Although still pretty thin, she’s not looking quite as super-skinny as she did a couple of months ago. She looks slightly healthier!
As previously mentioned on this site, Marcia admitted to the press last year that she was basically “paid not to eat” and that she once starved herself for 10 days in order to prepare for a lingerie scene.

She said she was paid not to eat? Interesting, at least she is honest. She looks very thin as usual, perhaps she has gained just a little bit in the thighs/butt.

I think her features are pointy, hence the wicked look. That’s why she’s more becoming when her hair is down with soft curls or waves. Can’t tell about the weight gain.
her arms look toned. i wonder how she could not to eat for 10 days. i guess i would just die from low blood sugar. i cannot really starve for too long. but it is not healthy anyway and you can gain lots of weight after the starvation is over.

She needs a spray tan immediately! The paleness and all those freckles just don’t look good. There is no sexual appeal to this woman at all.
Oksana, I’m with you; I don’t know how anyone can just not eat. I would faint from low blood sugar. Starving is a rediculous thing to do for a paycheck.
She looks evil because of her harshly shaped eyebrows. And I really think her arms look bad. They are soft. She needs to do some light weights or something.
i think she is one of the weirdest looking people i have ever seen. she looks especially bad from the side view, but ok body wise.
You have to appreciate her honesty, but that’s a sad statement about our world.

I recently saw that lingerie scene, and she was freaking skeletor. I cringe whenever I see Marcia Cross updates, she is so harsh looking.
I like her body, especially from the waist down but I don’t care for her face or her paleness.
I’m crasy about her hair, her’s and Julianne Moore’s.
She is very classy, but the last time I saw her in DH I thought she had too much botox, like Nicole Kidman.

She’s 5′8″, and wearing a platform heel or wedge heels. The girl next to her isn’t wearing heels at all. Anyway, her body look okay. Not a fan of how she is aging though.
I think that Marcia DOES LOOK a little healthier and her arms look a bit more toned here. Her thighs look a teeny tiny bit more filled out which is good b/c they were practically non-existent in some of the more recent posts/pics of her. I also think that perhaps she lost even more weight than the 10 days she starved to do her lingerie layout. I think that she has been really stressed out w/her husband having throat cancer and the treatments he had to endure. It had to be stressful her…especially since she has her twin girls to care for as well. IMO, she probably lost weight due to the stress with her husband, Tom Mahoney’s illness.
I hope she’s being paid A LOT not to eat, because she looks cadaverous. And that’s in a PHOTO!!!

Yeah, if her weight loss was due to her husband’s illness, then I can totally sympathise with her because it obvs wasn’t intentional. I’m glad she’s starting to look a little healthier and I hope Tom gets better.
At her skinniest she still never looked as scary as Hatcher.
I like her porcelain doll look. And at least she’s honest, for that I think she’s a lot better than idiot celebs who starve themselves but claim they eat everything..
She’s looking better. And she’s my absolute favourite on DH. Her and Kyle McLachlan together are the funniest part of the show.

Maybe she’s gained a little. Hard to tell from the angle but she still looks too thin.
And maybe she has an ed, or maybe she lost weight b/c of the stress of her situation, but does it really matter why? Either way she needs to deal with things in a healthier way. Just my opinion.
And who ever gave her “props” for starving herself for 10 days needs to rethink …it’s nothing to be proud of. It was a sick way of thinking and acting on her (Marcia Cross) part.
to suggest that she needs a spray tan is absolutely ridiculous…and it irks me that people only find ‘tan’ beautiful and do things like spray a substance on to mask the natural color of her skin. with that being said, i think she’s starting to look better. we always see her wearing practically the same outfit too, though.
I agree. people who are naturally this pale, like Julianne Moore, would look stupid with spray tans.
Marcia is still too thin. When bones are popping out of your chest, enough is enough. And I can’t believe that she fasted for 10 days … It’s sad really.

I have no idea where the author of the site got the quote that she starved herself for 10 days. I don’t think its true. I’m a HUGE Marcia Cross fan, and I would remember something like that. She said that she restricted her diet before that scene, but she never said that she didn’t eat at all.
She’d look younger if she put on a few pounds. Guess she went for her arse rather than her face.
as pale as you get would look better than spray tan. orange is foul unless your skin is naturally oompa orange.
@ fosse, everyone is entitled to their pet peeve, of course, but I really wasn’t aware that people were sporting this particular look a lot lately. As far as jeans go, isn’t Hollywood more into skinny jeans and flats, still? Which certainly doesn’t suit every one and the older you get, the more you want a flattering, classic style like the bootcut…and in Marcia’s case, it really accentuates her long legs.
@Pam…she starved for 10 days, doesn’t mean a fast or that she didn’t eat anything at all. A starvation diet is anything less than 1000-1200 (depends on who you ask) calories a day. And if you’ve seen that scene, as you prob have, then you can see how very thin she is.
the sad thing is she didn’t even look good in the lingerie scene so it wasn’t even worth skipping the pasta for!

@hhh When she said that she gets paid not to eat, she didn’t mean that the skinnier she is, the more she gets paid. Her salary is the same regardless. So no, she is not greedy. She just meant that staying thin is part of the job description. She’s also said that the wardrobe department keep on giving her clothes that are too small for her, if you can imagine.

im in the process of dying my hair this colour =oD i LOVE it! i can never stop looking at her on DH…and i love Nicole kidman in prectical magic…and lilly cole…ugh they are all so striking…
im sorry but anyone who has to starve for 10 days is not doing the right thing. I have to be in shape 24/7 and do it with a good, clean diet (well…except chocolate) and very hard training. People think starving is the answer and its sooooo not. Ugh.
