Because Karolina went up and down in weight over the past year or so, there (of course) had been some pregnancy rumors. However, Karolina revealed earlier this year that she suffers from Hypothyroidism, a condition that sometimes causes weight gain and makes it difficult to lose.
I think she looks fabulous and slim… what do you all think?

love her figure, not her face though…
She’s the most beautiful from all VS models, great face, great body, she always looks like an angel!!
poor girl. hypothyroidism occurs as a result of anorexic eating habbits. starvation slows down metabolism. i might have the same problem.
you have to update more often on this site!!
Karolina looks great now, but she did’nt a while ago. Poor girl – up and down weight can’t be easy..
don’t believe the Hypothyroidism thing. I get Hypothyroidism too, when I eat too much ;D but nevertheless she’s a very beautiful and attractive woman.
Love her. I think she is an odd looking beauty, but a beauty none-the-less. She seems super sweet too. I think she’s lost a few since the last VS show. Don’t know whats up with that partial snuggie looking shirt though,ew.
Oohh! I like her better as a blonde! But she is gorgeous.
I think she’s adorable.
And Sanna, I’m glad you’re able to make medical decisions without the 7+ years of training it takes to train most people. Hypothyroidism…hypo = low, thyroid = thyroid gland. Your thyroid is in charge of your metabolism. If it’s not functioning at it’s normal level, it allows your metabolism to slow, you gain weight. It’s actually a fairly common problem.
shes beautiful and i wish i were that tall lucky duck
think she has a lovely figure..her face is probably an acquired taste though…that’s pretty odd to hear of a supermodel with a ‘negative’ thyroid problem…if it’s true..she must really work hard for her job. on a side note, why is this filed under celebs in bikinis?
She looks like she never takes herself too seriously… Kinda refreshing!
Great legs.
Wow, without makeup and her victoria’s secret outfits, she looks like just a regular girl! Still beautiful, though.
Not my favorite model but she does look long and slim.
I agree with sanna about the “hypothyroidism” thing. She goes up when she’s run out of cocaine.
hey i suffer from hypothiroidism too i so hate it not only do i feel constantly tired but i also have to watch all the time what i eat to stay skinny. before this i could it all i wanted those days are so gonee noww
ryan could you post something about mischa barton?

LOL hypothyroidism nice excuse for gaining 7 lbs wtf
just ok for me, bordering odd looking. not a fan of her body type, especially her legs.
She’s lucky she’s tall.
I love her unusual face…she looks great to me and it’s fun to see her with her own natural hair color..looks great both ways!! Agree about the shirt though..strange shape…..
Those are wide, child bearing hips.
They look good.
I think all the people making fun of her medical illness are just bitter! She has a thyroid problem and yet stil looks after herself enough to be kept in model shape- i say good for her! By the way Rian, any chance of the kate moss yacht bikini pics?
is it healthy to have a gap between ur legs. i’m just asking bc i noticed most celeb women have a pronounced gap.
yeah more posts of her would be great.
she’s got such a ‘healthy’ model body.
I think she has lost 5 lbs…looks good.
this woman´s success is an enigma to me. o.k.- she has a great body, but her face is just not pretty at all! ´She does not look like a model at all in my opinion…….
OMG
Karolina is looking mighty fine…
I’m such a big fan of her as well as her friend Doutzen. KK should go back doing more high fashion shows.
It looks like she has lost weight. She looks great.
She has great body and a very unexpected face – a good combo for modeling. If any of you are having trouble with your thyroid (I am not a doctor, but I am a scientist) make sure you are getting enough iodine in your diet. It can help speed up your metabolism by allowing your thyroid gland to function more efficiently. This seems common sense but many weight conscience people (who don’t eat french fries) can easily become iodine deficient. Don’t eat too much though, b/c you’ll get zits.
She is definitely healthy skinny. The outfit is kind of boring, but she looks like any other girl.
I don’t think she actually has it because although she did gain a bit last year, it looked like being untoned after a few over-indulgent evenings, rather than someone with an underactive throid. I have an underactive thyroid and it’s hell. Strenuous and lengthy work-outs almost everyday with a horribly basic diet and still finding it so hard to lose weight. I’m not fat, but it just makes you feel like you should be alot smaller than you are given the ammount of exercise and sacrifices.
her legs look great – so long
Beautiful legs, face not that pretty, but it doesn’t matter since she is a model.
And Sanna – I don’t know whether you were trying to make out it’s not real and that hypothyroidism is just eating too much, or you believe you do ‘get’ it, but you don’t. It’s something you have and get diagnosed with and makes your life hell. Stupid skinny girls with their fast metabolisms that gradually slow down leaving them with thighs and a stomach for the first time…
I think she’s beautiful.
Not model thin but looks good. To bad she has hypotryroidism as a model. That must just make it all that much harder to stay supper skinny. Hope the industry is kind to her.
she is reminding me of napoleon dynamite!!
Her legs look amazing in those jeans I thought she was wearing high heels but she is wearing flat and her legs look like that!
Also I AM a doctor and pts newly diagnosed with hypothyroidism can come in with feeling tired weight gain etc.
But if she already knew she had it and was on proper medication there is no time where people just start gaining weight unless they are not compliant with their meds. As a supermodel I doubt she would not be compliant and have the side effect of gaining weight
otherwise if she was already diagnosed and being treated NO you do not just gain random weight. No
hypothyroidism is one of the easiest medical conditions things to correct medically. If anything I think she is a bit lucky because the meds to correct hypothyroidism make the individual thin by increasing their metabolism! so if anything it’s helping her out.
People without hypothyroidism sometimes take these meds to lose weight which is dangerous and it’s always a question on the medical boards, how to tell if someone is just taking it vs. having hypothyroism
Ermm The Jess, I think Sanna was making an ironic remark….
ok to clarify people…you don’t “get hypothyroidism”…i have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and it is a condition, not something you get from bad eating habits or starvation!! if treated properly with daily snythetic thyroid supplements, it can be controlled. but yes, its much harder to maintain a stable weight. its tricky to get the dosage right, but it can be balanced over a couple of years. you never stop taking the meds though, its a lifetime thing…and obviously no one is LUCKY to have their thyroid and metabolism slower than normal…sheesh
I like her jeans and her shirt.
Slim, not thin. I don’t find her anything special to be honest.
So anyone who gains weight and has a hard time losing it has hypothiroidism. That’s beyond stupid. I don’t believe in that. It’s called dieting.
“D-Perfectionist” re: hypothyroidism is caused by anorexic eating habits”: where do you even come up with such garbage? Hypothyroidism is an endocrine disorder, and it’s diagnosed by a doctor. It’s not made up, caused by over or undereating; you cannot ’cause it, trigger it, or bring it on’ by any behaviors. It’s not the same as a ’slowed metabolism’ caused by extreme dieting. Hypothyroidism is when your body cannot produce enough T3 or T4 thyroid hormone on it’s own. The condition can make it impossible to lose weight and much much much easier to gain weight, unless you are diagnosed and on the proper levels of medication. I have no idea if this model is being honest or not about her diagnosis; that’s between herself and her doctor.
I didn’t realize this was a medical site.
Wow, as someone who was diagnosed with hyperthyroid at 19 and then had to have my thyroid basically killed with radiation so I didn’t die (this turned it hypo) I have to say the ignorant comments about a serious health condition on here are amazing. If she was hyper and then became hypo due to treatment it makes it super easy to gain weight. I gained 45 lbs. in about 4 months just from looking at food. And it took a long time to regulate my meds, but I still get checked every 3 months, 11 years after diagnosis (just showing how it can be hard to regulate even over time). Hypo gives you no appetite and no energy, plus your metabolism is practically going backwards it’s so slow. The condition also makes you look “puffy” and untoned. It’s not caused by anorexia or any other habits, it’s mostly hereditary. I can’t believe how mean and nasty some people can be. Issues with thyroids are pretty common and yet amazingly undiagnosed. They cause emotional, physical and sometimes social issues. To the idiots that are making negative comments: Get the facts or Shut it. As for Karolina, she’s beautiful and seems really down to earth. Hope she stays healthy.
lizzie, maybe you should do your homework. no one said this applies to everyone. it requires extensive blood work and thyroid stress tests to determine if someone has hypothyroidism and to what degree. hypothyroidism can cause goiters in the neck when the case is severe.
eee i dont know, the sad thing is she looked killer when she was slim- because she still had muscle and had such a hot butt + waist + legs plus boobs… she looks flabby now, definately lost some weight, but i dont believe the hypothyroidism thing…
I think we can all agree…Sanna is an idiot.
I like these photographs; she just looks like your average, unfussy New York beauty on the street. Which is a look that seems much more easily obtained than ‘Supermodel’.
Nice legs
I have hypothyroidism, and it usually comes from genetics. I have to take synthroid for the rest of my life every day and hey! All my symptoms are gone! It wasn’t not be able to loose weight, it was the freakin’ joint pain, the bruising, the hard time concentrating, always tired! always! Why do celebrities use it as an excuse for gaining weight? The weight is never the worse for people who have it. It’s all the other problems.
everyone here seems to have hypothyroidism… i didn’t realize it was that common…?
yup, she’s slimmed down (15 lbs maybe). 5′11, 130?
GREAT LEGS…!!
she looks good again!yayyyyy.
she looks healthy!
Wow, I am surprised at how people on here have hypothyroidism like me. I have had Hypothyroidism since I was and now I am in my twenties. I have to take Synthroid for the rest of my life. I have gone through so many different dosages since being diagnosed. It is very hard for me to lose weight and very easy for me to gain weight. I never feel hungry yet it is easy for me to gain weight. My doctor recently told me if my dosage is too high and my T3 and T4 levels are too high then I could be at risk from going from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism. At times, I hate having hypothyroidism but I know that I have just have to deal with it day by day.
ok i havent posted in a while but i just have to say i am appalled at the ignorance on here….get a clue people hypothyroidism is a real medical condition and can be really serious if not treated
on topic of the pics, shes a really pretty chick nice legs
ironically, hypothyroidism runs in my family. great gmom, gmom, mom, 2 brothers, and myself have it.
i have been the only fortunate one to not gain weight. in fact, i loss weight. the med’s that the doctors put my mom, brothers, and grandma on really made them blow up. my grandma was able to lose the weight, but both my mom and brother (who were very skinny previously) have had a difficult time.
hypothyroidism can be extremely serious. my mom seems to have the ‘worst’ case out of all of us. she can barely function… brushing her teeth is enough and she’ll fall asleep. for those of you who don’t know, hypothyroidism causes people to get tired and almost lethargic. on the other hand, there is hyperthyroidism which is the reverse reaction. both can be serious.
in any event, i she looks great and in shape
she’s beautiful.
love her.
she looks amazing!
