I think that Hilary is a beautiful & gorgeous young woman (whether OR NOT she is at the lowest end of average weight or a bit towards a higher end of normal weight)! She’s only like 5′2″ and 3-to-4 lbs are going to show up MUCH more quickly than if she were…say like 5′6″ tall or taller. She is comfortable & confident & happy with herself within (inner self) and without…(what she presents to us) …the public! She does look a bit like Blake Lively (hair/make-up, etc). That dress, though, does NOT do Hilary any justice. IMO, it accenuates her weight PLUS the camera always adds about 8 to 10 lbs. As mentioned, we DO NOT see her on the party scene needing someone to help (her) stumbling out of the night clubs nor is she a drug addict or going to rehab (or rehabs…in the case of LiLo for instance!)
I had heard that the producers of Gossip Girl had asked Hilary to lose some few lbs so she’d fit in more a bit more with the skinnier actresses on Gossip Girl. I hope that is not true. It is NO wonder so many of the skinniest actresses are taking cocaine or adderall, etc to lose weight, suppress appetites! I really admire Hilary for not succumbing …there are others who have NOT succumbed (IE: Amanda Bynes, Hayden Panetierre, Anne Hathaway…and a few others). GO HILARY!
She is so beautifull! The dress is amaziiiing i love it… The thing with Hilary is her body type it makes her look bigger cuz if you see her legs they are fit and slim, i think shes so cute and adorable and looks amazing a good add to the show I cant wait to see her

honestly, I think she is the same weight as most non-celebrity women. The camera does add 10 pounds they say but at least she is at a healthy, normal weight.
I think I’m a similar body type to Hilary. I look higher end of average, but with the right clothes I can look good. She looks like someone who’s a lot heavier than they look – like people always underestimate her weight!

i love love love hilary duff! she is a gorgeous woman. however…i know myself i can gain weight very easily. i am 5′4 and around 125 pounds. the heaviest i was at 150!!!!! which is utterly ridiculous when i think about it but i had HORRIBLE eating habits and ate whatever i wanted and never worked out.
so that being said, i cant just eat whatever i want. i try and workout at least every day, burning around 500 calories. i have to watch what i eat or i will gain weight. my face and arms show the first signs of weight gain…. so i feel for this girl.
however…she could be working out more and she would be able to maintain that healthy figure she had AFTER her eating problem… where she didnt eat at all and lost a ton of weight (after the duff puffed up thing).
she is so gorgeous that the weight doesnt even affect her, but i know she can look better than that.

She is soooooo beautiful, I love Hilary regardless of her weight gain. If she’s being healthy then who cares, better then when she was like starving herself a few years back, that’s not good for anyone. I do think she’d look better if she lost maybe ten pounds, but like I said if this is how she naturaly is and she’s healthy more power to her.
The earrings and dress are extraordinarily tacky, is she playing a porn star/actress/stripper on GG? That’s what the outfit says. (Not the shoes). Hilary’s face is pretty, but she has pudged out unfortunately. She really could use to lose some size, and tone up a great deal.

She gains weight in her arms, as I said in yesterday’s Hilary post, and I agree, they could put her in something that is more flattering. That dress has the potential to be gorgeous if perhaps the hem were asymmetrical/flowy or at least past her knee. She probably would also look better with some kind of halter so there is a break for the eye between her neck and her shoulder. She’s broad up top.
Regardless, she has a nice figure, normal compared to the rest of Hollywood. Could she tone up her arms? Sure, but so could most. I think she looks just fine.

I 100% sympathise with Hilary on the arms front – this is the first place I gain and the last place I lose. Even when underweight I struggle to find tops to fit my arms.
People have to realise that with this body type it’s not a matter of “toning” or “exercising” the arms – it’s just not that simple. I do an hour of weight training per day on my arms and have a low body fat percentage – but they’re still disproportionate and make me look bigger than I really am. This seems to be the case with the Duffster.
Anyway – enough of that. She’s gorgeous. I really like her.

Hillary is so gorgeous, but I agree with everyone saying the stylist should have known better.. he should have put her in something with a drape sleeve that would hit around the mid-to-low bicep or elbow, or even a long-sleeved mini dress. Showing off her legs is fine, but in this dress, she’s going to look so big compared to the other actresses on the show.. it’s cruel. There are soo many better ways to camouflage a larger upper body, it seems ridiculous he put her in a strapless mini.. there are a million better options for her.
