Throughout most of 90210’s first season, Jessica was in the news because of her alarmingly thin figure. However, in the past couple of months she has gained a little weight back, making her look slim but healthier.
Here is a before-and-after comparison:

i think she still is skinny.. not huge difference..
I don’t see any big difference. She looks skinny on both pics.
She looks so more healthy now! I’m glad she is taking better care of herself because regardless of how she feels about being a role model she must remember that girls try to emulate people who seem to have the life they dream of.
She maybe gained just a few lbs.

are ya’ll kidding?! there is definitely a difference!! she’s super tall (like 5′8″? or 5′9″?) so considering that she’s probably put on a good 15 lb. she’s still really toned so looks good. she looks a lot healthier but still slim!
She is still a bit too thin, but she definitely looks sooo much better than before! She is one gorgeous girl….I just hope she stays healthy!
I think she looks fabulous. She’s absolutely beautiful. And her skin is absolutely glowing now.
um she looks like she gained about… a pound ? lol she’s cute either way
oh and i think she’s the best actress on the show by far

I actually think she looks much better in the April 2009 picture. Her face looks tired and stressed in the May picture. She doesn’t look like she has gained much weight.

She has maybe gained a few pounds – you can see it in her thighs, but it’s only a few. I mean, she doesn’t look healthy.

i think the tan is making her look SLIGHTLY heavier, but id say she gained five pounds max
the ‘weight’ she gained back looks to be primarily muscle. she looks hot.
Looks like a ten pound gain to me. She looks good eitherway, I really like her!
She is absolutely stunning. Her looks come across as natural, unpretentious, and effortless. So pretty.
yeah she has gained so has shenae. Looks a lot better now but still clearly underweight.

Haha…I didn’t even notice her one eyebrow being different from the other until someone mentioned it. I think she looks lovely now. I don’t see much of a weight gain but her smile looks more genuine than in April 2008 where she looked like she was going to collapse from the effort of smiling.

There is no difference! The difference is her pose and how far away she is from the lens. She is glowing because of a tan, and her hair makes her head look bigger. That said, i’m actually jealous!
I think she’s gained 4 lbs or so MAX. Not a big difference. She’s beautiful, but she could use a few more pounds on her scrawny frame!

there IS a difference but I think she look gorgeous in both photos. She is a very very attractive girl. The waif look actually suits her and doesn’t make her look ill.

i do see some difference, but not that easily. despite that i think she has an absolutely gorgeous face and is very lucky that the weight loss hasn’t shown up on her face. i think she’s still really skinny, but it suits her somehow.

I can’t see any difference except that the dress is longer now and she looks more tanned. But she looks beautiful, love the dress.

yeah… all the bones that were showing before are still very prominent, her waist looks a tad bigger but that might have to do w/ the dress or the fact that the newer pic is shot closer. her biceps/arms do look less stringy though, so i think that’s the only differencce that really shows here. maybe the knees are a LITTLE bit less bony too. as for pounds, i really can’t tell. someone said she’s a tall girl, and i’m a 5′3, i’m always completely clueless of how much tall people weight, they might be surprisigly “heavy” looking thin, and then again might weight basically the same as the shorter girls and still look just skinny but not anorexic.. but i think she has gained some, looking pretty good. only the knees really bother me, but maybe that’s just the way she’s built

That’s very strange. It seems that she does not gain any weight in her legs, and when she loses weight, it REALLY comes from her legs.

jenny- for a general rule for height weight you should add about 3.5/4lb per inch, e.g. 5′2 person weighing 110lb is a similar bmi to a 5′8 person weighing 133lb. However its still not that accurate because some tall people look slimmer because they carry the weight better and some short people look slimmer because they are more generally petite

i hate to say it…but i think she looks better in the before pic..and my reasoning is that her legs look the same in both pics but in the second one her legs look like toothpicks compared to the rest of her body which looks much thicker..i think in the before picture she just looks better

Terrible dress, shape and colour. She should stop trying to wear high waist’s they don’t suit her.
Change the colour palate too, nude’s wash her out. She could look ten times better with very little effort.

Pretty face and I can see where she has gained just a few maybe. She looks better and with less bobble head effect. On a side note, her 90210 character Silver is super annoying and craaazy lately.
She looks like Jennifer Connelly a little in the face in that first photo (right side). She looks good with the tan and yes she has put on a little weight, in the collar bone are for sure she is more filled out. She looks better at this weight, IMO.

If there is a difference other than poor choice of dress in the newer picture, than I don’t see it. She is just as bony and icky as ever. Girl needs some pounds, she would look so much prettier.

Think that Jessica does look to have put on a few lbs (although NOT TOO MUCH). She is a very TALL girl (5′8″).
It looks like maybe she has added some muscle tone to her body. She looks better, more healthy but still looks on the thin side. But at least she is quite as “waifish”.

in a year and 1 month gaining 5pounds (AT THE MOST) is not a big improvement. she just looks tanner than the 2008 pic..but very thin in BOTH..but she looks great i love her figure :} and her eyes&eye makep is perfect on her<3

Where’s the difference?
There’s not enough difference for the public to say ” Wow, she’s gaining weight!” Maybe by Hollywood standard’s a 5 pound weight gain equates to being fat or heavier, but not for us here in the real world.
I can’t see the difference as well. She need to gain at least 10 pounds to look healthy. She has scary knees!

i think she looks great! there is definitely a difference, although she is still very thin, but not overly so anymore. did anyone see the part in the 90210 episode 2 weeks ago when she was getting a spray tan? she looked so tiny! not an ounce of fat!

I’m going to be honest here, I really don’t see a difference except for the fact that she’s more tan in the after shot. She might look a bit healthier around the midsection, but I think that’s more to do with the cut of the dress. She looks like she’s gained 3lbs at most.
She looks more lean to me, she doesn’t necessarily look heavier just more muscular and fit. I like her new body, I can see a definite difference, not so waif looking.
She looks better than she did a few months ago, but she is still way too skinny. At least she’s going to the right direction.

She gained lean muscle which is why the difference isn’t that discernable. This is what people mean when they say why don’t models gain weight. They don’t mean why don’t they get fat.
She looks healthier and is probably happier but she’s still lean and thin.
These aren’t the best photos to see the actual difference in her weight change. I’ve seen plenty of others of her when she was at her low weight, and the difference is marked. She’s gained about 15lbs., and has added muscle, which is good. She really hadn’t looked well before. I like a very thin appearance, just not when it comes to resulting in making yourself ill.
