for models… i think they should be this thin.. anything else on the runway unfortunately looks atrocious.. However.. there is a fine line-some are simply anorexic

  2. jacqui | 9/07/09

    first

  3. Lia | 9/07/09

They’re gorgeous and thin. The first model does look a bit on the scary thin side though.

  4. Silvian | 9/07/09

    they look good weight wise.

  5. Angie | 9/07/09

    Scary Skinny!!!

  6. ... | 9/07/09

number 3 and 4 are okay, i think.

    but 1 and 2… don’t like it.

  7. whocares | 9/07/09

Knees should not be wider than upper thighs. Sorry.

  8. londoncalling | 9/07/09

Designers are not supposed to use very skinny models anymore since a couple died of ED, they are still small compare to the average person but no too bad, i love the clothes, the first ant the last are very very nice.

  9. Draccae | 9/07/09

They are very thin. Probably too thin to be healthy. The last two look better than the first two, IMO…and the shoulders of the first girl just look too frail. I love that last dress, it looks like something from a golden era horror movie!

  10. mareena | 9/07/09

they are thin but they r much better than the girls we used to see a couple of years ago

  11. skinny minny | 9/07/09

Does anyone else see that weird thing between the models knees in the 2nd pic??

    It looks so deformed!!

  12. becky | 9/07/09

The second one is Anna Selezneva, gorgeous model. Every aspect of fashion is about fantasy and the unattainable…price tags which only a select few people on the whole planet can pay, models who are inpossibly tall and thin- human clothes hangers which not many people lool like. Yet we all admire the creations and the people selected to wear them because they influence so much and are fascinatingly beautiful and unreachable! Accept it for what it is or don’t, i’m not saying it’s right it’s just the reality and we seem to be loving it so far…!

  13. Jennelle | 9/07/09

They are really thin but I think if a supermodel was curvy and too sexy the focus would not be on the clothes anymore.

  14. mars in velvet | 9/07/09

Love the clothes, and yes they are very thin, but I think runway models should be allowed to be thin, afterall, its their job…

  15. John Valencia | 9/07/09

This is the way a real model should look like. Nothing more, nothing less. Wonderful.

  16. Julie | 9/07/09

    whocares, you said it!!

  17. wellilikelikefashion | 9/07/09

These girls look inhuman (plus without matter what weight, also sick), you should know that..? It’s weird that you even ask…

  18. ln | 9/07/09

Ick, no desire to look that way. Amazing dresses though.

  19. hihaters | 9/07/09

I think it’s digusting when it’s unnatural and they have sucken in faces. My sis is 5ft8 naturally 110 pds and does not diet or exercise but her cheeks aren’t sucken in cause it’s her natural weight. If they want to use thin girls they should go find the naturally thin ones that don’t look ill.

Number two makes me have the chills just icky look at her face.

  20. Mel | 9/07/09

Wow I LOVE the dress in the last pic. It is gorgeous!!

But those women are so frail! They look like they are going to break in half! I like being thin, but I don’t think I’d ever want to get down to that size. It doesn’t look healthy.

  21. seagull | 9/07/09

haha this is ridiculous…I used to look like this as a young teen…5′10 105lbs…it might pass as ok on foto (although come girls, you DO know better right!?), but I assure you that in real life I looked a bit like a giraffe stuck in a human body..completely out of place and retardet to look at..people used to comment on my body constantly, asking if I shouldn’t get help.. nothing ever fit clothes wise, and since I looked like a hunger victim I wasn’t crazy about showing off my body anyway.
    Thank god puberty is over:)
I love fashion but the auschwitz look is beyond me..?!??

  22. Girl Butt | 9/07/09

    NINETEENTH!!

  23. Christina | 9/07/09

Holy beanpole, Batman, her calves are the same size as her thighs!

  24. fitgirl | 9/07/09

    Too thin.

  25. MelodySoul | 9/07/09

These girls are frighteningly thin. I can see why runway models should be thin but I think that they should still be at a healthy weight. This just promotes eating disorders and is unhealthy.

  26. happygolucky | 9/07/09

If you’re old enough to remember, models didn’t always look like this. The classics — Linda, Naomi, Christy, et al.– were certainly thin, but not to this extent. And they certainly didn’t look “atrocious”. There’s something more going on here, too –the dead eyes and grim facial expressions. Even if these women aren’t really sick, they look unwell and unhappy, and they’re kind of typical of what you see today on the runway. To my mind, the old aesthetic was much more beautiful.

  27. Cossey | 9/07/09

    Spinners….all of them!!

  28. spanktacular | 9/07/09

the girl in the 2nd pic is GORGEOUS!

  29. S | 9/07/09

In general of course they are too thin, but I’ve seen runway models that look way more emaciated than these girls.

They shouldn’t be this thin though, it sets an unhealthy standard for women everywhere.

  30. loveemedo | 9/07/09

1 and 2 make me shudder.

shame- 2 could actually be quite stunning, unfortunately she doesnt have the strength to stun anything!

  31. londoncalling | 9/07/09

@happygolucky, its true what you are saying, those supermodels had curves especially Cindy Crawford, the smallest one was Kate moss, but this models are not too thin like they use to be only few years back, they use to be that small that even one of vogue director complain about them.

  32. Jade | 9/07/09

The first and second one look way too skinny for sure, the fourth I can’t tell. Oh well, if they want to starve themselves to death I couldn’t care less.

  33. shaun | 9/07/09

    **I agree with S

this is almost the fat bunch of models walking down a runway, I say that sarcastically. i have been to some shows and the girls are so skinny, and the clothes are so heavy, one doesnt know if they are going to make it to the end of the runway.

And i always say this. u think people like marica cross, and gisele are skinny in pictures, wait to you see them in person, they are even skinner, sad but true… Never forget the time i first met Sarah Jessica Parker, I mean it was appauling how skinny she was in person

  34. Duchess | 9/07/09

    ah clavicles………..

  35. Nic | 9/07/09

i thing its ok… they are not too thin.

  36. c. | 9/07/09

the 3rd one wins, but the rest… good luck ladies for getting a man.

  37. starfire | 9/07/09

They are models. So YES they should be that thin.

    Love the last dress.

  38. girly girl | 9/07/09

I think some of these insanely thin women are actually naturally THAT thin for part of their lives, particularly after a growth spurt before their weight catches up to them. (I was actually a shorter version of model thin bmi at one point, but now I’m a low end of normal, even though I eat less than I did when I was thinner.) I think many develop EDs with the pressure to stay that thin (think Ali Michael). Then, you have those who have some metabolic problem and really can eat whatever they want (ah, to have that luxury!).

  39. Zuwee | 9/07/09

The first models looks the most dangerously thin. The other three are thin but not as bony…

  40. wannabee | 9/07/09

    Clavicle is the new black.

It’s always been this way. A few years ago, the fashion industry said runway models would have to have a certain BMI but we can all see it no longer prevails.

I guess I don’t care all that much.

  41. Mia | 9/07/09

I absolutely love the first one!

  42. nastya | 9/07/09

models are becoming look healthier. it’s good for them and for us.

  43. andrew | 9/07/09

Even the first two, for models, are pretty average weight-wise. There have been (and still are) FAR THINNER girls on the runway… just look up Charlotte di Calypso at Armani Prive a few seasons ago, or Olga Sherer at practically anything.

  44. BellaScarlett | 9/07/09

They are too thin and sickly looking. So sad that women feel the need to abuse themselves in this way.

  45. wccheer | 9/07/09

i love the first dress and the last.
you know, i know these girls are too thin, but i can’t help but be envious knowing that no matter what they wear they will never have fat spilling over or out of any of their clothes. sounds sad, i know, but i’d love to have skinny legs!

  46. tara | 9/07/09

i can’t believe some people think it is healthy and gorgeous to look as ill as the first two do.

i mean, their knees look bigger than their thighs!
    That cannot be normal.
I would not compromise my health for a job.

love the dresses though, especially the first and last.

if the camera really adds 10lbs, i wonder how thin they really are…
    it’s kind of heartbreaking IMO

  47. Emmie | 9/07/09

Well said Becky:) And the 2nd one is absolutely gorgeous-she looks ethereal…

  48. claudia | 9/07/09

    PLEASE DE REPLY!!!
    OK!!
FIRST: Models are usually thin to begin with, so during runways season, they do diet and end of looking like they do.
SECOND: I agree with fellow bloggers that everything in Haute Couture is made to be un-reachable to all of us…it is a faantaaasy.
THIRD: Thinking that one can achieve this look and survive is just delusional. Why do many models become moms and life happily ever after while those who follow end uo death in a four by four hospital room.
    Take care my dears

  49. Kiki | 9/07/09

The only reason we believe models HAVE TO be thin is because we are used to seeing models who are extremely underweight and so have been trained to be judgemental of models who are not. If we saw more regular women modeling clothes (and I don’t mean fat–I mean like 125-145 pounds or in that range) we would get used to it and stop being so critical if a model so much as has breasts. At one time, women with breasts and hips were considered ideal. Sure, there were always Audrey Hepburn types (who had an eating disorder, btw, it is now known), but most actresses/models were slim and HEALTHY back in the 1950’s. Not underweight. Take a look at Marilyn Monroe, Ingrid Bergman (in her prime), Elizabeth Taylor, Kim Novak–these women were soft and beautiful and certainly not overweight. Honestly, women like Jennifer Lopez and Kate Winslet should be the ones modeling nowadays–or Scarlett Johannsen–or Jessica Biel–or Beyonce–they are “model” women, meaning, the most beautiful, the most desirable. Underweight boyish “models” are “models” of drug addiction and eating issues, and nothing more. They are certainly not models for beauty.

  50. Persephone | 9/07/09

I love the dresses. They are gorgeous.

  51. anon. | 9/07/09

The first two do NOT look well!

  52. s | 9/07/09

It depends on how old they are, the problem is they pluck these 14 to 17 year old girls from extreme poverty. They are naturally thin but as they get older (in their 20s) they gain a normal and healthy amounts of weight but the modeling agencies tell them they have to stay as thin as they were when they were in their teens (which is unhealthy) and what else can these girls do? They are making big money and if they were to stay in Russia or Brazil or where ever then they can’t support their families. I know this isn’t always the case but often it is and it’s fucking sad how these girls are exploited.

  53. Stylish | 9/07/09

How on earth do get that thin…what on earth must you eat, or not eat…?

Especially to have clear skin if you hardly eat, eh!!???

  54. Kianna | 9/07/09

The 1st two (models) are way toooooo thin! The others are also tooo thin…but I guess if they want to risk their health by dropping dead before they get to the end of the runway…that is their business. I think that Elle McPherson & Cindy Crawford were thin (not as thin as these girls) and what “models” were/are intended to be. These uber way too thin models WILL NOT AGE well when they get to be Elle’s, Cindy’s and a very other (older) models’ ages. Some of the countries (I think these were gals from France?? Not certain) but many countries do NOT stand by the 18.0 to 18.5 BMI standards.

  55. justathought | 9/07/09

the first two are way too thin and i know that models are supposed to be thin and the second two are a perfect example of model-thin but not unhealthy. the first one especially is killing herself…poor girl she prbly thinks she has to b this thin to get jobs they shouldnt pressure these girls

  56. Oksana | 9/07/09

    Models diet

Breakfast: multivitamin, black coffee and a cigarette
Lunch: diet coke, diet pill and a cigarette
Dinner: lots of coffee, diet coke and cigarettes.

Drugs can be added if desired.

  57. Vlada | 9/07/09

I agree with the comments that these models are not even that thin, as far as models go.

I like the way they look. I’m sorry, but I like the bone-thin look.

  58. ashley | 9/07/09

Everyone saying runway models should look like this needs to be slapped. Noone should be this skinny, it isn’t natural. But also there should be 200 lb people on the runway. There should be healthy people doing the runway, naturally skinny, not starving myself skinny. This is what girls look up too, think they should look like, and why there are anorexic girls, maybe they aren’t the only reason people are anorexic but they are a big part of it.

  59. KT | 9/07/09

They look like aliens. Not my cup of tea.

  60. Erica | 9/07/09

I think they’re too thin and look weird. I think someone like the size of, for example, Blake Lively or Shenae Grimes would look better modelling clothes than them.

  61. Pet Peeve | 9/07/09

Not every model is starving themselves or doing drugs to be this skinny. I happen to know at least a handful of people who eat anything they want and stay below 110lbs. It’s just pure genetics.

  62. Tee | 9/07/09

I like how they look, sorry. Except for the first one, she looks like she might die. But otherwise I really don’t see a big deal, they are just thin.

  63. abi | 9/07/09

This is good to remind me what I’m comparing everyone else and myself to. Don’t forget, they are all about 17 years old as well!

  64. PandaBear | 9/07/09

Love the fourth dress, the first two I would wear as lingerie but the shoes look silly. The third dress just looks stupid. The girls in the first two photos look emaciated, in the last two they look fine weight wise though. The camera angle paired with the boney knees and heels don’t help their appearance either.

  65. blizzards | 9/07/09

wow, i’m sad for the people on here that think they look healthy. the first girl looks like she’d snap if she fell. i agree with the comment that knees should NOT be bigger than the thighs. we all know girls who are naturally skinny, blah blah blah- come on, this is not natural. those shoulders on the first two and the gaunt faces?? these girls are not eating.

that being said, i love all of the outfits and don’t have a problem with models being thin, i think it makes it interesting and adds to the intrigue, but i’m tired of people trying to make excuses that this is natural.

  66. carrie | 9/07/09

Any guesses of bmi? maybe about 17.5?

  67. dida | 9/07/09

I think they still look healthier than paris & nicky hilton

  68. stacey | 9/07/09

these are not the wordt ones

  69. Christine | 9/07/09

The first girl’s thighs and calves are the same size. NUTS.

  70. Zoomy | 9/07/09

All of the images are from the latest Valentino Fall ‘09 runway.

They are not superanorexic. Just toned up and skinny.

    Nothing negative, imo.

  71. Keeley | 9/07/09

Okay anyone who thinks these models look normal is insane. They are not healthy, clearly.

  72. loveemedo | 9/07/09

    @ carrie
oh heavens- bmi is so warped, but the first 2 are definately less than 17.5. my bmi is 17, and im not skeletal!!

    they must be like 16.

  73. loveemedo | 9/07/09

    or even 6.

    ahahaaa

  74. Nyyx | 9/07/09

I like thin but not the “I’m about to die..” look. 99% of women in the world don’t look like that without some serious starving.. If I had my choice someone like Jessica Biel would be a super model. Beautiful figure, thin, & healthy!

  75. Les | 9/07/09

I hope they all die from starvation

  76. Angela | 9/07/09

I can’t help it, I like their look!

I’m not saying their healthy but I think they are gorgeous and while it is so unattainable in reality without being seriously sick, I’d prefer that over myself.

Clavicles, cheek bones, tiny waists… I like it.

And no I’m definitely NOT pro-ana – just because someone likes the stick skinny look doesn’t mean they are pro-ana.

  77. rachael | 9/07/09

the knees on the second model are wider than her thighs!!! eek

  78. Lin412 | 10/07/09

I’d have to say the 1st girl probably doesn’t have an ED bc I’d bet money she is 15-16 max but the 2nd girl on the other hand yes has issues. I have experience. I remember two seasons ago I did a runway show in NY and was baffled by this one girl who was way smaller than the girl in the 1st pic. I later found out she was 12 and that’s why her parents where with her back stage. To me it exploitation of young girls.

  79. sofia | 10/07/09

i loooveeee the dresses! so gorgeous

  80. Tina | 10/07/09

The first girl’s legs are so beautiful. Im sorry, but they are. She is very thin…but she does not look sick. What I mean is her skin is looking healthy, her hair looks healthy, over all she doesnt look sick. Get my drift?
    Second girl is stunningly beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    3rd and 4th are boring

  81. I wish I stayed. | 10/07/09

Identical skinny bodies start to bore me.

  82. person | 10/07/09

    first

  83. raluca | 10/07/09

they are skinny as f*ck. ew.

  84. Anastacia | 10/07/09

just the first one looks too skinny.
the other models look pretty normal imo…

  85. Dani | 10/07/09

    Selezneva and Onopka= PERFCTION

  86. Lim | 10/07/09

They are skinny, but the first one is too skinny. Yeah, models should be skinny to fit in those runway dress. But not over skinny. Nowadays male model are skinny like female models too. mmmmm

  87. drama queen | 10/07/09

They are very thin but also very young. It’s easier to be this thin when your young. Of course they are very thin but I like to watch them. I know, however, that my lifestyle and my age are not compatible with such look and I’m fine with it. I don’t expect to look like this or a Playboy model for that matter. Be the best you can in the life you have. I’m losing it… Of course, they’re thin but these 4 look naturally thin.

  88. semma | 10/07/09

That just makes me feel so fat and bad about myself. Low selfesteem, r u kidding me? Yeah, well, this is where we’ve come to, i guess i just need to get used to it.

  89. maarja | 10/07/09

the first and the second one have great bodies, they’re slim and fit … the third and the fourth one – i don’t like it, i think they’re a little bit too chubby to be models …

  90. Sanne | 10/07/09

I don’t understand why everyone likes the image of emaciation so much. To me, these girls look bad. They need help.

  91. izzy | 10/07/09

the 3rd one down looks ok. the rest are super skinny, but im not gunna deny i would like to be that skinny! (even if it was just so i could spend some time gaining 10lbs without feeling bad!)

  92. chaz | 10/07/09

Those poor girls. My heart breaks for them. They probably are so very unhappy :( None of them look like this is their natural weight. There is nothing attractive about the bodies of these girls, they look ill, frail and sad :( No wonder ED’s are on the increase, with these sorts of images being thrust at the young, and/or impressionable.

  93. Lenore | 10/07/09

The first two are way too thin, but the last two have the same body as me, so I probably shouldn’t say anything lol.

  94. callie | 10/07/09

I think the third model has the best body out of all of them. She looks thin, but it looks a lot more natural on her, and there’s none of this freakish knees-bigger-than-your-thighs syndrome going on with her. The first two are clearly severely underweight. If BMI restrictions were being adhered to, there is no way they would have been allowed out on the catwalk.

  95. pescadilla | 10/07/09

    the first two are disgusting

  96. Claire | 10/07/09

Mannequins, simple. Skinny one’s, but all the same. For the purpose of displaying the designers collection. Clothes hang better on tall slender women.

It’s not a beauty contest. Haute Couture does translate to real women, but it isn’t the purpose of the show. The attention is the design not the individual.

    Lovely collection.

  97. balanced. | 10/07/09

The women are extremely thin, but it bothers me that I think they look normal. Honestly, for our society, this is “normal”. We’re pretty warped, though.

    Love dress # 3!

  98. megu | 10/07/09

    They are beautiful.

  99. happygolucky | 10/07/09

my avoiding moderation ploy didn’t work LOL

  100. bountyhunter | 10/07/09

The first one looks a little questionable/she seems awful thin, and the second is not far behind her. That being said, this is really not the thinnest out there and I don’t think they are too thin. Snejana Onopka and Sasha Pivovarova are much tinier… beautiful, yes, but in an almost scary way. These women are not that bad.

  101. person | 10/07/09

haha happygolucky– I have my “ploys” too (feeble, I’m sure, but it’s kind of a fun game now)

    Good point, Claire.

  102. SophieD | 10/07/09

The industry really needs to change. Yes, I like seeing thin beautiful models, but just not this thin. I have been to fashion shows and it is so socking in person to see how thin the girls are. They look exhusted, hungry and too young. Really it is criminal.

  103. Cherry405 | 10/07/09

Plz, can somebody tell me the Name of the frist model, the black girl?

    Thank you.
    Cherry405

  104. levi1eye | 10/07/09

If they wish to have clothes-hangers model their ‘creations’ they should use clothes-hangers. Not human beings.

  105. Michaela | 10/07/09

    First one is PERFECT.

Snejana Onopka isn’t in this show @ whoever said so.

  106. barbie | 10/07/09

I think most of these girls look great.

  107. hc | 10/07/09

Though I don’t have a problem with the runway models being very thin because I understand that it’s really supposed to be more about the clothes, I always feel like it’s kind of stupid that there aren’t more different body types represented, too. I mean does it have to be ONLY insect stick girls?

And I also can’t help but feel that it is exploitation because so many of these girls are 13-15 years old. Seems like one step above the whole little girls in pageants thing. And I just think that it’s totally crazy that anyone over the age of 20 and under the height of about 5′9″ would try to emulate these women. I do not consider these women the ideal and if given the choice to have this body I would say, “No thanks.” These women look beautiful here, but put them in normal clothes and no make-up in the grocery store and they look bizarre.

I’d much rather look like Jessica Biel or Halle Berry myself.

  108. jade518 | 10/07/09

The only one who is questionably too thin in this bunch is the first one. I think all of the others look how models should look. Models are supposed to be thin, that way the focus is on the clothes, not the models. And can I just say, that collection is gorgeous!

  109. Creepy Doll | 10/07/09

Ewww. I keep on saying super skinny women have fugly legs.

  110. Shae | 10/07/09

Very skinny, but there has been skinny. As long as someone isn’t killing themselves, being thin on runway is better looking.

  111. otherclaire | 10/07/09

“What do you all think – should they be this thin? Or not?”

y’know, what do I care? they’re models, their job is to be living hangers.

sorry if I sound callous. As I get older I just realize that 98% of us are not them, are not expected to look like them or be like them so why sweat it?

  112. sama | 10/07/09

the first girl is wasting away, poor thing. but some models have it come to them naturally, so although it’s almost definite some girls have EDs, sometimes it’s just down to genetics.

on the other hand, the dresses are drop-dead gorgeous!

I agree with Claire, it is their job. I feel no pity for them what-so-ever!!!
And none of you should either

All look thin, but none of them look sick.

  116. Asiont | 10/07/09

they look great, I really like their look and I cannot see anything unhealthy in their look

  117. Cherry405 | 10/07/09

Plz, can somebody tell me the name of the frist model, the black girl?

  118. 19CharacterUsername | 10/07/09

LOL @ Oksana’s comment. Very true.
I’m torn on this skinny model debate. Because even though it’s wrong for healthy people to feel fat in comparison. How can someone (by law) not be given a job because of their weight? That doesn’t seem right to me. I think if underweight models were banned off the runway and replaced with average sized models, then the people with poor mental health (who would have otherwise went down the eating disorder path) will just choose another (potentially worse) coping mechanism to get by (e.g. drug addiction, alcoholism, self harming, other mental disorders etc). Lets just sit and wait ’til underweight is “so two minutes ago” and another body type is all the rage!

    Beautiful girls.

  120. fat&ugly | 10/07/09

Anna Selezneva is nowhere near 13… more like over 20

  121. justine | 10/07/09

they are thin, esp the 1st, but that how they’re supposed to be: walking beautiful hangers. does nothing for my self esteem, though

  122. Hell on High Heels | 11/07/09

Last dress is pretty. I think they are definitely too thin. The original supermodels – Christy Brinkley, Cindy Crawford, Naomi, Linda, etc etc… they were actually around a size 6. I remember watching a documentary about them about ten years ago and it’s pretty surprising how much the standards have changed. That’s really too bad, as it has obviously had a very negative effect on many young girls.

  123. Dee | 11/07/09

1st looks like a sad skeleton
    2nd looks like a grandPA
    3rd is a bit better
    4th…it’s hard to tell

1 and 2 is way too thin even for a catwalk model. Emaciation also makes it difficult to focus on clothes (like curves do). Their legs are just hideous

  124. Ika | 11/07/09

I used to be a model when I was in my 20s. I had to lose 20 pounds for a start and to maintain that insane weight I couldn’t eat more than 3 apples a day. That’s why I stopped. At least I am still alive today ;-)

  125. ellena | 11/07/09

What the hell happened to banning super skinny catwalk??

  126. ellen | 11/07/09

    i think they look great!

  127. Creepy Doll | 11/07/09

If these girls eat three apples a day, then I would say modelling is the same job of a kamikaze

  128. bella-elizabeth | 11/07/09

    ah! i love it.

  129. Sallyanne | 11/07/09

come on let’s be honest, only 1 in 100 girls are naturally this thin [if that]….itz all smoke and mirrors behind the scenes it’z cocaine coffee and cigarettes, and not much else. My friends cousin [who i sharn't name] was a runway model and they were given pizza [in front of photographerz, all for good publicity] and my friendz cousin told her they ate it and puked it back up [the cousin said she's seen girls poo themselves after taking too many laxatives, and im talking FAMOUS models] itz not glamourous or healthy

  130. mia | 12/07/09

this isn’t what i consider beauty. in the slightest.

these women would be breathtaking with another 10lbs (at least) on their bones. would they book as many shows? i don’t know. but personally, i’d put my health above my career as priorities in my life. i’m not a doctor but they don’t look healthy at all.

maybe this is ‘acceptable’ in society because they’re models, but if i was this slim i’m pretty sure everyone who loves me would be freaking out.
but then, it’s their bodies i guess… i don’t envy their life if it means having to be this skinny.

  131. 2di4 | 12/07/09

they all look like normal beanpoles to me. not hyperskinny.

  132. a | 12/07/09

SOME MODELS CAN’T HELP BUT BE THAT SKINNY, NORMALLY.

I know Kate Somers and she’s just naturally that skinny and bony. She eats a ton, plays sports (is on our school’s field hockey, cross country running, and ski team) and she’s just that thin!

I hate when people hate on models just because of the body they were born with. It’s shallow!

  133. 2di4 | 12/07/09

for the record, i looked like that when i was a teenager all the way through college and i never dieted or had an eating disorder. youth, metabolism, and genetic predisposition, with just a little exercise will yield a lot of girls a body like these. plus they’re tall, which makes them look lankier. i don’t see the mark of ill-health or extremes on any of these models.

  134. ms_benes | 12/07/09

    I can’t believe I’m saying this…They are too thin.

  135. clara | 12/07/09

number 3 and 4 look good.

  136. Luci | 13/07/09

I think they should have a little bit more meat on their bones, it would look healthier and more beautiful

  137. nicole | 17/08/09

its up to them how skinny they want to be.
and if its required to be skinny to be a model than they should be.
theyre not getting paid to just sit there

  138. Renae | 21/08/09

    they are perfect!.
