As you may already know, Portia suffered from a bout of anorexia back in her ‘Ally McBeal’ days. At one point, she got down to an emaciated 82 pounds at 5 foot seven and a half inches tall. She lived on about 300 calories a day of jello and sugar-free foods.
She still appears to be quite skinny/bony, but overall she looks a bit healthier than before.

She also got terribly thin during the 2nd and 3rd seasons of Arrested Development–it’s obvious when compared to the first season. Even on film, she looked painfully gaunt.

I love this woman. Weight wise she looks a little too thin and her face has changed over the years. Not sure its just age, the damaging aftermath of her ED, or if she has had unfortunate work done.
That’s one celebrity I’ve never seen as attractive, totally busted face. Weird eyebrows, just about everything looks weird lol. She’s looking skinny but I’m sure Ellen watches after her and makes sure she’s being healthy.
God, she looks sick and old! How old is she? She looks 45. The dress makes her look even thinner b/c it looks too big. Ellen looks good though, very handsome.
To me she doesn’t look healthy. Too thin. Ellen and her and both Vegans I believe. It’s very difficult to find balance on a vegan diet.

i dont think portia is looking that good at the moment but i feel so bad saying that because i adore ellen and i think they’re a lovely couple!!! but even though i’ve been sucked in by their charm i have to say that neither of them are “beautiful” and portia is too skinny! seems like she is rubbing off on ellen too because she is way thinner than she used to be!
erm. yeah, i dont really think she looks that healthy. yeah, she’s looked a lot worse (when she was very ill) but that doesnt really mean she looks well now.
i think facially she is a very beautiful woman, but what the hell has she done to her eyebrows?????? an unfortunate eyebrow lift????? it really looks quite wrong.
As for her figure, I can’t really tell but she looks not overly thin to me. her dress is so unflattering, like a sack. did she use some botox? her face looks plastic.
Her shoulder bones are gross. What did she do to her face?!? Eyebrows lifted way to high! She used to be so pretty. She is looking sickly again.

I think they look great; they look their age. It amazes me how many people expect women in their late 30’s/early 40’s to look 20. Seriously people, don’t be so ageist. There is life after 25.

It makes me mad when people say “not aging well”. I’m sorry not EVERY celebrity believes in plastic surgery and facelifts. She’s aging, it happens to everyone believe it or not. Some people want to stay natural and not end up like Joan Rivers.

Regardless of plastic surgery her skin quality is poor, and I doubt it’s from being Vegan. She could be so pretty.

I think Rian’s right, she does look healthier than she did during her Ally McBeal days. Unfortunately her face looks worse, and somehow it’s not because of wrinkles and saggy skin, it’s the arched eyebrows and the area around her nose, something’s changed there; I know it sounds crazy, I just can’t put my finger on it.
She has great hair, though, and Ellen looks good; she’s got the bluest of eyes without having to resort to silly coloured lenses à la Paris.
She needs some polish on those toes!

i love portia de rossi. if you have ever seen arrested development or better of ted you would know she is absolutely hilarious and very stunning. She is one of my favorite actresses ever. I think she is naturally a tall thin gal (but she does have issues). Check out those shows, she does not disappoint.

Portia & Ellen make a really cute couple. Portia is still quite thin…and she does have on a dress that looks like the one M-K wore in 2004 (to Kids ‘Choice Awards). Yeah, Portia WAS so thin and SO ILL at 5′9″ and 82 lbs back in Ally McBeal. She doesn’t look all that healthy now, though. She does look quite boney from what we can see at the top of her dress. The dress is so loose on her that it’s difficult to actually see her body. She probably isn’t much more than 112 to 118 lbs (JMO). Wonder if the way her face is looking lately is due to the long term effects of her E.D. ??
Her face looks busted. Too much plastic surgery. She’s quite thin, but I think that it suits her. No doubt she’s still got the ED mentality. It stays with you for a long time, if not forever.
Doesn’t look so good and I can’t put my finger on it either. Maybe too much freshening up? Def looks better than the Ally days, but still too thin for her age. (And I’m not saying she’s old. Just that after a certain age, thinness starts to look bad.)

Jeeze….what the heck happened to her face? She looks much older than Ellen. Heck, they both look horrible in these pictures. They must have been tired and the lighting was all wrong.
She has the most pretty feet! Usually feet gross me out, they’re like the ugliest part of the body, but hers are really attractive. I think she doesn’t even need nail polish. Shame about the eyebrows, like everyone else said, and the strained/tired smile.

i think she looks very thin and fragile. i can’t help but get annoyed with her because she as soon as she got to hollywood she started speaking with a fake american accent all the time – in interviews, not just when acting.
