Jessica Simpson Plans Reality-TV Series

According to various news sources, Jessica Simpson has plans to do a new reality show that focuses on body image, weight and beauty.
The singer, who has repeatedly faced public scrutiny for her fluctuating weight, has reportedly visited TV networks to pitch a reality series titled “The Price of Beauty.”
The show will be based on society’s outlook of women’s bodies, Us Weekly reports in its upcoming issue.
“She and a friend set off on a road trip around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why,” says a source.
Somehow I’m not surprised that she is doing something like this, given how many “How I Lost Weight” tabloid cover stories have run in the past few years!

I think her figure is adorable, it´s just that the clothes are totally uflattering. She´s a lovely curvacious woman who in my opinion doesn´t know how to dress.

She is a curvy lady. Take into consideration fast food diets, and the average weight of a north american woman, and Jessica Simpson is not far from average.
I think if we all posted pictures of ourselves on here, we would get much worse ratings than most of these stars.
I think it’s really nice that somebody who works in the superficial industry feels that bringing attention to our distorted view of what we think we should look like.
When we look down on women like Jessica Simpson for having extra weight on her body, we are promoting eating disorders.

if she weren’t the one hosting it, I would definitely watch it. Since it is her and she set herself up to be marketed as a bimbo, I doubt I’d be able to sit through it.
She doesn’t look bad…She just needs a stylist. Beyonce has the same curves as does Shakira but they dress to SUIT them which makes all the difference. She is a pretty alright looking girl, and I think if she changed the way she dresses it would benefit her. I am curious as to how good her new show will be. I like the central focus of it.
I hope they show it in England. It would be interesting to hear what she has to say

this is pathetic. this woman is sadly ONLY sucessful when shes doing her sad, scripted little reality shows. She is not famous for really anything else. shes not known as a great singer, actor, or savvy business woman. i feel embarassed for her. she should just go away back to the south and live a normal life.

In all honesty, if she was a different race she could get away with this, but she’s even bigger compared to Kim K. I think in reality she looks fine and curvy, but with hollywood standards she needs to lose 20 pounds and keep it off. jessica Simpson is not naturally small and we all know she is a yo yo dieter which doesn’t help the issue.
I’d watch it because of the topic not because of her, even though I don’t mind her. I enjoy seeing chubby but goodlooking celebrities, it makes me feel better.
The show idea is good but to have Jessica a part of it is just stupid. She can’t turn around and “speak out” against pressures to look a certain way when she had NO problem dancing around in practically nothing during the “Dukes” movie.

There’s nothing wrong with her body, it’s just the tasteless things she WEARS that gives off the impression that she’s “too big” or whatever people are saying. For example, that outfit, isn’t appealing on ANYONE.

miss me and others who think she is fat–I actually feel sorry for you if you truly think she is fat. That statement portrays you as someone who lives a very shallow, plastic life. Jessica is the epitome of a full-figured gal, but not fat. ‘Hollywood’ is not the real world…or a world on which you should set your diet standards!
She should stick to what she’s best at, comedy!
