Does anyone else find this hilarious? I mean, clearly the girl doesn’t eat this stuff, according to her own admission that she eats mostly fruits, veggies and sushi.

That burger only has 660 calories. If Audrina maintains her weight on 1500 calories a day, she could fit one of those in her diet occasionally.
Her body looks amazing as usual but I think it is unethical to promote eating that garbage/poison. This is nonsense. Since the general public is so influenced by celebrities, I’d like to see more celebs rolling around on the beach with an apple or a piece of lettuce.
I actually think the burger looks good a little too big but it looks tasty as for the ad it’s a bit corny, but it’s not the first time carl’s jr does this so it’s not unexpected.

Fast food isn’t poison. Eating only apples and lettuce isn’t a balanced diet. Saying things like that is only encouraging eating disordered behavior. The first thing you are taught in ED treatment is that no food is bad OR good, all food & exercise in moderation, eat when you are hungry, stop when you are full, and you’ll be a healthy weight.
It is pretty hypocritical, but what’s worse is the amount of air-brushing they’ve done to her. She looks like a hunk of plastic.

In response to “S”…With all respect, I never mentioned anything about eating ONLY an apple or a piece of lettuce and promoting EDs is the furthest thing from my mind. Additionally, fast food IS sort of poison because the meat contains antibiotics, hormones, and preservatives. Finally, if you’ve been in ED treatment, you know that it isn’t caused by posts on the internet. I agree with your other comments about not eating after you’re full.
You know what’s most hilarious about this ad…she JUST did an ad for PETA. It was for adoption – but still, either she’s just a wonky eyed, money grubbing whore who doesn’t give a sh$%# or she seriously is so stupid she doesn’t even know what PETA is all about. Either way I wouldn’t be surprised.
If I were PETA I would sue her. Thank God I think better of my free time and brain cells, than to put myself through an episode of The Hills.

i am as skinny has her, trust me, i eat atleast 2 of those a week, cant help it, i live close to a burger king! i consider it a good meal, not junk food. what people dont undestand is that if you eat too much of anything, then it becomes junk, in your stomach, on your hips. balance of everything in life is important. i have a friend who constently went on about her weight, i got so fed up, i just told her, if you think your so fat, stop eating so much! now she’s on a diet. i’m glad, if that works, i dont have to listen to her grumbling everytime we meet up for a meal.

This is actually a pretty effective ad. That huge burger is not generally geared towards women, and all of these comments would never cross a man’s mind. When it comes to women and eating, they are absolutely clueless. I got the most comments about looking good from men when I was sick… no wonder there are so many EDs… Society sucks.

I’ve not heard of this company, but that burger looks good to me, perfect cure for a hangover. She may be skinny but if she gets it by eating very little she’s no healthier than someone who is over weight. I was always taught everything in moderation, and that seems to work. The ad is absolutely self-aware. Everything everyone is commenting on, about how only men would like something like this and how it’s totally stupid to think we would think she really eats that stuff…these comments are valid only if the ad were absolutely serious. But it is not some grand marketing scheme. The advertisers are playing on hypersexualized advertising culture and making a joke on it. They picked a star who was washed up before she ever even got famous and put her in a bikini with a burger. In no way do the creators of this ad think they are getting more customers because of her body or the message behind it. They are hoping to get more customers/generally more publicity because of the hilarity/ridiculousness of the ad. If I’m not mistaken, Carl’s Jr. did this same exact thing with Paris Hilton. The advertisers are infinitely more intelligent than Paris or Audrina, two girls that contribute nothing to this world…I think the ad guys know what they’re doing. Hey, if anything, it caught all of our attention, and how many people don’t want a burger now?
