I agree with @londoncalling on both points: though many people seem to dislike her, I find her charming, and that is a tough outfit in which to look svelte.
She has been frightfully thin in the past,and it didn’t seem natural to her. It’ll be too bad if she turns into a yoyo-er…possible, though, since she’s into high fashion.

she has definitely gained. The outfit is not flattering, it looks comfortable but I’d only wear it to the gym or hanging around the house.

I agree with the OP – leggings are very hard to pull off. I would never wear them as pants myself. I usually rock them under a skirt.
Not digging the outfit what so ever. The bag is cute though. And yeah, she does seem to have gained a little but I think the outfit makes her look bigger than she really is.
For some reason……I want to shave her!
Business lunch? The only kind of business that should be conducted in this sorry ensemble is doing laundry or picking up the kids from gymastics practice.

What a 5′7″ beauty!
I have never seen the attraction, I never will. I don’t like the paleness on her as I might appreciate it in others. I don’t like her Sweet Polly Purebread face (as in Underdogs girlfriend with the large nose). I don’t like her body when it’s at any weight.
This is the first time in a long time that I’ve given someone a total of two thumbs down.
To: londoncalling..I am totally in agreement w/you. Those leggings and flats are very difficult to “pull off” (except maybe on an Olsen twin or Nicole Richie when she is not preggers); although, I did see Nicole with a short black/gray metallic dress & leggings while she was about 4 or 5 months preggers w/Harlow and she rocked the leggings look! Also @ londoncalling…think we are “like-minded” in that I, too, really like Anne…she IS likeable & charming and does NOT “put on airs” (as many other actresses seem to have a propensity to do.) Anne has a Talent in that she is sweet, charming and does not put herself on a pedestal (sp??)! IMHO, I think that, perhaps, Anne has put on approx. 8 lbs (no more than 10 lbs) since “Bride Wars” w/Kate Hudson (and Anne was told to lose a few lbs for that part). She became frightening borderline scary skinny back then…but she was also dealing with that guy who got sent to jail…lot of pressures going on in her life at the same time (approximately). Anne looks slim/thin now and I think that this outfit is totally UNFLATTERING on her & definitely (with the horizontally striped top); the entire ensemble does “not do a body good” as far as Anne’s attire (clothing) giving an illusion of a bit more of weight gain than she really has added. She looks to be perfect weight wise (except in this outfit) NOW.

she has put on weight since Bride Wars- but she was too skinny in that movie she made Kate Hudson look fat.
She should NOT be wearing leggings. She doesn’t have the legs for them.

she got scary skinny last year because she was using a lot of blow. but i prefer her curvy, like she was in ‘princess diaries’.

Ugh. Some random person in a grocery store once told me I look like her. I almost punched him.
Cotton leggings like this have to be the single most un-flattering article of clothing, especially when paired with a cotton shirt that will “stick” to the leggings. She should have worn a more “flowy” shirt that would hang better.
That said, I really like her, and I do not think she has gained, just chose an unfortunate outfit.

And I agree with Kianna that londoncalling’s comments are “spot on.” Whereas mine go “splatt.” It’s a nice mixture.
She has a lovely face. The leggings don’t look good on her but she looks fit.
She’s one of these people that I see in photos and think, “God she looks so weird,” but when I see her in a movie, I think she’s just gorgeous.

Wow, she definitly has gained, she is fatter than me now. And I used to think her figure was perfect … looks like nobody’s perfect while eating like a normal person.
She was only out for a casual lunch, doing the paper crossword! Most people would want to be comfortable, not dolled up and awkward! Give her a break! She is 95% slimmer than most women. She is tall with long legs, a natural pretty face and a good career sold on her talents, not just her looks. I doubt that many people giving her bad comments here can rival that?

IMO she dresses like that to be incognito… that`s exactly what I would do if I was a celeb, dress down in a way that no one would see you standing next to them. I utubed some pap-stuff yesterday and, boy, it must be such a hassle to have them hanging around your face all the time!!
And don`t come up with that bull: Celebs like that, they wanna have all the attention and etc> It`s not because a person loves to act or sing that they nececarily want their every move to be exposed all the time to the grand public.
The most unfortunates are those children and babies of celebs.. they get flashed in the face as soon they get out the door! There should be a law against that, the paps shouldn`t be alowd to get closer then 100m ( I am a photographer and I know there`s material enough to take shots from a distance ).
Anyway, that got to me last night.
