my a$$.
I actually am going to give Kim Kar the benefit of the doubt. I know she’s extremely curvy, but she’s also pretty slim in all of the bikini photos I’ve seen of her. I’m 5′2″ and 125 and I wear 27 at forever 21 (which is known to run way small!) so it’s plausible that in fancy jeans she could be a 26/27. As for Jessica Simpson, it’s hard for me to believe she weighs a few pounds less than I do, unless she’s pulling from her dasiy duke days.
I don’t think that any of these women are *much* above their advertised weights. You know how you weigh yourself first thing in the morning after you pee? That’s probably where they’re pulling that number from.
There is no way Kim K wears size 26 jeans!!! I am 5′3″ and 105 lbs, and I have a big butt for my build, and I wear size 26 in most designer brands, but I even buy size 27 in some brands (Rock & Republic and some Seven jeans). There’s no way in hell that she wears the same size as I do! I wish these women would just be honest instead of blatantly lying. Their comments just make us all feel bad about ourselves!!

Some of these sizes definitely must be wrong… but I think it’s their representatives are the ones telling the sizes so that makes sense they would fib for their clients. Just because your famous doesn’t mean you don’t want to like about your weight or the size of your pants.

So…moving on from Kim K. Realistically, the only one that is SOOO off is Jessica Alba. I mean, she is 5′7 and obviously not naturally skinny. She still has a lot of baby weight on her. I think that at her skinniest, she was maybe a size 26, but now at least a 27 or 28.
Are these sizes stated by the stars ? People usualy tend to size themselves up concerning their height 1 to 3 inches and to zize themselves down weight wise about 5 to 10 pounds. All of the stated sizes are ridiculous, come on Jessica Alba and a jeans s. 25, look at her legs and she is proven wrong.

I fully believe Jessica Simpson’s 122 lbs. PLEASE REMEMBER-the camera adds 10 lbs. I’m 5′2 and 122, also, and in pictures I look chunky, like she’s looking at the moment. On short people, even 10 lbs. of weight gain makes you look like you’ve been eating 4,000 calories a day for a year. In addition, Jessica’s huge boobs (something else I also have) contribute to her chunky look.

I love the people who insist the camera adds 10 pounds. Have you never had professional pictures taken? I was a journalist for years and have seen gazillions of professional photographs and guess what? People look the same size in pictures as they do in real life so stop consoling yourself by insisting a camera makes you look 10 pounds heavier. Yes, you can look slimmer at certain angles, but for the most part, if you’re thin, you look thin in photos. If you are fat, you look fat. Face reality!

The thing is Kim Kardashian can be 118lb because she has very little muscle and the way her body fat is distributed makes her appear heavier.
A girl can be 118lb and have 20lb of body fat or she could have 40lb of body fat. The latter would look bigger and flabbier even if both weigh exactly the same. I do not believe for a second that she is anywhere near 140lb purely because of the fact that she is small framed and non muscular. She could have more body fat but with the lack of muscle could easily put her below 120lb but with a higher body fat percentage.
I have all the the same sizes as Eva Longoria but I am 5′2 so I guess I am not doing too bad:) I think this made my day:)
Jessica Alba and I go to the same salon. We were in adjacent chairs, then we both got up to go to the sinks. I’m 5?8?, so believe me–this girl is NOT 5?7?! She’s quite a bit shorter than one expects, I’d say 5?4.5?.

Some of these are defending emaciating figures but others are making girls out to be MUCH thinner (cough jessica simpson) however kim DOES have a video online of her putting on a size 27 jeans.. so maybe it is true. it’s hard to tell from pics.

I think it’s messed up that weight is constantly lied about. As someone who weighs about 120, it’s very disturbing to see that celebs who are bigger than you weigh the same as you. Luckily I can see through this- but what about those teen girls who can’t?

You also have to take into account muscle mass when considering weight.. KK may be 118 llbs and so could another woman who works out a lot and appears much thinner.
Also, these may be flattery sizes from designers who makes larger clothes and put a smaller tag on them.

Ok, ok…we all know they are either lies or speculation. That’s why these magazines sell, they are not necessarily true. I think it’s ridiculous to compare our own weight/heights though because we are all built differently. You never really know how much someone weighs because of variations in bone and muscle mass…you just don’t know. So to say that there’s no way someone else would wear your size because you’re the same height but heavier/lighter really doesn’t mean squat. Anyways…it’s still fun to gossip about! I’d say the stats seem pretty accurate here. The only ones I think are boldface not true are J Love Hewitt, Kim K, and Jess Alba.

I don’t believe Berry is 5′6. Aniston, Spelling and Lopez all look taller than her. She looks no taller than 5′4. As for Aniston wearing size 0’s maybe in White House Black Market. And no way Kim get’s her butt into a 26. That’s what I wear in 7 jeans. Her waist is the same measurement as mine, I’m 5′6, and her hips are 3″ bigger around than mine, so I know being 3″ larger in the butt would alter your size, unless the petite sizes run different?

Sorry, if Kim’s hips are 40, then their 4″ larger than mine! I was thinking she claimed they were smaller. NO WAY she wears a 2!!! Good grief, I’m 36-26-36 (anything skinnier on me, and I look sick)and can’t fit into anything smaller than a 4/6. I know certain brands are made different, but the only brand that I personnaly know who size their clothing that off is WHBM. I think she is closer to 5′ as well, which then I could see her weighing 118. She is pretty regardless, but why lie when it’s so… unbelievable?

sarah- I look way thinner than alba in my pics,video etc…in my bikini pics I look like lohan( minus boobs and i’m naturally thin) and alba was not this thin at her skinniest!
Maybe it is just me but I was surprised at what big sizes most of the celebs wear. I am 5′3 106 lbs. and work out quite a bit so I have muscles. Still I wear a size 24 jean in every premium jean designer. (I can pull size 25’s off without even unzipping or unbuttoning them!). I also wear a 0, and sometimes those are too big. (I just bought a bunch of BCBG clothing and the zeros are too big). So to me personally being a size 24 jean, size 0 or 00 clothing and XXS, these celebrities where much bigger clothes than I would have thought. Like I said, I workout so I don’t look skinny, thin definitely, but not emaciated.

Geez all these sizes are wrong…who cares anyway?! It all depends on the label, i range from sizes 2-6 and it really depends on the clothing label. All sizing is completely off. The one that is unbelievable to me is mainly Jessica Simpson, I really doubt she was weighs 122 and is a size 4. Kim’s size is already contested and I think she wears a 4 maybe on a good day cause she is small boned. But her ass does not fit into a size 2. You have to have NO ASS to wear size 0 or 2. Anyway, just my two cents, the fact that this tabloid rag printed out a story like this is totally wrong! Makes women who read them have eating disorders. So you guys should take it with a grain of salt.

It sucks they cant tell us their REAL sizes. I dont think any of these girls are too fat, some are too skinny, but not too fat. I feel like you should own up to your real size because telling the world you are a size 2 when you look like a size 8 makes girls feels like they are fat for being a size 4/6…… everyone has body issues and everyone is beautiful in their own body. it really needs to based on person to person and not “well Im a size 2 and she is a size 2″…..yes, maybe true, but they dont have to same body shape.

Ok, I think these weights and sizes are correct when the celebs are at their optimum shape, like when they’ve temporarily slimmed down for a movie or a tour or something, but this is not what they weigh all the time (especially with chronic yo yoers like Jessica Simpson and Mariah Carey, even Eva and Jennifer A. fluctuate a lot).. except for Kim K.. I think she is never a size 2 or 118 lbs. I’m curious as to whether Jessica Simpson actually dropped the 20 lbs she gained, or if that’s an old photo. It looks like an old one to me, since she looks way smaller than even the pics from two weeks ago. If she’s actually done that she must have really starved.
Kim proved on her website already that her fat ass has to be smashed like crescent roll dough into a size 27 jean. I don’t know what she thought she was proving. If you have cameltoe, it means you need to go up four sizes.

Blackbird- Do you live in the US? 110 pounds on a 5′2 person is not even close to average! 110 pounds for 5′2 is the ideal weight, but the average weight is 140. Read up before you post info that is way off!

That the weights listed are a bit off in some cases is a given. But as some others have commented, I think most of the people on this list are reporting their “height” as measured in a moderate heeled shoe. Has anyone seen Mariah Carey in person? Is she really 5 ft 9??? I am certain the Jen Aniston number is a boosted height as well. If not, I frankly think she would be more like a size 2/4. Of the famous people I have seen in person, one thing that stands out immediately for all of them is how short they are. I assume it makes framing camera shorts and filming easier to have people be more or less the same size–

Yeah right. I’m 5′4 and 108 lbs (so this is like a 20 lb difference here if I add 5 lbs per inch)and a size 26 jean fits me perfectly. And I have a pretty small bum compared to Kim’s!! She just HAS to be lying. There’s no doubt about it.

I think a lot of these numbers are wrong. I bet some eating disordered girls will pick up this magazine, read these stats, get scared when they find out they are the same size as Kim, and start starving/purging themselves.
So the only good this magazine will do by revealing the “true” stats of these stars is ignite more body-image problems in those with eating disorders. Hopefully those with a clear mind can discern the inaccuracies of these stats. But I am worried about how this article will affect those who suffer from eating disorders.

first of all, blackbird…my weight fluctuates between 116-120 and i’m 5′2 and wear a 2/4 27 ” and am very petite. 118 is NOT heavy for a 5′2 woman who has very LITTLE fat on her body!
I have to say, while I would normally disagree with almost all of those sizes and weights, I ran a 5k today in which Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, and Jennifer Connelly were there, and they were MUCH thinner in real life than you’d expect. We have to remember the camera does add weight, and you’d be surprised how small some of these women were in person. Jennifer Connelly SERIOUSLY looked like she needed to eat a steak. So while I disagree with Kardashian’s weight always, they may not be totally off. It’s also frustrating because I am a size 6 and weigh 140+ at 5′6 because I am athletic, and it’s basically implying that if you’re not 110 pounds, you MUST be fat. There are lots of people out there with large “numbers” but small frames because they’re athletes. And given how much some of these celebs work out, I find it hard to believe their weights are all so low. But I think everyone would freak if they read that a celeb was 140 pounds.
I do have to say though, after rereading, Jessica Alba isn’t a 25. She’s more like a 26/27.
Kim Kardashian is ridiculous. I’m 5′3, 121-123 lbs, 36-24-36 and I hardly wear 26-27 jean size and size 2. So if she is shorter than me and weighs only 3 lbs less AND here measurments are 34-26-39 then HOW THE HELL could she be my size?! Silly girl.

People defend kim saying “oh she’s really tiny, so she probably isn’t lying” what’s your definition of tiny? being 5′2″? There are a ton of girls who are also 5′2″… and she is definitely 125 at the least, which is still a perfectly good weight… but she needs to stop lying about those 10 pounds.
i actually think the weights are pretty accurate except tori’s which i think is AT LEAST ten pounds over her real weight. i am the same height and weigh less than that and i look healthy and curvy and she looks like walking death. don’t forget how much weight the camera adds. you would probably be shocked by how skinny these girls are in real life.

I feel your frustration, saviana. I’m a size 6 and around 140 lbs too, but people think I’m like 125 because a lot of it’s muscle (although I’m not completely fat-free). That’s why I have trouble believing Jessica Simpson’s stat particularly, because she is muscular and therefore should have more poundage even if she looks (kinda) small sometimes.

I have seen Mariah Carey in a department store (hardly anyone else in the store) about 9 years ago but she is definitely around 5′9. Hallie Berry used to go to the same salon I did when she was married to Dave Justice. Tiny (5′5 tops)but very fit at the time (and she is still gorgeous judging from photos). They are all lovely-well Tori should tone down the look a bit.
