Bit too much fake going on, I’m not liking her eye’s for some reason.
She is very slender—she talked about how she gained weight when they went to Miami—she told Regis on the show–she does look thicker around the middle on a side view compared to a straight front view—but not much.
Her husband is hotter. She looks good, but too thin in my opinion. If she gained a few but continued the work out plan then she’s look fantastic.

i just checked that she’s only 38. i thought she was like 45, seriously. And even more so BECAUSE she looks so fit, i guess i was thinking like, at what age would that look fit and youthful. Well, skinniness does that to you, hardens your features and brings out every da*n little wrinkle you have. she’s beautiful still
oh and if 7 yrs doesn’t seem like that much, it is, because i was putting her along side with all the 40 somethings, and image-wise there sure is a difference(not a bad one, just is, and to every year it’s own image

The dress compliments her eyes and she is pretty; I just cannot get past the chest bones….not attractive though I don’t think there is anything she can do about that. I don’t even think 10lbs would change that. Small ribcage?

Yeah, she works hard for her body, but she’s worked a little too hard IMO. There is no softness left…it doesn’t look good. From what I see/hear, I think she’s obsessed with her body and working out/staying extremely thin.

i don’t know how to feel about her.. i think she COULD look great, but doesn’t. because she’s obviously HEALTHY, people jump to defend her on that basis alone, but for me, aesthetically, i think she’d look better if she were just a little softer… maybe a little less muscle tone, not even necessarily more body fat.. but just.. less masculine. and please don’t jump on me for using that word, to me, that’s just how she looks! women with THAT much muscle tone which you can ONLY get from working out a ton, just don’t look attractive or feminine to me – and i think feminine spans a large range from willowy thin to bountiful, voluptuous curves.
Have to admit that I aree with Jade & Fiona…Kelly loooks much more lovely (gorgeous) in clothes (especially when she is dressed “to the nines”) than she did in her Miami bikini pics the 1st week of May when ‘Live W/Regis & Kelly Show’ was shooting down in Miami. I just cannot get over that (bikini) pic on this site of her collarbones and
chest bones looking caved in and “sharp looking” where her cleaveage should be PLUS her hugely over muscular upper arms! On a POSITIVE NOTE, loved the dress she wore wore to the ABT (American Ballet Theater) last night. She looked stunning in the (navy) dress and it did bring out her beautiful eyes. She look less too skinny in this particular dress.

I’m bored of Kelly Ripa. But it’s true, she looks super-fantastic for 38, or however old she is… I also agree with whoever said that she wished she wasn’t too lazy to workout enough to look that amazing.
Too much muscle, she should lighten up on the working out to give her more of a softer look. Her poses look like those of a body building competition. Yuck!

no no no no no… I don’t understand people complaining about how skinny lindsay, nicky hilton etc. are and then praising someone like kelly ripa who obviously also has a serious weight issue! she’s probably counting more calories than lindsay, who might have a serious drug and mental problem but I don’t think it’s just counting calories, that leads to her skinny figure. some of you guys don’t seem to understand that too much exercising and dieting (which she obviously does, I’m sure she’s not having a healty portion of pasta with fresh tomato sauce after her workout!) is BAD for your body too! this woman hasn’t got the least bodyfat. I appreciate people looking after themselves, doing excercise and eating healty, but you can also go over the top with it. this woman seems obsessed to be thin.
and besides that: women with no boobs at all should’nt be wearing tube-dresses.

very skinny chicks always look great in clothes (well if they make good choices) and she is no different in a beautifull dress and great hair/make-up…i actually beieve she looks not too bad in a bikini because she has atleast tried to work on her muscles (her butt and arms are brilliant) compared to say skin and bones paris hilton or lindsay lohan in a bikini

I think she looks gorgeous! So what if she looks a little older than she is, she still looks classy. And with all these people who say she needs boobs, if she got fake boobs people would be saying she looks weird having such a large chest on such a petite body! Can’t win for losin’.

While she certainly looks slim, I think she might overdo it on the exercise as she’s starting to get butch. Being so petite, it doesn’t look the greatest.

whocares: UM.. I wasn’t just referring to her height. I am pretty sure that her genetic make up did not dictate that she came out of the womb with that muscle tone. It is clear from her appearance that a lot of work goes into maintaining that shape, and not purely ‘genetics’. OK?

KissMyKiwi, I understand why “whocares” took offense. (I’m also 5′2″) Your original post states that she’s cute and her body is in good shape but it lookes like her growth has been stunted, so the only negative thing you refer to is her height. Which is genetic.

Compare her to her days on All My Children and she has a completely different body..she claims she is naturally tiny and her weight only fluctuated when pregnant. Not true. She obviously works crazy hard to be that tiny. Her workout routine is pretty crazy and she must hardly eat.
She would be an example of someone who would probably be labeled with an eating disorder/exercise obsessive if she lived in ‘the real world’ and not a celebrity.

So true if u look at pictures of her from all my children or even the first year she was on with regis her body was completely different. Some of you might even call her fat. However, I love her body, and how tone it is. I keep a picture of her on my wall in my room. every time I go to reach for the ice cream I think would kelly ripa eat that!!! NO!!! Also I keep a picture of marc jacobs bc if he can go from being gross and fat to hot and skinny, so can I. Rian, you should do a post on him. Men should be held to the same standards as women. Also speaking of designers google and read this amazing article about karl legerfild (designs for chanel)in the new yorker. About how he use to be fat, ate baby food, lost all his weight, and now hates fat people. Totally a siziest

I love the dress on her, think she looks really pretty. She does look a lot better covered up more and not showing her toothpick legs/bony chest. I am a Kelly fan, but really wish she would gain 10lbs to get some softness back. She obviously works out WAY too much and barely eats, even her comments on Regis indicate it regarding calories/gym. I’m all for being healthy, but she’s has taken it to the way extreme imo.
